I do agree that the next game will most likely be European based, but i think your location picks are wrong it would make the most sense to go to Germany with the car company's from there and the racing history to back it. Plus, they just made a new German Twitter account, which is the same thing they did for Mexico, except it was in Spanish.

@tayjc0 Man, I've seen people do it since FH2 came out. As for my totally totally totally not mischievous take, I just find it fun when people make it seem like the world is going to end just because a game isn't set in their weeb paradise of JDM. I wouldn't mind a game in Japan, but it also isn't a location I genuinely desire, hence my enjoyment of people crying about it is greater than actually getting the location.

If they do go to Canada, I think Calgary would be a nice location, you get to drive to the rocky mountains and Banff National Park as well as Drumheller and the badlands. Also Calgary has the Stampede, so maybe they can reimagine it as a Horizon festival with cowboys and cars.
I’ve been desperate for them to give us Germany-Switzerland for years now. Driving through the Black Forest l, going flat out on the autobahn, thrn around a horizon version of the nordschleife, before driving up into the alps for those twisty touge style roads and down into that alpine valley with the plane landing strip that all the HyperCars do drag pulls on. That was a dream for me, and it probably won’t be that cool, but if they do the German-Swiss alps I’d be so pleased. Slight problem is that ac evo has stolen some of the thunder of an open world in Germany because they’ve got the norfschleife and the surrounding area mapped out as an open world.

Based on what you said, in combination with Microsoft wanting to expand into the Chinese market, i feel very strongly it will probably be somewhere in China. Im sure the city you mentioned will be included, but given thr Rally expansion (assuming its a preview of Chinese country roads) and Xbox taking advantage of new hardware, id imagine this will include a pretty big chunk of territory.
No triple A title has taken on Japan. Home of so much car influence and inspiration. The fact they havnt done Japan yet blows my mind. Also, with asseto corsa new release being around the Nurburgring, choosing Germany would be practically a waste. If they want to appeal to car enthusiasts and car culture they should probably pick somewhere that car enthusiasts care about.
Asseto Corsa releasing their map in Germany would not deter people from playing the game, there’s so many players that only play car games cuz of Forza and the wouldn’t switch to any other car game. But for ur point as a car fan base it is a waste, i would just say it’s more of a waste to asseto cuz more people will be playing Forza.

Canada would be cool we have the weather mountains all the good parts of what each expansion from horizon has given us and they could use small towns like st.albert, canmore, red deer, black diamond, Kelowna, anywhere in saskatoon. unfortunately i don't see forza would ever go to Canada we just dont have the car culter for it but teaming up with shows like driven Canada which almost goes to west Edmonton mall as its hosting location would be cool

Since Horizon [hopefully] started exploring cultures and places beyond the "politically western world" (UK, France, Australia...) in the last game, I'd like to see the next game set somewhere like Japan, Egypt or even my home country, Brazil.
Horizon South America would be insane just imagine having the amazon forest in the middle, the andes mountain range on one side, crazy beaches on the other, Colombia's 3 mountain ranges and the cold stuff around Argentina/Chile (and add Panama as an impenetrable border lol, iykyk) that could possibly be better than Japan

I have a feeling were coming back to the U.S. if we're following festival themes. my guess is either New Orleans, Louisiana (Lifted Truck/mud bog oriented + MardiGras) Portland, Oregon (Sports/Supercars and an intergrated Raceway + Rose and waterfront festivals) Or hell, even a Horizon Chicago would be epic for Lollapalooza (Plus Street scene, economy car expansions, MASSIVE Muscle car history.) Not to mention, every state mentioned has Notorious highways, Beach/Lake access, and plenty of terrain types from all parts of each individual state capable of making its own smaller map
I personally think it'll either be somewhere in Asia or somewhere in Africa if not there then maybe South Europe like Italy or Maybe South East Europe like Romania or Greece or something.
I think California would be the best because of the variety there is, we have sand dunes and snows up in the north and big cities and old cities, California would bring so much content and they can put a big highway to connect the cities which would make highway pulls more fun

imo, if japan isn't everyone's cup of tea, there's always Busan, south korea. it has a modern city, like FH3 it has a colorful village-like municipality, like fh5 and its in east asia, which PGG hasn't done yet, along with south america and africa (i want to say Scandinavia but that's part of the EU (FH2)), etc. and can someone PLEASE choose another city in Japan that isn't Tokyo? at least sapporo-shi, which is basically a less dense tokyo.
I’m on-board with everything except the Edmonton suggestion. If they’re going to North America again, make it the state of Michigan or don’t bother. Tons of fringe festivals around the state, Detroit-metro being an epicenter for the auto industry, the upper peninsula for (well known) rally events. Plus the Canadian connection that could have us going between the US and Ontario.
Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Finland & Denmark) would be my pick. Four seasons, varied car culture, many F1 and Rally world champions, distinctive and respected manufacturers, decent music, no deserts. Iceland could be the DLC.
Not a bad theory, fringe as a word is close to edge, which is close to horizon. Personally I think the more accurate theory is xbox looking at their growing markets and putting the next game in the location. Aside from FH1 which was more of just a test to see if the game would work as an idea, the rest have all followed that pattern. If you look at the most growing market for xbox, it's Japan. Yes, I'm on massive hopium, but it's what people have been asking for since like fh3.
You do know that Japan is a Non Starter because of its Licensing Legislation Right? pretty much Everything is Privately Owned, and most of the Owners are Hostile to the West and will not License, heck, you cannot even take a Photograph in Japan without a Government Permit as Japan has no "Fair use" Clause, and those Permits are near Impossible for Western Companies to get! it is why Tokyo Drift was actually filmed in Los Angeles! the Japanese Government Refused to Grant Permission for the Film to be Shot in Japan!

For everyone saying Japan or Tokyo. Just know it's most likely never gonna happen. Japanese laws make it basically impossible to get the permissions and permits to use real locations. They dont have fair use laws. From what I've read, it's actually hard to even take photos in Japan due to the lack of fair use laws. Without, i believe a government obtained a license. It's just way too hard to make a game set there. The only real work around i could think of would be a completely fake and made-up environment that resembles japan (which would take the whole point away), and even then, they would still have a hard time doing it.
how would that take the whole point away when that's exactly what playground games does.....there's barely any real locations in these games. they are mostly made up based on the real location.....look at fh3......

My theory is FH1 and FH2 are places where the trafic drives in the right side, FH3 and FH4 you drive on the left side. So in FH5 you should drive on the right side, if you go by that pattern. And you actually do, so FH6 would be a place where you drive on the right side also. Thats why I said no way it's south Africa or like other theories in Japan because of the pattern
Edmonton would go hard for a festival. Mountains and ocean to the west, and heartland and prairies to the east with beautiful city’s. Alberta has a crazy music scene too. Definitely think Canada festival for horizon in Alberta would be a good pick.
I'd be fine with China, the amount of landscape variety and insane geography there would give us some amazing driving roads. But I'd love some more interesting countries as well to be honest, Iceland/Norway for something different with season bringing snow back and in summer you have the midnight sun not to mention the stunning landscapes., or maybe even an East European country for once, possibly Romania for the Transfgarasan road and the pretty big variety of biomes

You know, that Theory makes a *Lot* of Sense, you could be onto Something with this one! IIRC, FH1 was Inspired by Coachella, which is a pretty big name on the Festival Scene. On the Picks: I Say now that if it is China, I am *out* for that Game, I will forget the Game even Exists, I will not even Gamepass it, Christian Persecution in China is some of the most Violent and Brutal seen since the Terrible Days of Caesar Diocletian! so it is beyond Repulsive to me to set a Game in China, so, on Conscience Grounds, I will Not be Playing FH6 if it is China. Canada would indeed be Interesting, but, it is Far too Similar to the United States in many ways, and Playground do not really want to do "Generic" Locations, they have said as much on Livestream, also, with Continental Rotation, it is indeed not likely that Playground will do two Games in a Row on the Same Continent. South Africa is my Pick of the Three, it is Completely Unique as I cannot think of any Open World Game set in South Africa, the Scenery is Gorgeous, Especially around Cape Town (the Big Modern City/Surfers Paradise Successor that Players want!) and the Southern Cape (which I suggest as the Setting as it is also the Safest part of the Country and the most Plausible for Horizon as a Result) and the sheer Variety of Fauna and Flora knocks even Australia Sideways! it would be a fantastic Setting, and a Unique Car Culture as well with the "South African Motorsport Specials" such as the Chevrolet Firenza Can Am (a little Vauxhalll Magnum with the Engine from a 1969 Camaro Z/28!), Ford Capri Perena (a MK1 Capri with the MK2 Square Lights and the 1969 Spec Mustang Boss 302 Motor!), Ford Cortina XR6 Interceptor (a Cortina Crusader with a 3 Liter Capri "S" Essex V6 Engine!) and Ford Sierra XR8 (a Sierra XR4i but with the 5 Liter V8 from a Police Spec Foxbody Mustang SSP!), the BMW Alpina M333i (an RHD E30 "M3" with a 3.3 Liter Straight Six built especially by Alpina for the Car), the *Actual* "Original M5" that is the South Africa only E12 Generation "M535i" (which the South African Police Adored!) the 3 Liter Version of the Alfa Romeo GTV-6, etc., It would work Brilliantly! However.... it would also put FH6 toe to toe against Assetto Corsa EVO and I just do not think Horizon would be able to Compete against a Game like that, so doing Germany at the Same time as AC EVO would be a very bad Idea Indeed IMO! South Africa around the Southern Cape and Cape Town would be Perfect IMO!

People are betting in Japan or Germany. Honestly I prefer Japan due to the beautiful environments, Drift and JDM Tuning Culture, but PGG decides in the end.
I don’t think it will be the next one, but I think eventually they should do Detroit, Michigan, well… for obvious reasons. It is the hub for everything cars and I think driving around a big city like Detroit would be somewhat new and exiting. They could even have a tiny bit go into Canada, because as you may know, it is very close to Canada. I think that would be a great idea for Forza, but again, I don’t think it will be there in Horizon 6, just because it would be 2 in a row for North America and like you said, I just don’t think they would do that.

If you say you want a Horizon JP, considering that T10 recycles everything from Horizon MX, it won't work at least Tokyo itself, it would be Hakone or Okinawa. The other is that they copy the homework made by Nacon (TDU:SC and just the map design) and do a Horizon HK

@ FH6 is going to have Series S as its base Hardware, so although it, indeed, would still be unable to handle Tokyo as the LOD bias is too High at 4K, it could, however, handle Cape Town.
@ The current Engine (Forzatech M3) used in FH5 is absolutely Ancient, the Original Code dates back to 2011 and FM4, while the M3 Build Dates back to FM6/FH3, there is only so much they can do with such an old Engine and it is also really holding them back. However, Given that the New F-Tech Engine has proven absolutely Broken in Both FM23 and FS24, I hope they do not use it for FH6, Forza is in a bad way and FH6 is going to be make or break for the Series so it Cannot afford to have a Broken Engine. They could do worse than use the M5 Build (Fable) of the Current Engine, it is Ancient (again, the Core Code is Vinted 2011!), but, being based on the M4 Build from FM7/FH4, it is still a well optimised and Stable Engine that should work well with the Limitations Present on the Series S.
What are you talking about? Playground have openly *Confirmed* that FH6 is in Development on one of their Live Streams, however, they also Stated that it is Still a Long way Off as they are Rebooting the Series to undo the Damage that FH4/5 have done to it.

Canada would be cool we have the weather mountains all the good parts of what each expansion from horizon has given us and they could use small towns like st.albert, canmore, red deer, black diamond, Kelowna, anywhere in saskatoon. unfortunately i don't see forza would ever go to Canada we just dont have the car culter for it but teaming up with shows like driven Canada which almost goes to west Edmonton mall as its hosting location would be cool

Since Horizon [hopefully] started exploring cultures and places beyond the "politically western world" (UK, France, Australia...) in the last game, I'd like to see the next game set somewhere like Japan, Egypt or even my home country, Brazil.

I think California would be the best because of the variety there is, we have sand dunes and snows up in the north and big cities and old cities, California would bring so much content and they can put a big highway to connect the cities which would make highway pulls more fun
Playground have openly Said more than once that they do not want to do California as it has been done to death by Rival Open World Racing Games and it has become too Generic for them.

I’m on-board with everything except the Edmonton suggestion. If they’re going to North America again, make it the state of Michigan or don’t bother. Tons of fringe festivals around the state, Detroit-metro being an epicenter for the auto industry, the upper peninsula for (well known) rally events. Plus the Canadian connection that could have us going between the US and Ontario.

Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Finland & Denmark) would be my pick. Four seasons, varied car culture, many F1 and Rally world champions, distinctive and respected manufacturers, decent music, no deserts. Iceland could be the DLC.

Not a bad theory, fringe as a word is close to edge, which is close to horizon. Personally I think the more accurate theory is xbox looking at their growing markets and putting the next game in the location. Aside from FH1 which was more of just a test to see if the game would work as an idea, the rest have all followed that pattern. If you look at the most growing market for xbox, it's Japan. Yes, I'm on massive hopium, but it's what people have been asking for since like fh3.

You do know that Japan is a Non Starter because of its Licensing Legislation Right? pretty much Everything is Privately Owned, and most of the Owners are Hostile to the West and will not License, heck, you cannot even take a Photograph in Japan without a Government Permit as Japan has no "Fair use" Clause, and those Permits are near Impossible for Western Companies to get! it is why Tokyo Drift was actually filmed in Los Angeles! the Japanese Government Refused to Grant Permission for the Film to be Shot in Japan!

For everyone saying Japan or Tokyo. Just know it's most likely never gonna happen. Japanese laws make it basically impossible to get the permissions and permits to use real locations. They dont have fair use laws. From what I've read, it's actually hard to even take photos in Japan due to the lack of fair use laws. Without, i believe a government obtained a license. It's just way too hard to make a game set there. The only real work around i could think of would be a completely fake and made-up environment that resembles japan (which would take the whole point away), and even then, they would still have a hard time doing it.

My theory is FH1 and FH2 are places where the trafic drives in the right side, FH3 and FH4 you drive on the left side. So in FH5 you should drive on the right side, if you go by that pattern. And you actually do, so FH6 would be a place where you drive on the right side also. Thats why I said no way it's south Africa or like other theories in Japan because of the pattern

Alberta has a crazy music scene too. Definitely think Canada festival for horizon in Alberta would be a good pick.
I'd be fine with China, the amount of landscape variety and insane geography there would give us some amazing driving roads.
But I'd love some more interesting countries as well to be honest, Iceland/Norway for something different with season bringing snow back and in summer you have the midnight sun not to mention the stunning landscapes., or maybe even an East European country for once, possibly Romania for the Transfgarasan road and the pretty big variety of biomes

IIRC, FH1 was Inspired by Coachella, which is a pretty big name on the Festival Scene.

I Say now that if it is China, I am *out* for that Game, I will forget the Game even Exists, I will not even Gamepass it, Christian Persecution in China is some of the most Violent and Brutal seen since the Terrible Days of Caesar Diocletian! so it is beyond Repulsive to me to set a Game in China, so, on Conscience Grounds, I will Not be Playing FH6 if it is China.
Canada would indeed be Interesting, but, it is Far too Similar to the United States in many ways, and Playground do not really want to do "Generic" Locations, they have said as much on Livestream, also, with Continental Rotation, it is indeed not likely that Playground will do two Games in a Row on the Same Continent.
South Africa is my Pick of the Three, it is Completely Unique as I cannot think of any Open World Game set in South Africa, the Scenery is Gorgeous, Especially around Cape Town (the Big Modern City/Surfers Paradise Successor that Players want!) and the Southern Cape (which I suggest as the Setting as it is also the Safest part of the Country and the most Plausible for Horizon as a Result) and the sheer Variety of Fauna and Flora knocks even Australia Sideways! it would be a fantastic Setting, and a Unique Car Culture as well with the "South African Motorsport Specials" such as the Chevrolet Firenza Can Am (a little Vauxhalll Magnum with the Engine from a 1969 Camaro Z/28!), Ford Capri Perena (a MK1 Capri with the MK2 Square Lights and the 1969 Spec Mustang Boss 302 Motor!), Ford Cortina XR6 Interceptor (a Cortina Crusader with a 3 Liter Capri "S" Essex V6 Engine!) and Ford Sierra XR8 (a Sierra XR4i but with the 5 Liter V8 from a Police Spec Foxbody Mustang SSP!), the BMW Alpina M333i (an RHD E30 "M3" with a 3.3 Liter Straight Six built especially by Alpina for the Car), the *Actual* "Original M5" that is the South Africa only E12 Generation "M535i" (which the South African Police Adored!) the 3 Liter Version of the Alfa Romeo GTV-6, etc., It would work Brilliantly!
There are also some very Strong Rumors that Playground have been seen doing a lot of Photogrammetry in Germany recently, this suggests that FH6 could be set in Germany! now, although Germany would be a very good Location for Horizon, it is where the Car was Invented, One look at CarFreitag will show that the German Car Culture is *very* Similar to the Horizon Car Culture, they Love a Music Festival, the Scenery is Incredible, it has great Roads... and it is very Seasonal... However.... it would also put FH6 toe to toe against Assetto Corsa EVO and I just do not think Horizon would be able to Compete against a Game like that, so doing Germany at the Same time as AC EVO would be a very bad Idea Indeed IMO!

People are betting in Japan or Germany. Honestly I prefer Japan due to the beautiful environments, Drift and JDM Tuning Culture, but PGG decides in the end.
I don’t think it will be the next one, but I think eventually they should do Detroit, Michigan, well… for obvious reasons. It is the hub for everything cars and I think driving around a big city like Detroit would be somewhat new and exiting. They could even have a tiny bit go into Canada, because as you may know, it is very close to Canada. I think that would be a great idea for Forza, but again, I don’t think it will be there in Horizon 6, just because it would be 2 in a row for North America and like you said, I just don’t think they would do that.

Ngl if i could choose i would fr pick like new York city bc the highways could be amazing and the city would be great too, then they could add parts of Maine and make mountains with lots of twists and turns, then add country for straight lines as well, basically everything because offroad would have a good amount too. If you say you want a Horizon JP, considering that T10 recycles everything from Horizon MX, it won't work at least Tokyo itself, it would be Hakone or Okinawa. The other is that they copy the homework made by Nacon (TDU:SC and just the map design) and do a Horizon HK

@ FH6 is going to have Series S as its base Hardware, so although it, indeed, would still be unable to handle Tokyo as the LOD bias is too High at 4K, it could, however, handle Cape Town.

@ The current Engine (Forzatech M3) used in FH5 is absolutely Ancient, the Original Code dates back to 2011 and FM4, while the M3 Build Dates back to FM6/FH3, there is only so much they can do with such an old Engine and it is also really holding them back.
However, Given that the New F-Tech Engine has proven absolutely Broken in Both FM23 and FS24, I hope they do not use it for FH6, Forza is in a bad way and FH6 is going to be make or break for the Series so it Cannot afford to have a Broken Engine.
They could do worse than use the M5 Build (Fable) of the Current Engine, it is Ancient (again, the Core Code is Vinted 2011!), but, being based on the M4 Build from FM7/FH4, it is still a well optimised and Stable Engine that should work well with the Limitations Present on the Series S.

What are you talking about? Playground have openly *Confirmed* that FH6 is in Development on one of their Live Streams, however, they also Stated that it is Still a Long way Off as they are Rebooting the Series to undo the Damage that FH4/5 have done to it.
