  • The 2013 Infiniti M35h gets 38% better fuel economy than the gas-only M37, yet costs only 12% more. Sounds great, says Cars.com reviewer Mike Hanley, but it's still going to take you a decidedly pokey eight years to realize any financial advantage from this luxury hybrid. Meanwhile, you'll contend with the sort of finicky, unrefined driving not uncommon among hybrids of a lesser pedigree. That said, the M35h gets going swiftly, rides comfortably and provides all of the interior amenities you'd expect for the price; watch the video and decide if it's enough to justify the delayed payback.

I love it when these pseudo journo's put out rubbish like this. "it will take 8 years to recoup the extra costs". Yeah if you buy a car this expensive and keep it forever. Of course for the 99% of people who don't there's something called resale - where hybrids traditionally kick the arse out of normal petrol cars. In two or three years this will be worth at least 30% more than the petrol equivalent.
Oh and that initial price - comparing base for base isn't really fair when the hybrid comes with a load more spec as standard. Bring the spec up on the V6 to match and there's only around $1000 in it.
With resale added in that means even if the hybrid cost more to fuel (it won't), it would still be cheaper to own spec for spec in the first place.

Now it's one of the most affordable, with high mpg, amazing power, excellent luxury, and an average of $12k for 80k miles. Unsure how relaible is in high miles though.

It's one of the "Infiniti" motors... not a Nissan. Infiniti brands always look like this because, of the creators. I think he/she likes the style more like this beecause, that's the type of car the creators likes. Sorry if my english is terrible... I'm typing from a tablet. :/
