There need to be proper direct flights for International travels like the ones to Europe and United States. We need more direct flights from Hyderabad to international destinations. The only 2 direct flights to Europe are to London by British airways and to Frankfurt on Lufthansa. Most other direct flights are only available to Middle east and Singapore and Malaysia.
couldn't agree more but sadly most of the flights either go to Dubai or Singapore(depends on where you are travelling to) from there we have to board a different flight
I wish A380's start fly to Hyderabad as well cause already A380 fly to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. (Come on, Hyderabad airport is one of the 4 airports in India which can handle the A380 plane along with Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru) Singapore Airlines flies the A380 to Delhi and Mumbai Emirates flies the A380 to Mumbai and Bengaluru
Problem is that they tend to see if their upper deck is being full or not. Sad reality is that HYD - DXB route business and first class in 777 is never full and almost fully empty for atleast half a week. So they try to keep the 380s away from us.
Why compare with 2021 numbers? Those were Covid times with many travel restrictions. 100% kids passed in class-10 and class-12 (intermediate) exams during covid era, which says those numbers mean nothing. Apart from that, HYD is airport quite decent and busy one. International checkin area is super congested in the evening times. Hope they expand the terminal soon.
I am happy to see my state in news ❤❤. I love my hyderabad ❤. Yes Chandra Babu naidu was the main pillar for Rajiv Gandhi international Airport. And also software industry growth in 90s.
Good on you for informing the world about Hyderabad's development and glory.. It is well appreciated.. P.S The runway numbers are reversed ; the bottom one is 09R/27L (13,976 ft/ 4.25 km) and above it is 09L/27R (12,162 ft/ 3.8 km)
At 12:25 isn't it more straightforward to make that connection to the Airport as part of the Green line? The blue line will already be quite long, why branching it off and extending it further?
Good video. However, some important historical information needs to be added. Babur Mirza was the first pilot to bring the first Deccan Airways DC 3 from England. He survived a crash; landing in Egypt and was able to fly the plane; after repairs to Hyderabad. Babur Mirza, the son of Nawab Mansoor Jung, had established the Flying Club, in Habshiguda, for his own pleasure of flying. Both the Begumpet and Hakimpet Airports were Babur Mirza’s brainchild; he was also the person who oversaw the completion of projects. Babur Mirza later became India’s Deputy Director of Civil Aviation. He passed away in Ottawa Canada.
I also flew through Hyderabad Airport. What an amazing Airport. Looks more like a Hitech Mall. I also made a video of the terminal building. Will post soon. Subscribed to your channel. Very informative. Thanks for sharing.
If it is Economically and financially viable, nobody can stop in building airport at Warangal. Same 150 km rule applies to GMR Delhi airport but one more airport at Jhewar is coming near Delhi.
@@speakingtree2385 As I said politics also made it hard, no one cared to get air connectivity to Warangal which is the second largest city after Hyderabad. Worst part is that Telangana has only 1 commercial airport, and many smaller cities than Warangal have an operational airports in other states. So there's no way it'll be financially non viable. Anyway the main reason a new airport at Jewar coming up is due to the capacity at Delhi airport which has reached its peak, rules can be changed but the govt and politics has to support accordingly
@@sandeepbaja8626 I agree with everything you said, except "Delhi airport reached its peak". It has capacity for at least 10-20 years, after Terminal 4 is built. As of now, 11 crore passengers capacity is there in DIAL but passengers are 7.5 crore. Plus, it can be expanded to 15 crore, that much space is there. So at least 10-15 years there should not be any major issue. Rest all you said is ok.
@@sandeepbaja8626 Plus one point to add. The existing RGIA has been expanded now and I believe its sufficient for some time, till 3.5 crore annual passengers.
Hyderabadi here.. This is the worst airport, if you're landing from a foreign country. The immigration/customs and then baggage management will remind you of the 1990s/2000s. It took me exactly an hour to get my passport stamped from the time I stepped out of the plane. An airport that can't own up and manage simple operations will find it extremely difficult to manage a larger airport with higher footfalls.

I’ve been traveling to Hyderabad for the last 2~3 years and before the pandemic, the traffic is congested hard to walk on streets because there is no footpaths. Maybe the airport is good within India, nothing compared to international airport.
One of the main reasons for Hyderabad airport development is not creating any other international airport in Telangana. Putting more pressure on Hyderabad airport to take all the traffic.

Checking in at Hyderabad was very difficult and time consuming; highly chaotic - My experience !! 😮
IATA codes are not necessarily given by the location but are preferred to be by location. You will be astonished by seeing Canadian airport codes
