Shane Dawson and Ryland Adams went the surrogacy route this last year. Their Boys were born in December of 23 and live in CA if you are not familiar with them. Erin, I so appreciate your candidness. My heart is with you and your family since grief is a nonstop roller coaster. Sometimes it feels like you are coasting and finally have a grip on things and then you plunge into the depths of it just to pull yourself up again. You, my dear, are so emotionally strong to not only share your personal stories, but to also understand others have their own too. We all would be better off if everyone else in the world also had this outlook. As for your hair loss, your autoimmune illnesses are playing a huge role in that along with the stress. Also, every single time you had COVID you upped the hair loss. I have autoimmune diseases too and my hair loss was so, so then and after having COVID just once my hair loss has remained absolutely horrifying. I lose clumps of hair daily. My hair was always fine, yet thick, but it is so thin now. I have tried so many vitamins and supplements, but I do not absorb them well. I have found certain hair masks helpful. I really like making a coffee grounds one with coconut oil. I also use a charcoal one from Maui Moisture, but it was discontinued and I only sporadically find it in Ollie's stores now. I also make my own rice water to spray my hair and sit with it so my ends, especially, heal. Also, to maybe help Matt out; dry mouth spray! I imagine he is breathing through his mouth only right now.
I felt like I just had lunch with my BFF while she updated me on her life 🥺 I struggle with autoimmune pain and flares as well. Praying for comfort through all the procedures and changes. I know your mama is SO proud of who you are 💗

Losing people around the holidays is so traumatizing. I lost my mama a few days before Christmas many years ago, and Christmas was always my favorite. Since then, I've had a pretty complicated relationship with the holiday. I've accepted that I'm not the same person I was before, and there are new ways I can observe the holidays. I've had to adjust quite a bit and always have an exit strategy. It's never going to be completely joyful, but that's allowed me to find new ways to love it and find meaning in other things.
I feel this so much. I am trying to figure out my new Christmas "normal" and I am taking it year by year now. Hoping to come up with new traditions and things that feel almost unrelated so I can moderate the hurt
@@ErinRobinson I’ve found the best thing is really indulging in the spirit of the season. Getting away from the stuff and more towards the meaning and magic. I love volunteering. I cook, but differently than I used to. I have blue lights instead of the gaudy stuff I used to love. I even got a tree that’s very austere and just lights-which is my favorite. It seems to fully encompass my feelings while still being beautiful. I really try to only engage with people I love and I listen to a lot of the Charlie Brown soundtrack bc it’s sorta moody and sad and lets me get my grief out.
Erin I can’t tell you how much I just love and appreciate your videos! You are so genuine and amazing! Keep making whatever content makes you happy, but I love these and the food videos!!

As a COVID Clevver Fan… I wish you and the other girls would have a collective channel and post mini reunion videos with a girl or two in them. Even if it’s done twice a month or something. Glad to hear it wasn’t bad mojo between you and one (or more) of the girls you used to work with. Glad to also hear you speak to the other Clevver girls on the regular.
Thank you for helping to keep us all employed during the Covid craziness!!!! We appreciated it so so much! Clevver was a massive orchestration (dozens of people who were making everything run behind the scenes as well) and while there are certainly folks that weren't my cup of tea there were a lot of people who I still root for and adore! Love the way you describe the Christmas tree situation. So true that we all have our "Christmas trees," and that makes it all the more important to treat others kindly and give them grace. 🤍 You never know what someone is going through or what they're dealing with behind the scenes.
It's true. I never feel this more than when I am driving slowly, and transporting Matt from his surgeries and people are so angry because I'm not driving fast enough not knowing I have someone super unwell in the back. Makes me think less bad things about slow drivers myself!
I feel this so deeply, Lynda. I think getting older and losing people you love only helps you want to leave this world one day when your time is up...because if everyone we loved was still here, we'd never want to leave. Knowing we get to see them all on the other side just allows me peace about going to heaven one day
You're so amazing and strong. You deserve all the happiness in the world. Here's to hoping 2024 gives you lots of blessings! Good luck with the surgeries!
I'm sending lots of healing wishes for you and Matt. I would like to see more vlogs, although of course I love the food content, too! What you said about the Christmas tree really resonated. I lost my late husband 4 days before Christmas in 2012. It took years before I rediscovered my joy in the holidays.

My husband had a septoplasty - he said it was one of the worst surgeries he ever went through. Good luck Matt! He ate a lot of mashed potatoes!! He said once the packing came out if felt so amazing. Just get through the first 3-4 days
I have heard this EXACT feedback from so many! THANK YOU! I made a mashed potato, carrot and chicken mash and so far that's been one of the few things he can eat easily. I wasn't prepared for how much blood would be draining from his nose constantly!!!
I have another biopsy in a month, so I feel ya girl. Just be sure to wear really comfy clothing that is not tight in any way. You’ll do great! When you said you’re just tired of being in pain, that seriously resonated. Wishing you comfort and happiness.

I'm so glad you did this video. I have been wondering how you have been doing after everything. Glad you are getting better. Praying for Matt's speedy recovery! Benjis also ❤. Those biopsies are incredibly important. I've fought cancer already now battling it a second time and I'm only 29.
Wow, thank you for sharing that. I don't know what's going on, but I feel like a LOT of young people are battling cancer more and more and it's so concerning. Thank you for the reminder to make sure I prioritize it
Thank you for sharing your journey, Erin. I agree perfume can really lift your mood. I’d like to recommend a classic Estée Lauder Sensuous. Keep shining and best wishes to Matt’s recovery 🫶
Isn't it wild how something so small like a scent can just change how you feel about the day!! I will have to take a sniff of that the next time I'm strolling at the mall! Although, I am pretty well stocked up for a while with my Scentbird faves
I love this life update. I have watched u since Clevver too. When I seen ur last pregnancy loss video I cried with u. I have been wondering how u have been doing and where I were on that journey. Im happy to hear that u are still trying to pursue children cuz if I remember correctly that last big loss was really hard and u guys weren’t sure if u were going to move forward. I would LOVE to see u with a baby ❤
Yes, it was such a HARD time. The first loss was during the beginning of the shutdown and everything was just so so much. It's just a lot longer of a process to go this route but we're taking it one day at a time
My heart just feels for you. You guys have been through SO much, and yet you've remained so positive. It's so encouraging. I'm currently almost 32 weeks pregnant with our miracle IVF girl, and I just can't help thinking about your ongoing strength, because I feel like I would be so. done. if I was currently where you are. Your strength and joy in the midst of hardship is truly such a gift Erin. I hope you know that! I am praying that when the timing is right, Jesus brings the most amazing surrogate to you guys! Your strength and endurance isn't for nothing. Your story is so important for so many couples💛 I also love the food videos, but had been wondering where yall were at in your fertility journey! Praying if another round of IVF is right for you you'll have undeniable peace! And I'll just be praying for you in general when I think of you. You are not forgotten, and you are loved💛
Congrats on this precious gift!!! I know that little one is going to be the most loved!!!And thank you for your prayers. You’re amazing Erin!! ❤ I’ve had two biopsies before. They honestly are pretty quick. The people that guided me through them were very caring and helped with the nerves that come with a biopsy! I didn’t think it was painful! You got this!!
Soft food - baked ricotta cheese! You mix it with egg and seasonings, put it in a muffin tin, top with shredded mozzarella, bake, and cover with sauce to serve!
Love you girl!! I am happy with anything you put out. I found you via Clevver and have to say, as a fellow southern girl, you are the one I vibed with most. Oh fun!!! I hope you have a blast and I appreciate the support (as always) friend! I do miss the east coast often. I feel like I will live there again one day
Biopsy is not bad. Nerves are normal. Procedure itself is pretty fast and the pinch is real. It will be over before you know it. Have gone through it twice. Not my favorite thing to do but depending on the issue you’re going for sooner is better and you’ll be relieve when it’s done.
Love your channel; fan of the food videos, but really appreciate how you seem to be a real person and videos like this show it - i enjoyed all the questions you did answer, here's one; think you'll do a video with Loryn (sp?) again? You guys were so funny together! Thanks for all you do!
These videos are always great, it's always nice to hear about everything. I'm definitely surprised that the rat problem is so bad! Hearing about Benji was nice, I love animals so much. I think that everything will be fine.
Oh Erin I’m still so incredibly sorry you had that experience with your sweet mommy, you are so worthy, and so strong it shows, it really reminds you to be thankful, we lost our best friend 3/26/23 to murder and I understand the shock the what no omg no moment and man do I ever want to give you any tips but I have none, I just talk to him constantly and count every thing as a blessing, I show more love to those I need to, ugh what a horrible life changing event, you are strong and I believe in your heart you are ready but scared
I feel like tragic things like this change us forever, don't they? It's wild how different the world looks afterwards. Sending you love. I also lost my best friend who took his own life maybe 12+ years ago now and the world has never had quite the same color to it.

I’m a new subscriber and I came for the food reviews but I stay because you’re a real human being and I enjoy hearing about your life as well. Vlogs, Q&As, food - all interesting.
16:02 I had to have 3 spots biopsied I was awake and watched everything. I had a little soreness but nothing too bad. I did ice packs and Tylenol afterwards.
I had been recently wondering about your fertility journey and if the two of you still planned on kids. This came right when i was thinking about your old videos about that. I just had my first baby, so i have kids on the brain, and you and Matt seem like you'd be AMAZING parents. Your kid/kids would be so lucky to have such a fun and loving household. I know Matt had his surgery or both? from your insta and i hope the recover is going very well!
I had a Christmas tree up in my living room year round for 6 years. When I first put it up I was the happiest I had ever been and the tree was decorated so beautifully, I worried that if I took it down I would lose that feeling I felt. After 6 years I had to take it down because I was moving to a new place and I was sad to have to pack it all away, I wanted to keep it pristine like it had always been.
I just wanted to say thank you Erin. Me and my partner have been wanting to start a family for a few years now but like you, I may not be able to carry my own pregnancy due to high risk of serious complications due to lifelong health issues (still going through tests/procedures to figure it out) so we may have to look into adoption or surrogacy. I have wanted to carry my own child for as long as I can remember so the idea that I may not get that experience is so difficult and heartbreaking. All that to say, I understand some of what you're both going through, my heart goes out to you ❤ but also, thank you for being such an inspiration and being brave enough to share your journey, it's really helped knowing I'm not the only one struggling in this way. You've been through so much and I truly hope things work out for you both in the end
Sending you and your partner lots and lots of love. I felt the same way at first, but once I kind of came to terms with our situation I was actually so relieved. Not knowing is worse than knowing because at least you will be able to figure out next steps. There are a lot of people with amazing success stories of adoption or surrogacy out there!!! You can do this, and you will find peace about what's next!
@@ErinRobinson thank you, I don't know anyone else going through the same thing so to hear you say that it was a relief to know either way is reassuring. Of course I'd love to carry a pregnancy but to be parents in the safest way for everyone is the most important thing. Thank you for offering your words of wisdom to an Internet stranger, it truly means a lot and has definitely made a difference 💕 sending love and wishing all the success and happiness to you and Matt (and Benji of course!)
You deserve all the success and love! I appreciate the replies and the honesty ( not just in your replies but in your content too). I've taken up enough of your time rambling on, so wishing you both all the success and thank you again Erin, you've truly made a difference 💕
Soft foods with high protein: Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, ground turkey/chicken/beef, protein balls, tofu, peanut butter, fish. Hope recovery is fast and easy!
Hey Erin! I got a breast biopsy done at the end of 2021. The pain on the table wasn’t bad. They numb the area. I had an MRI guided one. The pain after the numbness wore off was crazy but they give you an ice pack. I would use it. And when they tell you not to lift anything don’t. That’s when it hurt the most for me.
Emily!! I love this!!! I do forget that many of you came to me recently and don't know my full story! Let me know if you like vlogs or not and if you'd be interested in seeing that on another channel?
@@emilyfeldman8788 Me too!!! I just now have to find some time. I was going to start during Matt's recovery but he's had some major health setbacks and Ive been on full time nursing duties. I am ITCHING to get back into it
If Matt hasn’t had the septoplasty yet, there are some tips, maybe. Have a place to sleep sitting up the first @2 nights. Breathing through your mouth only 24/7 for days is a pain. Lozenges and lots of hydration help. I’ve had several surgeries and this was my hardest recovery. Worth it though. This was a very personal video and you did great. You somehow make everything relatable. Best to you.
Thank you for this! I didn't realize he could have lozenges but I am going to give him some today!!!!! Thank you so much!!! How long until you started to feel better? I am hearing about 4 days?
It was about four days or so. I took off two weeks from work. I don’t know if anyone told me that I could have lozenges, but I went through them quickly. The parched mouth was unbelievable.
@@LadyLizAnn I heard a LOT about the dry mouth (I even bought a humidifier for him) but what's so crazy is that he's been unable to breathe properly through his nose for so long he's just used to breathing through his mouth all the time. So for him, it's normal!!! He told me today that even with it being completely packed, he's totally fine. I think his whole world is about to be changed
I used to get sinus infections about four times a year. I didn’t believe that would ever change. I have only had one sinus infection since the surgery, which was almost 9 years ago. I’m now just a normal nose person. Honestly though, if I had to do it over, I don’t know if I would.
Love these recs! We tried eggs and they were still too tough for him but broth and hummus we are stocked up on! Trying to wait until he gets his packing out to dip into the dairy category but that's tomorrow afternoon!
Have you checked your progesterone? I highly suggest a functional wellness doctor. That is huge with fertility. I am currently on my journey to baby too. I love watching you and I pray that your health journey can end with a happy healthy pregnancy and sweet bundle of joy!
Yes! I have some castor oil here but its SO THICK! I don't know if I can do it often enough to see the results. Is it like a once a week mask type of option?
@@ErinRobinson yes that would be fine. Also the product by Tabitha Brown called Donna’s recipe has these drops that helped my daughter’s hair grow back. It’s a lot thinner than the castor oil.

Omggg you have been through a lot ! And to see you still standing is amazing ! Keep that strength and it will all fall in place ❤️❤️❤️
Gosh, haven't we all!? I know we're all going through our own version of madness at any given time! I am almost used to the chaos at this point
I have another biopsy in a month, so I feel ya girl. Just be sure to wear really comfy clothing that is not tight in any way. You’ll do great! When you said you’re just tired of being in pain, that seriously resonated. Wishing you comfort and happiness.
Sending you the absolute BEST outcome for your biopsy!! We got this!!
I love seeing these chatty type videos. Also love your food content, but also love and miss some of the vlogging and lifestyle and fashion stuff💝
Thank for answering all the questions! Can’t wait until your next video!

I'm lovinnggg these different kinds of videos ❤ we really do love to see it
TYSM!! I like making them!!!! Would you prefer to watch this as a vlog on another channel?
I miss seeing you and Loryn hang out, that always felt the most fun to watch and just experience.
Late to the party but, We love to see it. 😊
Sending you hugs, Erin. Keep being amazing. 😁
It's never too late!!!! Thank you for coming in the comments and supporting Laura!
@@ErinRobinson 💚😊
We love to see it!!!
Thanks for being here!
I admire your strength so much. Such an inspiration to keep going through the hard seasons of life. I have been watching you since Clevver and I always look forward to watching your videos. Would love to see some more vlogs! :)
Love these types of videos!
Hoping Matt recovered well! Love your Q&As!
We are believing for something really special to come our way through this journey. We just feel so lucky that we have this option because I know so many people don't. Can't wait for you to be a mom!!!!
@@ErinRobinson you are too sweet! Thank you! 🩷 And I really believe you’ll have something special come your way! Cannot wait to see how the rest of this story unfolds for you both! Thank you for taking the time to write such kind words 🥹 And again, thank you for being so open and vulnerable with us internet friends. You are bold beautiful lady! I love it! 🩷
yessss LOVE "I can do it with a broken heart"!
Yah, that's the best bop by far!
You’re amazing Erin!! ❤ I’ve had two biopsies before. They honestly are pretty quick. The people that guided me through them were very caring and helped with the nerves that come with a biopsy! I didn’t think it was painful! You got this!!
Oh....that makes me feel so much better! I feel like when it comes to procedures, you all give me the BEST advice and tips! Thank you!
Soft food - baked ricotta cheese! You mix it with egg and seasonings, put it in a muffin tin, top with shredded mozzarella, bake, and cover with sauce to serve!
Love this and it also sounds DELISH! Cover it with like marinara sauce?
Yes ma’am! It’s like noodless lasagna.
@@chloebahboey This sounds like something I'd just want to eat any day of the week TBH! Thank you for the recommendation!
@@ErinRobinson you are so welcome!
Love you girl!! I am happy with anything you put out. I found you via Clevver and have to say, as a fellow southern girl, you are the one I vibed with most. Your food videos are always entertaining, but I do love a good vlog 😎 regardless, I will be happy with whatever you put out and always praying for y’all. Sidebar, I also pterodactyl when I eat problematic food 😅
I LOVE A PTERODACTYL TWIN!!!!! Thanks for being here after allllll of the many changes here on YT and in my career! The Clevver OG's are super special to me
I saw this get posted while I'm at Pat Flynn's Pokemon card convention and needed to watch right away! If things change and you end up on the east coast, we're cool here! You know, you're a Carolina girl. I'm rooting for you for everything you covered in this video (and beyond!)
Oh fun!!! I hope you have a blast and I appreciate the support (as always) friend! I do miss the east coast often. I feel like I will live there again one day
Hiiii Erin, hope you're well and Matt is healing quickly 💞
He is on the mend!!!!
Biopsy is not bad. Nerves are normal. Procedure itself is pretty fast and the pinch is real. It will be over before you know it. Have gone through it twice. Not my favorite thing to do but depending on the issue you’re going for sooner is better and you’ll be relieve when it’s done.
Thank you for this, Carolyn! Did you do the mammogram biopsy or the ultrasound guided one?
We love to see it! 🙌
Thank you friend!!!

I love these types of videos and would be into vlogs! ❤❤ You’ve been through so much the past few years. Your strength is inspirational. 🫶

16:02 I had to have 3 spots biopsied I was awake and watched everything. I had a little soreness but nothing too bad. I did ice packs and Tylenol afterwards.
Did you take any tylenol beforehand??
@@ErinRobinson no I didn’t. They numbed everything really well.
@@officialjamia So good to know! Thank you Jamia!
I enjoy any content you make 🙂
I don't know what I did to deserve you all but you all make this job so much fun! Thank you
I had a Christmas tree up in my living room year round for 6 years.
Hugs to you and Matt
Thank you so much Kelly! We will take them!

Thank you so much, Chelsea! Good to see you here in the comments!!!
Loved this video!! I’m so sorry about your mom I had no idea :(
We love to see it!! Adore u ur amazing
We love to see it and you❤

For soft foods with protein, refried beans! You can add salsa, cheese or whatever he likes
We did this!!! And it was a great option! Thank you for the recommendation!
We love to see it ❤
And I love to see this support!!!!!!!!!!!
Soft high protein foods for Matt: bone broth (love Kettle & Fire or Trader Joe’s), cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, eggs, tofu, hummus…

19:38 Pure Black Castor oil is good for hair growth. ( Retired Hairdresser) lol but it works. Dm n if you have questions.
