At some point, I just couldn’t continue watching big little lies because it’s so disturbing yet good. The twisted love and abusive relationship are just too much to take down. I was afraid that one day Celeste would get herself killed but still loves Perry. It’s terrifying when watching all the violent scenes. But man, they portrait such real characters that can connect with the audiences.
For me his defining performance was as Brad “Iceman” Colbert in Generation Kill. Such an amazing performance, one that is definitive for the ages. Really talented guy.
Generation kill is awesome. First time i saw Alexander Skarsgard on a screen. The cast is top of the line and full of talented unknown actors. It's a must watch.
I love watching his interviews, he's so nice and relatable and funny. He always makes me smile. Particularly his first Colbert interview where he talked about being such a huge fan of Stephen's. Too fun.

My ex boyfriend’s mom is in Melancholia (she’s Skarsgård’s mom, no lines if I remember correctly) and she told us he was so wonderful and funny! Stellan too, I think they’re very genuine. Apparently Kirsten Dunst was a sweetheart as well ☺️

I think it's just his swedish accent mixed with what sounds like a southern english accent. Alot of his main tv and movie roles look like it was based in the south (true blood, gen kill, straw dogs, etc) which I don't think helped either.

If you were in the performing arts field, you'd know that. There are so many talented people out there. You have to be lucky too.
Sweds are very humble and not boastful. None of the Sarsgaards have tried to use their father or siblings fame to get roles. I love this about them. Thank you Stellan for making 8 giant beautiful and talented children.

His dad though, very very famous. Alexander, not as much. Most people probably just knew him through his dad. He didn't even have any big roles in any big Swedish movies. He did a bunch of episodes in a low key soap opera in the late 90s called White Lies (Vita Lögner) and then a few forgettable films like Wings of Glass. He was mostly known as a pretty boy.
He is indeed a really talented actor, but Eric Northman will always hold a special place in my heart, that character is the reason I became a fan of Alexander

I remember first seeing him in Battleship, and now I'll forever know him as Eric Northman. Who by far one of my favorite characters ever. Alex is such an amazing and talented man.

Generation Kill is by far one of the most underrated War genre Movies/Series ever made. For me personally, Its on the same level of Band of Brothers, The pacific, Saving Private Ryan, Black hawk down etc. Its so surprising how little people know of it.
Found Alex after watching True Blood. He was perfect as Eric Northman. Melancholia is amazing, as was Generation Kill. I've enjoyed every role he's played. Big Little Lies is next on my watchlist and I'm psyched for The Little Drummer Girl. "Thank God for the Writer's Strike". Probably the first time I've heard this sentiment, haha.
He sounds borderline Texan. In a very good way. Not all Texans have thick accents. He's got such a great way of telling stories. His character in Straw Dogs was INTENSE!!! Wish they'd asked about it.

The roles he plays seems to be quite diverse (unlike some Hollywood actors 👀) that in itself deserves an applaud.

I remember first seeing him in Battleship, and now I'll forever know him as Eric Northman. Who by far one of my favorite characters ever. Alex is such an amazing and talented man.

Generation Kill is by far one of the most underrated War genre Movies/Series ever made. For me personally, Its on the same level of Band of Brothers, The pacific, Saving Private Ryan, Black hawk down etc. Its so surprising how little people know of it.
Found Alex after watching True Blood. He was perfect as Eric Northman. Melancholia is amazing, as was Generation Kill. I've enjoyed every role he's played. Big Little Lies is next on my watchlist and I'm psyched for The Little Drummer Girl. "Thank God for the Writer's Strike". Probably the first time I've heard this sentiment, haha.
