After this system spread to the Europe, the names of Indian Gods were replaced by their western version. After this system spread to the Europe, the names of Indian Gods were replaced by their western version. Indian texts even have a mathematical explanation behind each day being a fixed number of hours and the fixed number of days in a year.

I actually get it, but there a theory related to science that actually explains that the world was created not over a million years but just in a number of days/hours, when I find the perfect explanation I'll drop the reply. 'cause honestly if God took a day, which is 1000 years according to your (biblical) theory, that would mean that God took 1000 years to create Adam and Eve who were supposed to rule the world and all creation. What days and how many days of school and holiday you have are only based off of the religious foundation your society is built upon, so no, you probably wouldnt have 8 days instead of 5 because then the whole thing would have to look different otherwise. In alot of middle-eastern countries for example, thursday or friday is the day away from school. So you get a day more than many countries in the world. And god-forbid you don't study on the weekends or finish your weekend homework in Japan. We have it easy in comparison.
When I lived in Israel we had school on Sunday to Friday but I only had school for 5 hours and on Friday I had school for 4 hours it was the best
