STORY
Nestled at the end of a quiet street in northern Italy lies an abandoned mansion with a compelling story. This once-grand villa, home to a prominent noble family of influential bankers, now stands in ruins, echoing its inhabitants' dramatic rise and fall.
For generations, the family was celebrated for their banking prowess, their expertise passed down through the ages, solidifying their powerful status. In the early 1900s, they built this magnificent villa, where Alessandro, the last of the family line, lived with his wife Isabelle and their children, enjoying a life of contentment and prosperity.
But in a cruel twist of fate, their serene existence was torn apart when Alessandro was accused of embezzlement. Forced to flee, he left Isabelle to defend his name. Determined and courageous, Isabelle sold the villa and all their possessions to fund his defense.
After a prolonged and grueling legal battle, Alessandro was exonerated. Yet, the victory came too late. The family had lost everything and never returned to their beloved villa. Abandoned in 2007, the once-opulent home now stands as a testament to the fragility of fortune and the relentless passage of time.
Join us as we explore the remnants of their former life, where faded photographs, decaying furniture, and overgrown gardens whisper the forgotten tales of wealth and power brought to their knees.

If I were wealthy, I would purchase the villa, restore it to its original beauty. I would also keep all of the furniture, and restore those too. Finally I would hang all of the paintings, throughout the house. Those are just my dreams. How can anyone let a unique, and historical home, go to ruins?
Imagine having to sell all your belongings to defend yourself, be found innocent and have nothing left. That just doesn't seem right to me.
The stuff of nightmares. I wonder if there are descendants around today?
Thats the italian justice.
A more appropriate title to this video would have been "an accusation of fraud..."
I also have same though 😉
Buongiorno Lesley e Danny ❤
Grazie carissimi siete meravigliosi ❤❤.
I love their calming voices and the way Lesley descibes marvelous little things.
My wife and I are from America. We live in the state of Montana. We have watched every episode on your channel and are now exploring Danny’s channel as well. We love you guys, you are both so professional. Definitely the best exploration channel on TH-cam. Thank you both for bringing us with you as you explore these beautiful places. We would love to meet you both someday. That would be amazing. Thank you both and stay safe my friends. 🙌🙌
I did not know that Danny had a channel, what is it? He does well with the camera work!

It should be in the description where all things are listed .
So many beautiful antiques are lost so needlessly.
I often wonder why no one is doing salvage work in these magnificent homes. Seems wrong to let so much art and beauty rot away in the dark.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of antiques, rugs, art and many lost jobs in restoration of same. The waste is as stunning as the mansion itself. Smh. Thanks for sharing, tho. You bros find the most amazing places. Peace.
Beautiful Bedroom furniture in the Master bedroom…. Magnificent wood work👍🏽
So glad you guys show RESPECT to these Estates. As you ALWAYS REMEMBER, people actually lived in these homes, and had lives. Some, NOT SO NICE, but LIVES NEVERTHELESS!!!! I LOVED the Light Fixture where the Little Cherub was just HANGING ON!!!! SOOOOO CUTE!!!! And the "Bench" you saw was actually a "DAY BED".
I bet the separate "attic" area rooms were for servants when the house was first built! You showed several photos from the 1920s, which is very cool! Great tour, thanks as always!
I think so too
Another great tour guys. That puppy looks like a young Great Dane.
I just love you guys. Your polite to each other, and treat each other with respect. My family migrated from there. It’s true sadness to everything go to waste in there. So love the beauty within that place. Thank you, for all you do to bring into our lives. Stay safe and know we all care about both of you. Love from Arizona 😊
Wow this place is gorgeous! I wish I could restore all of these beautiful old homes! Awesome video bro’s! ❤️🤘👍😘
Watching an exploration of an Italian mansion or palace is always thrilling to me!😍 So many precious items in each of those styled bedrooms! The art room is mesmerizing, I love the stained glass and the painted walls and ceiling! So sad to see all this decay !
Great job, ,Lesley and Danny!
You are more than wonderful ,as always! ❤

thank you!!
Beautiful home. I think it's quite haunted with all of the noises coming from everywhere! Thanks for sharing this video! ❤
House is decaying but there some priceless antiques in there. Love the terazzo floors.
The grand piano is actually an upright piano.
Perhaps that separate area up the stairs was originally the servants quarters?
What happened with the new owners after house was sold to them?
While the times have changed and the dangers increase, these documentaries bring a peace that allows us all to know, another place across the world 🌎 there is simplicity and stories to tell of happiness and mystery.. thank you
Wow i cant imagine going through the pain of trying to defend your innocence and loosing everything in the process when finally found innocent . That is so tragic for the family to build their lives again.
What a beautiful and grand home! I hope someone saves all those antiques before they are completely ruined by decay. That attic apartment may have been servants' quarters.
5:00 with that being a hall tree, the reservoir was likely used for dripping umbrellas.
36:20 that dog is a Harlequin Great Dane. I had one as a child, and he was huge.
I'm on the edge of my seat with this episode. Such a fun fantasy to rescue this beautiful home! Your love of old houses and beautiful things comes right through the screen. You guys are my favorite "abandoned" channel.❤❤
Wonderful exploration. What I like most about your explorations- I get true and realistic look into the personal lives and interest of real people. How they lived, what they chose to collect and sometimes the tragedies they endured. These are a much deeper insight into life than simply paying to tour a pristine manor or castle.
It’s amazing how through your videos I‘ve learned how to identify French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese furniture styles. It’s great!!
I really like seeing abandoned houses that still look good and are very classic, that's really my taste. I hope this channel continues to run and is more successful. Keep up the good work.❤
You were right when saying "recuerdo", remain.....first comunion, primera comunión. (When you first receive the "body of God", in the hostia )consecrated host during the mass. They give you that paper "as a certificate". Its considered you received a religious sacrament in the catholic church.
Nozze means wedding so it's probably a marriage certificate
Curio cabinet in hallway. Once again, thank you, Leslie and Danny. Very nice Villa in Italy. Marble frieze over the doorway.
Thank you, Leslie and Danny for an absolutely fantastic video. I was totally lost in another world.❤
Thank you both. What a beautiful place. It would be a good thing if all that beauty could be saved. Blessings from Arkansas USA
So many beautiful pieces of furniture and the ceilings are incredible! I really enjoyed this video, it was fascinating!
I am a huge fan and have watched every video at least once. Lesley and Danny are great. Grand pianos and baby grands have sound boards parallel to the ground. Upright pianos have sound boards perpendicular to the ground. Most of the pianos you encounter are upright.
I loved the exploration. Very sad to bankrupt you family doing no wrong through your job. This is so sad. Glad she was not wrongfully convicted. Beautiful house and furnished wonderful. I loved the piano too. Tha nk you both. Take care❤
LOVE!!... thank you, Lesley&Danny
Awesome guys, be careful in this house
My friend and I watch Bros of Decay and play the drinking game: when Lesley says "beautiful"
You'll get to where you need to be 😊 🍺 🍷
It is just criminal to leave such magnificent pieces of work abandoned!! any where in the world. Just imagine the craftmanship that went into these carvings alone, time spent that no one can ever get back on creating them. At the very least they should have been salvaged and passed on to some that are in need!! of these items. Injustice all round in this case.
Hey Leslie loved your T-shirt at the beginning heading upstairs from the garage - Costa Mesa - California. 💛
What a beautiful home - I can only imagine what the gardens with fountains & statues looked like back when they all lived there. Imagine some of the dinners and parties they had! So many unique & beautiful pieces inside; much artwork from Asia too; interested to know what each framed piece says?
Awh and the stairways in the house; so much carved detail!!! The many beautifully-paneled entry door to different rooms; all so individually gorgeous. The flocked-fabric chairs/the crown molding - art on every wall/door & the fireplaces! Omg that parquet beautiful floor in the tower bedroom! Piece by piece laid in. Then the master bedroom. Their beds! So much custom (not surprised at all) throughout the mansion/chateau (?)
Leslie -,you’re right-on about the upstairs “guest bedrooms” not feeling lived-in. They remind me of many bedrooms at lake-cabins all around the area of California where I live. They’re just twin beds; non-descript.
Ooh that guest bedroom with the fabric panels (with diamond shape in center) bedspreads don’t match the panels at all!
Thank you both again so much for bringing to us yet another amazing property - and unfortunately a sad story - of a family who lived, who loved, & had many hopes & dreams stolen by fraud!! Love Italy. Thank you!
Where you mentioned there was a second vanity...because it had a marble top it is a washstand. Made so it can get wet! Would have had a bowl and pitcher which you have shown us many times? @24:02

This home at one time was really nice. A lot of money was spent on this place. Again to many antiques rotting away. Its so sad. Most people would love to have any of it in there homes. The fire in the bed room was really bad. This home might be comming back. I think the rooms way up stairs might be servent rooms. Not as fancy as the rest of the house but who knows. Well I hope they were happy there and hope there lives were good. Another great job Lesley and good to see you back Danny. You two stay safe and I will keep watching for the next film of the Bros of decay.
A beautiful explore guys, thank you 😍
Thank you guys so much for sharing your adventures in such wonderful time capsules. Also the your attention to detail. In a chill way. The respect and admiration for places. Cheers!
A wonderful video. TY for sharing.
The narrow kitchen is called a galley kitchen, there are many like that in the United States.. thanks guys for another great video...

I don't know why but I addicted your channel.
Hello from Indonesia... i love the Italian house.. its very big and so beautiful !! I really enjoy each part of the rooms and the explanation.. awesome !!
I don't know why I love watching these kinds of videosss
The upper floors were probably servants quarters . What a beautiful place,so sad to see all the wonderful furniture , paintings left behind.
Hey LESLIE love your videos 🎉
Could that upstairs be the place for the maids? Lesley and Danny are the best. Thank you.
You always go to the coolest places in the world and I would love to fix all of them up. This one is no exception, I could get this one in original condition in about a year and a half. Grounds and everything. It would a lot of fun to do that.
super interesting tour. At around 40:00, one of the books on the dresser was Baudolino, by Umberto Eco, a very well known Italian writer possessing many other talents as well. There were many beautiful floors throughout, funny you didn't mention until later. I expect well off people to have fancier kitchens. Lots of interesting little kitchens in these older villas.
Its so sad that such beautiful places are left to decay like this but at least is not destroyed prematurely like in Bulgaria.
Wow....soo great exploration.....soo many antiques wait to broke.....sad to see that
There was an Italian artist sir name Tibaldi, born 1527, a famous painter, sculptor, architect and mural painter. He may of done those ceilings?? Thanks Lesley and Danny for showing us.
😮 Right around 36 when you were looking at pics of the dog, I saw the name Tebaldi typed on a piece of paper under the pictures. I thought interesting because that was also name of the artist on so many paintings. Maybe he was a friend or relative.
That reservoir in the halltree is for umbrellas to stand, so they don't drip water all over the floor.
Beautiful house. I wonder if the fire in the one room got started from the sun coming in through the windows hitting a mirror or something else reflective. The door may have been shut and it burned itself out. I could not imagine selling everything and in the end to be found innocent. I pray they were able to live out a good life.
Such a sad story and a beautiful home.
The stained glass is extremely expensive, but beautiful 😍.
thank you both so much loved this and you both work so hard xxxxxxxxxxx
So cool! Enjoyed watching!
great video thanks again.
That was one of my favorites
Thanks guys
You guys always do such a nice job. This house is amazing and the story behind it is soo sad. I’m wondering where all the dust is? No cobwebs? Either way, it’s’ just beautiful. Thank you for always doing such a wonderful representing of the people who used to live there 😊
So sad to see a mansion so glorious yet in such despair. I cannot understand how the fire was contained to the one room - on the second floor, nonetheless. It makes me wonder when it happened, and how it happened. Thank you for exploring the abandoned wonders. I always what their story was and where everyone went. Love your channel. XO❤
it seemed centered around the bed considering the condition of the mattress. When beds are involved you often think of someone smoking in bed. Or a kid playing with matches there? They're just lucky it was found right away and extinguished, could have easily been much worse.
Love it watching from 🇺🇸
Such a shame that they lost everything because of a false belief that he had done something wrong😥. This is a beautiful and practical home, very comfortable. That Naumann sewing machine was manufactured in Dresden, Germany.
It is very sad that you have to lose everything just to be proven innocent. That is criminal to me. Whoever accused him should be liable for his expenses. It may make them think twice about falsely accusing someone. 😢
Thanks Lesle.. I love this Chanel😊💜💜🙏
Wow? This house must have been a beautiful, it is interesting place to look around bros of decay
Awesome house thanks for the video
The reservoir was for wet umbrellas. They must have brought outside furniture inside for winter. Hard to get furniture out of home as it is cumbersome. Easier to leave behind. Whomever bought it probably bought it cheap for the land. Dog is harlequin Great Dane. Help always were upstairs and used that staircase. Interesting home.

The room with the baby crib is nice as well…..
Okay, I still don’t get it. The house was sold, presumably including the contents. What happened to the buyer? Why didn’t the buyer do something with the house and/or contents?
It’s a beautiful find. A wonderful tour for sure. Thank you for sharing.
I’m very glad Danny is participating more verbally. His videography is always amazing. Great he is also sharing his expertise.
Lesley as always, I appreciate your take on the contents as you go along.
