For those interested it was Zoot Money that first referred to Hendrix as looking like the 'Wildman from Borneo' to his wife..no malice in it as that had been a film from the 40's and he was saying that Hendrix looked like the character in it as he (Zoot) was shocked by Hendrix's appearance. The tag stuck and Hendrix apparently even tried to live up to it....Read Claptons autobiography before slating him and you will find how much Hendrix meant to him! ;)

To put this into a historical perspective, the youth of 1960's Britain who had their Dad's fight in WW2 and Granddad's fight in WW1 all of a sudden became entranced with American Black Blues music from The Mississippi Delta. It ignited the Rock N' Roll British Invasion. This band was Blues based and that is what you are hearing.
Someone commented that the one guy up dancing was a weirdo..I don't think so, I think he just knows the music is moving him and he knows how to have fun! I can't believe everyones not up dancing to this greatness!
This is why youtube needs to stop pulling videos. I would have never found this if BMG or whoever pulled it. This is meant to be heard, and enjoyed. I look here, then buy. Great tune.
This Song Is Awesome Ggreat Musical Writing By Eric Clapton and Ginger bakers Drum Fantastico, The harmonica Is Fantabulous, Music Is My Religion And This Song Is Very Spiritually Up Lifting Thank You Cream. It Has A Primal Feel.
I think this is one of the most extraordinary parts of history in the mid 20th century. The offspring of WW2 veterans and Grandsons and Granddaughters on WW1 veterans found the Black American Delta Blues. The world has never been the same and way better off because of it!
Absolutely wonderful. The three guys were such crafted musicians. My sister saw the Graham Bond Organisation at the Liverpool Empire in 1966, which had Jack and Ginger., Rod Stewart was also there to. I saw Jack in 1972, when l was coming down with glandular fever. Dragged myself out, there must have been 200 in the audience. Bob H
I may just buy a plane ticket to London, so I can see Clapton play live. That man can play a guitar. Love the harmonica too, this song may be what I need to motivate me to buy some.
These guys were Great in 1967 and now as Seasoned Players evan better. i think a tour would be fantastic. I watch my double set of DVD's of the 2005 gigs at least twice a month. 43Yrs of Cream and still as sweet and savory as ever. Mmmmm!
The thing i respect about these guys is they really took the time to study the history of the music they did.Jazz for Jack,Blues for Eric,African for Ginger and gave the credit where it was due....God bless Cream
Thanks for posting this vid. I was only around 10 when Cream was big, but in my teen years they were my favorite group. I think one of the things that made Cream so special was that in Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton, you had one of the greatest drummers, bassists/vocalists and guitarists of all time, respectively. Great instrumentals, great vocals, tons of raw power, blending blues and rock. Man, that trio had everything. Blind Faith was great, too, but Cream was no. 1.
electrified, blue eyed soul, tribute song to muddy waters....English rockers, were raised on this stuff...jack bruce was a master song writer, musician, and singer...rip..as for Clapton and baker..nothing else needs to be said
Wow is all i can say when i first heard this song on XM radio, and now i got to see this group here on youtube. And i'm just amazed that these 3 guys who were a band in the 60's and now here today. They play so good it almost seems that they never lost their touch. Gave me chills up my spine listening to the harmonica solo :)
There are many imitators, but only one original, and that's Cream. Others followed their formula, but Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, and Eric Clapton were the wizards who brewed up this magic potion of music. Strange brew indeed!
At the Albert, over 40 years since they first recorded this old blues tune, they're still top-notch musicians, super talented. Don't care what anybody says.
I was 17 it was 1962 and I was thumbing thru albums at a thriftys drug store. Saw three crazy looking guys on the cover of an album called Fresh Cream, read the back, It said Eric clapton jazz guitarist of 7 yrs. from England. Ginger baker jazz drummer. I said I have to check this out. Went home to my parents house, took a toke of some good Mexican weed layed down on the floor with my headset and crank it up. I think my head exploded that day.
This is amazing for this trio of, now, much older men, but the original Cream live recording of this has a kind of manic, primitive energy that makes your hair stand on end, especially when Jack and Eric are wailing without any words No doubt Muddy Waters had gotten ahold of some ancient African American ritual music that goes back many millennia into our collective subconscious. To me, this piece captures what Clapton heard in the blues, that became his life’s mission.
RIP Jack, RIP Ginger. Eric, may you live and play guitar forever!
I woke up this morning, and all I had was gone. That is the Blues, and Cream were the greatest Blues trio ever.
They will never be surpassed.

He's feelin' it man. Sometimes you just gotta go with it and let it take you where it will. That's the power of music.
Still creepy though.
Susan Reed that's the riff from robert johnson's riverside blues
Seems like a déjà vu!!!
woodstock audience?
