One side emits a sound 3ms later than another one. Starting from 300Hz there will be stripes on FR graph. Take a look at a classical cabinets: a driver was placed near a back wall, and so both paths were about equal
Not much of a problem for a subwoofer. I build a infrasonic tapped horn with over 8m Horn length and it's the tightest sounding subwoofer i have ever heard.
Awesome! Was this your first speaker build? I've never worked with wood before lol, but might want to build one of these someday. How hard would this be for a beginner to build assuming time and care is taken on the build?
I have been building for 6 years, this is not an easy build. You need to get some experience and knowledge if you want complicated design. There plenty of simpler designs out there. A simple tidy clean build is more rewarding than a messy complicated one.
Don't build these they are trash designs instead you should turn the back of the speaker driver to be inside the case so it actually uses the room to vibrate and make it sound good. The way it's in this video its gonna sound like a hollow 10 inch speaker because of how bad the design is I've heard these designs in person they don't work at all
@@LSCspeakersI'm finishing building the first box, I'll try it and see how it plays. Building this structure was quite difficult, hopefully it will play well, I will consider building more pieces accordingly. Of course, it also depends on the amplifier and the DSP settings.
Spray paints the only way to paint hard to access areas, that can’t be done with a roller, gives better results for sure. Not sure on time, quite ahwile.
No don't most designs with the rear of the driver out of the box sound horrible and don't even sound like bass much at all build scoops or W bins instead which actually use their boxes
@@Joey-ir3lk Any Scoop or W Bin/Box design will stomp this design it doesn't matter what Th38184 whatever number the manufacturer puts on it a Yorkville Esp18 or QSC 118 would stomp this any day.
Very pretty speakers and such a nice video! Would be great with a sound video as well🫶
nice, tapped horns are the nuts, i built double 12s and i love them...
Respecting that you went «all the way» when making this 💪
Very cool!
I've built small tapped horn (THAM 12) subs too. this makes me wanna build some more and bigger ones. But I would need all panels pre cutted in shape.
nice build

Great build, well done.
Would love to see more content - are you still making speakers?
Very nice!
blue balled me i need to hear this

@@LSCspeakers Thanks for the advice. Do you think something basic like the G-Sub or another simple braced ported enclosure is where I should start?
@@joemonteithcinematography7477 yeah somthing simple, or try x1 letterbox

Que buen vídeo, felicitaciones!!!
Dónde podría encontrar ese medidas?
Fantastic build!
I love my XOC's. Loaded mine up with 18ps100s and found a swanky 2400w plate amp.
What did you use for the bottom resting rails?
Some skateboard pvc skids, way cheaper thank “pa” stuff when it’s the same
What plate amp did you use? I have been looking for one for these but haven't found anything I'd be happy with tbh.
@@thecanarytest it’s just a metal speakon plate, you can find them on Ali express
Nice build! What speaker did you use?
Thoman 18s
Beautiful build ! how many layers of paint (is it not diluted ?) did you end up putting ?
Just one
Hi, I have a PD1850/3. I am thinking about building 4 of these boxes. I believe it will play well. Are you satisfied with the sound? Thanks Martin.

As pd1850 was the driver on the original plan, /3 would probably work very well.

Slow news day, eh? Just felt like trolling apparently.
XL?
How many plywoods per baffle?
Do it bump doe?
For wich Chassis is that building
What kind of driver are you using for these? Would you mind sharing the plans?
They are online
Build plan ?
Eletro Voice T18 💁♂️
This is a really nice build, lots of attention to detail (and yes I'm ignoring the spray paint 🫣)
How many hours did they take?

Las.medidas me las podéis pasar ? Quiero fabricarlos gracias ❤
Você pode passar as medidas? Quero tentar fazer
Love you project, want to build one, can you share pdf?
Just look up xoc1 plans
What was the speaker that you used?
Thomman 18
What kind of rubber feet is that?
Skateboard skids
is it worth? I am also planning to build these
Yes, but a hard build

Hi, what is the diameter of the wheels? 80 or 100 mm. Thanks M.
100 I think
@@LSCspeakers I tried putting 100mm wheels in there, but they seem too big there, I'd better look into that.
no cone correction?
Could you explain cone correction please?
This is not Danley th118
Nobody said it was.
It's similar is all
LoL it's says it on open Page description and search, Dua
