I don't care how "unrefined" it is compared to the German calves; that sedan is unspeakably beautiful!! Every time I see one on the road or parked, I can't help but stare and gawk at it. Hope to own an MX or QX one day.
@@keronfarrier2198 Pls keron would you still recommend getting this car? I'm looking at this or the Lexus gs 350. What do you say about the transmission or any common issues to be mindful of. Thanks for your feedbacks
when the first time i got inside this car,i fell in love with it ! Somehow it got the essence of 50s-60s italian cars but also feels japanese at the same time, its just a perfect car,im gonna buy it when i grow up ! I just love it !
I saw this car in person and it was black as well on the road it is definitely a very beautiful car with a lot of presence. This car is just stunning especially from the front view.
Maybe I just lucked out then according to you. My 04 X5 3.0i has done 163K miles and it's still kicking. Bought it new out San Francisco's dealer and it still gets the job done. Also have an E60 5 series, bought it three and half years ago in SD and put 85K miles on it. I do a ton of driving. And so far, the only thing I replaced, were the rear tires. And I love the inline 6. Either way, we can argue all we want and insult each other's grandmothers but I bet you not every thinks Bimmers suck.
@CJRamze She always mentions the Golf. Even if she is testing a transatlantic ship, a bicycle or a tractor, she will say “It’s not as sharp mini" and "not as refined as golf" every time.
Saloon: Sedan Estate: Wagon Only took me about two episodes of Wheeler Dealers to catch that. Good review and although not available in Europe anymore I found a low mileage Q70L AWD.
This and Lexus are the best luxury cars out there with completely different styles. The LEXUS is the more mercedes like, Infiniti is more BMW like. Audi is just so boring
@farazl You have a point but remember that in the US market Infiniti has a larger variety of engines which the M & G class follow unlike in the UK market. The M37 is the only engine available in the UK hence the fact why it competes against bigger engines in the segment like the 535i instead of the 528i. Here in america we get the M37 with 330HP and the M56 with 420HP, that makes it the class leading sedan in this segment. And yes your correct, the 328i competes with the G25 sedan not the G37
@farazl you are totally forgetting to mention that the 335i has twin turbos and more torque. Infiniti has never needed forced induction to provide good acceleration while BMW relies on it. Sure the car may perform better, But only if its not broken. Ill take reliability and 1mph slower in the 1/4 mile over being broken on the side of the road any day.
THE M LOOKS AND PERFORMS BETTER THAN THE TWO SHE MENTIONED...MORE TECH FOR THE PRICE. I WILL GO WITH THE INFINITI...GUESS BECAUSE IT'S AN AMERICAN CAR LOL...
Once again, you fail to understand that the 330d is a lot smaller and lighter than the M37. G37 sedan with this same engine is a flat 5.0 second car, and it's STILL bigger than the 3-series!
another thing is that its a 3.7 liter, not a 3.6, obviously. and the forest air system isn't scented, it just recirculates the air to simulate a breeze
according to these german videos when they view a car that isn't german its never good. 28 mpg isnt thirsty. this is a 3.7 not a 3.6. This m performs better then both of "best german" cars. to much over praise.
This thing has a WAY nicer interior than both the 5 series and most defanatly the E-Class. But the 5 series is nicer to drive, as stated in the film. I wouldn't mind having one though.
The only and I mean ONLY reason I would pick a 535i over this is the choice of a manual transmission. On every other level, the infiniti has the BMW beat
Most if not all mainstream automotive manufacturers will share platforms between their models, which is the basis of their similarity. That is not an excuse to be alike due to the price difference but if you were to get into an Avalon and then a LS 460HL you would see a day and night difference.
from what i've read, the M drives better than the new 5 series, the new 5 series is based on a shortened version of the 7 series platform meaning it doesn't handle nearly as well.
In Los Angeles I never see this car. I have the Q50s which is quicker and handles better. This car really needs to have a V8 or a really torgue V6 bi-turbo to compete.
There's the imperial gl. and the US gl. so 28 UK mpg = 23.3 US mpg. Which is close to what the combined EPA rating of 21 mpg, but who knows the differences in testing.
@Sandok13 it's neither anymore thirsty or anymore bulbous than an M5 or E63. In fact it's damn near exactly the same size. It may weigh a little more but makes more power and still gets no worse economy than an E63, while the M5 gets worse mileage. Build quality is no worse either, I've sat in the E class and base CTS before, the CTS'S panel gaps were smaller, and given they both stay mostly the same on the AMG annd V its probably true for those too.
She always mentions the Golf. Even if she is testing a transatlantic ship, a bicycle or a tractor, she will say “It’s not as sharp as the Mini" and "not as refined as the Golf" every time.
It's a diesel it needs a TURBO non turbo diesels are slow and boring turbo diesel's "some" are incredibly fun to drive for a derv the 330d for example is well handled and the torque when re-mapped is close to 400lb-ft that's insane pulling power for a 3.0 straight 6 they pull right to the 155mph limiter the bmw 535d has 270bhp and it's 0-60 is still only 5.9 seconds you don't realise how quick a 330d e46 is in my opinion they are a wonderful machine to drive esp in manual :)

I've already had a 2002 bmw 330d m sport 5 speed manual XLZ 5849 re-mapped to 235bhp 370lb-ft torque and i just bought a 2012 seat leon but you're right in my dreams i could afford a bmw 535d LOL the only reason i wouldn't want a 535d is because they're all automatic i'd rather have a e60 530d 231bhp and re-map it upto 280bhp 0-60 5.9 and 155 top speed of my old 330d
@heartboy86 I can automatically name industry first innovations on other manufacturers, that doesn't make Cadillac the class leader. Infiniti was the first to have a rear view camera, lane departure prevention, rear sunshade, forest air ventilation system, fastest luxury hybrid , laser guided cruise control. Lexus was the first to parallel self parking system, first to offer a full size hybrid V-8 etc BMW was the first for this Mercedes was the first for that.... blah blah blah
@Johncarson9113 that is so true i was planning on buying a BMW or Benz but didn't because i know it would cost a lot to fix.I am driving a Acura since 2002 and besides 1 rear light bulb needs replacing(under warranty)there has been no problem at all.I am a mailman and one of my customers bought a brand new BMW 3 sedan and less than a month later he had his car towed to the shop, that's pathetic.right besides the price of the car, there should be estimated repair cost yearly.

@Johncarson9113 Either way cars aren't supposed to last forever. Eventually a car will break down no matter what brand, you just hope later rather than sooner.
@Johncarson9113..yeah usually a car with the 100 more HP would be faster! You should compare the 335i and the G37 as Infiniti and BMW both do- Even with 28 less HP, it is faster at every acceleration test plus the midrange acceleration is simply mindblowing. You pay more money for BMW because their cars perform better than only looking at their numbers would explain. I have a 2000 740i Sport and a 2005 545i. The 545i is a great car but the 740i, even though a little slower, illustrates
@dankebuddha I didn't mean the 'ring. I meant the road test between it and the CTS-V the M5 was off by .3 of a second. One of the longer tracks that I've seen with a lot of straight aways. Anyways, I know it's the fastest around the 'Ring.
@Johncarson9113 the point best. The car has 282 HP but outaccelerates all S class, Audi A8's, Lexus, Infinitis even thru the mid 2000's and even when all these cars were putting out about 320-340 HP. BMW claims 0 to 60 in 6.7 seconds while car magazines kept getting 5.9 to 6 seconds. And that is not even its core competency- that would be its M car like handling and braking which only the very latest of the Infinitis and Audis are beginning to match or exceed.
@Mr330d Infiniti hybrid's rubbish? If this is true then why are companies trying to sign off contracts with Nissan/Infiniti. The M35h is the fastest hybrid in the world not to mention Infiniti is now partners with Mercedes Benz. Both companies intend to swap technology, Infiniti will be using AMG based engines for their new IPL line up and Mercedes will be using some of Infiniti's hybrid/Electric technology. The M37 does 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and btw BMW is also coming out with a 5 series hybrid
Not as biased as the other European reviews ive seen! I beg to differ about it being less competitive than the bimmer and the merc. Aslo there is a M56! which is much faster than the M37... Which stands for 3.7Liter.. not 3.6 vicki!
@JimmyChannel1 I know that this car is a Nissan, I was replying to a post about a mustang and a Cadillac. I said I would rather have a BMW M3 instead of the M5. Then @dankebuddha asserted that those two cars are faster. Then I said they may be faster, but American cars can not corner.
what can best it ,Reliability best ,crash safety testing best, power best, technology best, those steeped brands like BMW and Mercedes are not reliable they are more a liability compared to this.
@kyleport101 nothing biased in fact infitni and caddy are two of my favorite car brands and dont take this the wrong way but please know what you are talking about before you reply to my comments, its kind of wasting the little time i have......
@heartboy86 The BMW 5 series is still a great car only it isn't the best anymore. However in case you didn't know the 5 series does not compete against the G37 sedan so your comparisons are irrelevant. The BMW 535i competes "head to head" with the Infiniti M37 sedan while the G37 competes with the BMW 3 series. As for cadillac...... yeah I guess they are a reliable affordable luxury brand but you cant really compare the prestige factor of a BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti & Mercedes with a Cadillac.
@kyleport101 lets see dumbshit i could be wrong, sike they were the first at first wrap-around windshield, the first signal-seeking automotive radio, and the Autronic Eye - the first automatic headlight dimmer. Other innovations were leather upholstery and chrome wire wheels. first automatic climate control system: Comfort Control; Cadillac debuted an industry-first "Twilight Sentinel" system which automatically turned the headlights off and/or on at dusk/sunrise.
I don't care how "unrefined" it is compared to the German calves; that sedan is unspeakably beautiful!! Every time I see one on the road or parked, I can't help but stare and gawk at it. Hope to own an MX or QX one day.

3.7 V6, the M37 says it all
It’s better than the 5 series and E class in power, performance and price.
You missed one key factor, for which I chose the M over E and 5: stellar durability/reliability.

did you see the infiniti g37 vs bmw 3 on youtube. The bmw 3 can't handle the course and the engine broke down.
She compared the car with a vw golf?
I just LOVE how she said " gutsy engine" lol

How did you get 28mpg? It gets 17 around town, 23 on the motorway.
Sounds about right, mine has averaged 19.6mpg over the last year, then again I am a bit heavy on the throttle😂
3.6?
this car is very beautiful
"Saloon." Love that descriptor.
Dear FIFTH GEAR,
Could Jason or Tiff (or Vic) please, please run a comprehensive test on the G37 S Coupé???

You are obviously from the us...
In europe petrol is expensive so 10 l/100km is very thristy for average people
did she just say this car is "quicker than a golf tdi"? thats some valuable information for cross shopping
doesn't the UK get the V8?
I hope to buy one tomorrow! God please
I'd take this over the V6 bimmer or merc any day. The Lexus however...
Nissan FUGA👍️
Mitsubishi Proudia 🤔
@dankebuddha Go seach specs for M37. Its a 3.7 liter engine..

there is also M56S if u wanna talk about POWER

The BMW 535i competes "head to head" with the Infiniti M37 sedan while the G37 competes with the BMW 3 series. As for cadillac...... yeah I guess they are a reliable affordable luxury brand but you cant really compare the prestige factor of a BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti & Mercedes with a Cadillac.
@kyleport101 lets see dumbshit i could be wrong, sike
they were the first at
