My pressure is leaking at a medium pace. Besides checking spark plugs.........how can I test if its flowing back into the tank or a leaking fuel injector?
You can remove the fuel rail with all injectors and hoses still attached if you're able to and turn on the fuel pump and look for any injectors leaking
As far as it goes for the fuel pump itself, it would be safe to assume if your injectors are not leaking and you're having a hard time with the vehicle starting first thing in the morning is probably the fuel pump
So what about if pressure is steady, but low? Filter has been replaced. I am supposed to see 38 w/ vacuum and 47 without. I get 21 with and 30 without. But it's rock-steady. Need to test if it drops under WOT jolts though
Excellent, the only vid I can find testing pressure from the Schraeder fitting. I've found the said fitting but cant find an appropriate hose/connector. Your link doesn't work, and all the other kits don't have a fitting for the S fitting!! My engine starts well but fades out in seconds so presumably wiring is ok. Changed filter. Removed pump and while waiting for new one to come am practising putting it back in. But I would LOVE to test pressure before touching new pump. Another link maybe? Thank you again for the excellent vido!
Also, my regulator is in the pump assembly but that is already out so can I test it? Since I've ordered the pump with basic carriage it doesn't have the lid with the regulator on it. Looks permanently fixed in there and I can't find it on autodoc so it may mean sending the bit I've bought back and ordering a whole bigger doodad -- but I'll only know this IF I can test it. Thanks for reading!
@@backyardchevy328could this also cause pressure issue my 98 camaro z28 takes a few cranks to start it feels good but once it warms up it idles rough and i cannot rev it sounds like it will bog out and back fire thru the intake sometimes
I have a 2011 Avalanche LS 5.3, my fuel pressure gauge starts at 53psi the drops to 42 psi, I have replaced fuel pump, both knock sensors, map sensor, maf sensor, spark plugs, Catalytic converter is good, the strange thing is I do not get any codes. I am exhausted with trying to correct this issue with poor accelation, it started now a mont
Fuel pressure turn key - 0 psi Fuel pressure running - 48 psi pressure Fuel pressure drops to 0 when I turn off the vehicle Anybody else have this problem
Great video. I like how direct and informative it is. Also that you cover many possible problems and where to keep looking downstrem for the problem.
Great vid ..... narrating instead of working at the same time makes a better instruction vid
Good clear instructions. I have a D21 with a KA24E in it. I believe the psis are a bit lower, but the diagnostic points will be the same.
Thank you Sir for getting right to the point no extra blah blah bullshit. Thanks
Thank you🙂

His link works fine; it's your computer.
Thank you so much, very helpful 😊 ☺️
Excellent video sir, thank you
Great 👍 👌 👍 👌 👍 👌 and thanks 😊 👍 🙏 😀 👌 😊
What if i move the key foward once, car off and psi doesnt move at all?? I crank it and it does movie to like 55 or so

Thanks for reading!
Thought you had to bleed out the extra fuel of that s grader valve before hooking it up
mine chevy colorado have zero fuel pressure ,seems like bad fuel pump! or what do you think ?
Hey I did the test my the gauge didn’t even read it stayed at 0
😅
Need a new tester lol
Fuel pump?
what is that silver filter looking thing on fuel rail.
thats the fuel pulsation damper, its absorbs any fuel pressure pulsation going into the fuel rail

Good stuff
Thanks for the info, its good stuff.

Do you have a vacuum leak or exhaust leak? that could cause the problem as well.
You might be loosing ground voltage to the fuel pump
very helpful. thanks.
Thank you so Much Brother
Best Video
Thanks
Thank you🙂
question i have same car and im going thru same issue.. i replaced the fuel pump but i need to replace the regulator his can i go about it??
Did u just replace the fuel pump and not the assembly? Because the fuel pressure regulator is part of the fuel pump module assembly
Good info, good job man
Thank you🙂 i really appreciate it
Nice job!
Thank you🙂
thank you sir very informational
Thank you🙂
Superb sir.steve from the uk
Thank you🙂
Thanks for the video man 👍🏻
