Thank you for posting this going to give it a try, I have a 86 Nissan D21 and it’s impossible to even get a new pressure regulator for this truck they discontinued making them, only option is generic after market adjustable one not sure if even legal in California

Pretty cool I love these little ingenuity hookups.. suggest using a silicone base instead of just WD..👍👍👍 and yep below 30 and above 60 supposedly is bad I guess between 30 and 45 PSI you're good

Hey boss, just came across this today, having the same issue. How well did this fix hold up? I am planning on trying this.

It’s been good ever since. The car had sat for 10 years before I bought it so the spring/diaphragm in there was stuck.

@@njs461 Nice. I'll have to try it. I'm not sure if mine is necessarily stuck, it just doesn't hold pressure after key off. I can put compressed air on the regulator when running and it raises the pressure a bit. Was yours still closing in a similar manner when you were figuring this out?

Auto parts store wants $134 for fuel pressure regulator, gonna blast mine with carb cleaner and blow my air compressor through it 😂

how did the carb cleaner work for you?

@@JuanSanchez-ik7wx I check all my wiring and voltage to the pump, everyone kept telling me if the fuel pump worked that wasn't my issue, but it was working just putting out low pressure

@@trashman1694 Turns out that the fp regulator had a totally stuck diaphram. I soaked it in CR56, Brake cleaner and engine oil. I was able to get partial operation back again. I will take it off again and put on a replacement.

@@JuanSanchez-ik7wx Nice at least you figured out that was the issue before you just threw parts at it. Ya I sprayed mine with brake cleaner and pb blaster lol

@@trashman1694 whatever gave that idea. This was basically the last thing i threw at it. Ive been changing parts for a year.
