- The Election Commission of India has proposed a new voting system for domestic migrants. Under this, people need not travel to their home State or district to cast their votes. It will be done through the remote electronic voting machines or RVMs.
The Election Commission will demonstrate an RVM prototype to political parties on January 16th, 2023

Remote voting should be ballot papers based. Previously , all ballot papers were collected at one place and counted. So there was no booth/machine level data was available. Unlike today, agents get exact number of how many votes are casted at eatch booth due to evms .
Making it electronic shall make it very easy for the agents to guess who's voting whom.
For example if a boy/girl from Bihar is posted in Assam, and there's no other person form his constituency is present in his/her remote voting centre, then this is as good as making your vote public

Some people saying that evm hatao desh bachao i want to say them that evm make our work easier not because of fast voting but also it also in nobody hands if we compare with old models election system so there is high level chances of cheating in election
If remote voting machines are safe, then all citizens should be allowed to vote from their homes. This may result in nearly 100% voting.
Migrants have to visit a booth built near their location to do voting and not at home.
here, just now i was bothered about the current area instructor saying like you have to go native for to vote.... Because in our area list still not yet updated and you have to wait for the coming year rights to vote.. 😂😅🤣
Seriously, The moment i laughed... why should i have my native to spend my rights i strongly believe it's my rights my choice to vote anyone with my own party wise am i right?
See logic is clear, If I go to native also i am voting for the same party symbol..if the current area is also the same party symbol. Then what is the major difference is going to stop me from this system? I still didn't clear from the ELection Commission ..🙏🏼

Because of our system error/failure.. last year i went on poll day to booth with physical voter ID card at that time they could have recorded and updated my data means would be appreciated for today's resolution.👍🏻

Fyi.. i have a voter ID card, and in cvigil also i have enrolled in it a week ago..!
But just our area instructor is saying you have to visit your native because it is showing concern BLO i said i will not go because of the long journey.. so i was disappointed 😔

Now the manipulation of votes will be on all India basis instead of a particular constituency. It is a very dangerous element in a democracy. As long as the votes in EVMs are not tallied physically with the voting slips printed by VVPATS in 100% cases, it is difficult to accept the credibility of EVMs in conducting fair elections in India.

Therefore, the entire delegation of BJP under the leadership of L K Advani went to ECI to lodge a complaint on the credibility of EVM. In fact, GVL Narasimha Rao of BJP wrote a book on the malfunctioning of EVMs.
If ECI wants to use EVMs in the place of ballot paper, it should ensure that the VVPAT slips should be examined by the voters before dropping them into special boxes for counting later. A few hours more spent on the counting of these slips doesn't matter when the democracy is at stake for five years.

When we have spent a few crores of rupees on acquiring VVPATs, they are not mere showpieces and they need to be put to use. There is no harm in counting slips of all VVPATs. As per the People's Representation Act, VVPATs carry more weightage than EVMs. Their slips are required to be preserved for atleast an year after the election results are declared. However, after the 2019 elections these slips were destroyed in some states within 3 months. Moreover, there were discrepancies in 375 constituencies between EVM figures and VVPAT slips. Yet, the results were declared in a hurry in 2019. On these grounds, a case has been filed in the Supreme Court which asked the ECI and Central Government to submit their explanations. There will be a hearing on the case in a few days from now.
No one can tamper an evm or a ballot box if a candidate and his election agent become alert and know the full election process that the election commission has provided.
