Great review highlighting the pros and cons of the car. I think you should also add "gas mileage" as a part of the criteria.
I felt the same way about my new WRX purchase a few years ago. This car will get lots of options in the aftermarket like the WRX so you can tune/modify it to your liking for not too much $$$.

I have a 2019 370Z 6MT sport pkg with some minor power and handling improvements that I daily drive with no problem. The engine is putting out about 376 hp at the crank and the suspension has been tightened up with some stiffer anti-roll bars(Hotchkis) and so the car performs close to a Porsche 911S.
I like the manual lumbar because it makes chair swaps easy
It does in fact have a subwoofer it’s in the back where the spare tire goes
One way to sum up a daily driver. Does it overheat sitting in traffic?
Daily driving in traffic, engine has no over heating problems.
Brakes are NOT the issues on Z, the pads are. Quiet street pads will melt away on high speed braking. Happened to car mag test on 2009 370Z at track. Change the pads to performance pads with metal.
As a Z Proto Spec owner, describing it as a Japanese mustang is quite accurate. The stock tires it came with are not great. This is my first Rear wheel drive car and it loves to just spin the back tires, which is really easy to do with the 400 hp
Yeah the tires are definitely not the best. It’s the suspension that’s the problem for me.
@@Coyote350 To Nissan’s defense, the other problem is I am driving it in 35-40F weather and it’s not recommended to do that below 45F with the stock summer tires. It’s so hard waiting to drive the thing when the weather gets nicer and we (USA) get out of the winter season. So glad I kept my older car for these winter months because I wouldn’t be able to make it to work without my “winter beater” haha
Nissan probably put all terrain tires on it instead of drag radials. So you can drive in the winter and 50 state legal. The Z needs winter tires for winter, and soft drag radials for summer. In Canada people are wrecking the new Z because it don't have winter tires. All terain are the worst tires for a sports car. All terrain are for trucks that top out at 110mph and SUVs. So you can wreck taking a corner in a new Z with all terrain tires in summer or winter.

Wow, it sounds kind of weird to hear someone with an accent like that say, "Nih- Sann Zee." Generally, if you pronounce Nissan with a soft "i," you then pronounce Z as "zed." Or inversely, if you pronounce Nissan as, "Nee-Sohn, " then you would pronounce Z as "zee. "

Have this on pre-order, now second guessing myself as I was planning on tracking it but seems that at minimum suspension mod is required ($10k+ "crying emoji")
4-5K AUD will get a good suspension setup. This car and track don’t go together in stock form.
@@Coyote350 $4-5k sounds pretty cheap. What do you think of the brakes - would they need an upgrade too or they fine for 10 minute session?
@@juraj_b 10 minutes sure. Not going into detail here but I can confirm that brakes are terrible.

If synchros are having issue, change the transmission fluid type. You want whatever GM and Ford put into their high power V8 car's manual transmission. BIG difference in performance and longevity

A bit of jokes but the score and my points are serious. I didn’t get a choice as I got the Proto edition. Rosewood would maybe be my favourite but I just haven’t seen it in person.
@@Coyote350 Yeah some of the videos online the colour grading is abismal. Reddit has some decent pics but you risk getting old man colour.
That wrap for the top roof is just terrible though - wonder how long it'll last in the aussie sun.
@@drunkntigr Nissan definitely cut lots of corners. Can’t blame them, there a poor company. I’m just glad we got one. It looks killer!
@@Coyote350 As long as the engine doesn't cark it I'm fine. Otherwise will just get an M2 but I'm over BMW warning tones, oil leaks and radiator leaks.

Wait so you don’t have a Sub in the rear?!
Not directly behind the driver. The sub is located in the boot. If you boost the bass frequencies to max on your EQ adjustment on Spotify, the system can actually pump some serious bass. Just standard listening without adjusting the audio on the phones end tho is very lack-lustre.
The sub is located where you would think the spare tire would be. Or at least I think that’s the sub…
