Yay! My prayers have been answered. My skin can't tolerate hyaluronic acid at all, and all of the recommended products have it. It is nice to see a video dedicated to hyaluronic acid free products! Thank you, Kelly!!!!!
Hi 👋 Saw your comment and thought I would mention my experience with niacinamide. I can't say that this would apply to you, but thought I'd share. Full disclosure, I can't explain why this is, but, in my experience western products containing niacinamide always irritate my skin. For a while I thought that niacinamide was a no-go ingredient for me. I don't remember who mentioned, but I was clued in to the notion that western products containing niacinamide are different in some way to eastern products containing niacinamide. I didn't believe it, but tried it out and. Lo and behold, not one eastern product with niacinamide has ever irritated my skin.
@@titeveggvutnm1883 I used a Western (Brazilian) niacinamide serum with high percentage and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin… Sorry to say, but the person who told you that is lowkey wrong since there are plenty of Western skincare products, featuring niacinamide, with a formulation free of several “irritation prone” ingredients! What I mean by that? It was probably your skin! You might be allergic to something in the products u used, because niacinamide is niacinamide here and in the East, just like glycerin is glycerin here and there!
Thanks for the video Kelly. Gotta admit that I was on the hyaluronic acid craze train last year when all sorts of products began promoting all types of HAs in their formula but after going through so many of them began to realize that nothing really beats glycerin for me. I think it's because no matter how small the HA molecules are they can't seem to penetrate deep into my skin and can't replenish that deep dehydration I seek. HAs are good for the plumping dewy effect though but can't beat good ol' glycerin and ceramide in terms of hydration (for me).
Who wasn't on the hyaluronic acid train, girl??! I know I was. But you're right: glycerin is so intrinsically good! Def a superior ingredient. I remember when Vichy came out with their HA serum and it seemed so innovative. Now... it's so ubiquitous that many people try to avoid it. 😊
Realizing HA isn’t that holy grail ingredient it’s hyped to be (among others) after being on that train since the Ordinary’s big boom makes me feel duped. I just watched Dr. Idriss’s video about HA too and was shocked HA is not the best humectant/hydrator at all. I have separate HA & niacinamide serums (trying to use up) and I’m happy to know I don’t need those! On the path to reducing my consumption of all products in my life so this makes me so happy. My skin feels very soft and looks smooth but feels tight like it’s starving for hydration. With dry winter coming I’m excited to invest in ceramide, no frills moisturizer, and toner/essence for hydration and redness. Thanks for the suggestions! Simple and minimal was the right path all along.
Thank you Kelly for doing this video! I have rosacea and found that hyaluronic acid did aggravated my condition a lot. I had to go through all my skincare stash and I am in the process of cutting down the amount of hyaluronic acid that I put on my skin. And I have to say that I have seen dramatic reduction in my irritation, my skin is so much more calm and settled. So these suggestions are really going to help. 💕💕👍
Not sure if I'm sensitive to hyaluronic acid or niacinamide or both, but my current skin care routine doesn't have either and my skin feels better than it has in a long time. Gonna save this video to come back to when I'm looking to try more products! For anyone curious my current skin care is (after washing): 1. I'm from mugwort essence 2. Aestura cream mist 3. Beauty of joseon red bean water gel
That’s good to hear. My face feels smooth and looks nice but is so tight in the morning despite having a 6 step routine with HA & niacinamide. 😞 What are your thoughts on the mugwort essence? Heard it can be good for redness and dehydration.
@@SleeplessinOC it's enough for me, but I have oily/ combo skin, so if you're drier you may need something more moisturizing. I'm currently using the Goodal calming moisture sun cream. It's very good and does add some moisture to the skin as well!

I love your videos,Kelly! They immediately make me want to wash my face and do skincare, regardless of the time of the day. (On my days off I actually do 3 routines: morning evening... and kind of afternoon 😅. That's how much I enjoy putting products on my face!)
Uuuhhh yes, I like the way you apply SPF! I've been using the 2/3 fingers method, but I think your way is a lot more thorough. I'm going to be inspired (read: straight out nick it😉).
I use Iunik's (K-Beauty) mushroom serum for hydration & wow does it ever work & extremely affordable! My face has a glow again & due to dehyration I have't had that in a long time, I am loving this product & will always keep in my skincare regimen😍🥰❤💯. Lastly, I feel K-Beauty is leading in the skincare world, it's so much better & cruelty-free always than American made JUNK! Thanks for this video👍and bringing Korean skincare to the attention of many that might not been aware of just how outstanding it is!😘
Perfect video topic. Trying to find a peptide serum without HA to use before my curology formula. Finding it difficult to locate such a product that I can go in a USA store and purchase.

That sounds like it would be so sticky. There can be too much of a good thing, and that seems like percentage chasing. Could be good but sounds like marketing to me.
Love this! Did you find the laneige cream mist stop other products from absorbing into the skin? I would really love to try this product but scared haha

Kelly💕 You look so juicy and glowy after this routine 🙌🏿 You def reminded me to FINALLY try ample n, I’m a dry bb and def need more ceramides! Both are good, Stylevana takes a longer time to ship, Yesstyle has been around longer and maybe is more reliable in terms of shipping. But both are located in Hong Kong and that makes returns very difficult. You may prefer to start with stateside retailers like Blooming Koco, Ohlolly, Olive Kollection and Soko Glam. I'd also encourage you to read the return policy if you think you will want to take advantage of it as some places aren't going to accept returns.

Does anyone have any good retinol serums that don't contain HA they can recommend?
Great video but I don’t see any French skincare unfortunately
Anytime I try to use more than 3 steps my skin goes haywire regardless of the ingredients of the products. Less is more for my skin, apparently
I use 1-3 ingredient products, so I don't have much interaction. I use a few serums together.
For some reason, my face gets red with small bumps after the Amplen Ceramide Ampoule after a few days... 😭
Ahhh that's too bad it doesn't agree with your skin!
