@@dianeharnishfeger4327 Hi Diane, the stitch count for Round 2 should be 40 sc and 40 ch-1 sps. I’m sorry you’re struggling with the stitch a bit, but take some breaks and hopefully with a little practice, it will get easier. Please let me know if you have any other questions! 😊
We're onto Potholder #3! I hope you guys enjoy this one. If you prefer to read patterns, you can find the free written pattern here: thispixiecreates.com/moss-stitch-potholder/. Happy crocheting! 🥰
I’m using the same yarn you are, except in the red & white stripes, and it looks significantly thinner than yours 😭 have you experienced this with this yarn?
Hi Sarah, I actually have this yarn in my stash, but unfortunately haven’t used it yet. If it’s a bit thinner and you notice that your stitches are looking “hole-y”, you can try going down a hook size or two until you’re happy with the look. Then chain a few extra chains in the starting chain, and follow the pattern as instructed. You’ll repeat Rnd 2 until you’re happy with the length of your potholder. 😊
Hi Susie, I just want to make sure that I understand your question. Are you asking about skipping a stitch in Rnd 2 and onward? If so, you'll insert your hook between the two single crochet stitches into the gap/space, going underneath the chain 1 that you made. If you think of a single crochet like a V, then you'll be going between the two V's: V | V. It's kind of hard to explain in words, so the best visual of this is at (7:32). If this doesn't answer your question, please let me know. Thank you!
I love this! I have not learned the moss stitch yet so I am really excited!
Really hope you enjoy it, Diane! It's one of my favourite stitches. 🥰
Wow, this is tougher than I thought! But I am determined to get it right and learn this stitch! Can you give me the stitch count for round 2, 8x8?

Love this, next on my hook
So glad you like it, Christena! 🥰
I think this is the stitch my BIL's deceased grandmother used for her potholders.

So when you skip a stitch do you go through both or just part of the V
