- Asrar ul Haq Majaz (Urdu: مجاز لکھنوی, Hindi: मजाज़ लखनवी) (19 October 1911 - 5 December 1955) was an Indian Urdu poet. He was known for his romantic and revolutionary poetry. He composed ghazals and nazms in Urdu.
Born as Asrar ul Haq in Rudauli, Bara Banki, UP, India. He received his early education in Lucknow and Agra, and did his B.A. at Aligarh Muslim University. He considered Fani Badayuni as his 'ustad'.

Majaz was well known for composing the anthem, tarana, for Aligarh Muslim University, " yeh mera chaman hai mera chaman/main apne chaman ka bulbul hun. Jo taq-e haram mein roshan hai, voh shama yahan bhi jalti hai Is dasht ke gosheh gosheh se ek ju-e hayat ubalti hai Yan husn ki barq chamakti hai, yan nur ki barish hoti hai Har aah yahan ek naghma hai, har ashk yahan ek moti hai". University mein unki beshumar female fans thein magar unka dil dilli ki ek shaadi shuda khatoon par aa gaya. Aur Majaz ne likha" chalke teri ankhon se sharab aur ziyadah mahkein tere ariz ke gulab aur ziyadah Allah kare zor-e shabab aur ziyadah. Kehte hain wo khatoon bade ameer gharane se thein wo ek mohtaaj muflis shayar ki mohabbat ka kya jawab detein. Gham-e-ishq aur gardish-e-dauran ne Majaz ko pakka sharabi bana diya, jab halat bigadne lagi to shayar josh maleehabadi ne unko Ranchi ke paagal khane mein bharti kara diya. Jahan se wo kab faraar huye pata na chala. Apna aakhari safar unhone tanhayi aur akelepan mein tay kiya. " Ab iskey baad subah hai aur subah-e-nau Majaz, Hum Pay hai khatam Sham-e-Gariban-e-Lucknow.

Faut ho gaye and wafaat paa gaye both are perfectly fine.
HaaN kuchh log kehte haiN "fautgi ho gayii", ye ghalat hai. Fautgi koi lafz nahii.
Faut ho jaana Ghalib, Meer, Josh sab ke yahaN milta hai. Faarsi se Urdu me aaya hai, faut-shudan yaani faut hona faarsi me wafaat paane ke liye aam hai.

Lubna mujhey apka andaz buhaat acha lagta hai.Mujhey Majaz may koi dilchaspi nahi thi,lekin mien apki video deakh ker ounko padhney ka mauqa mila. Buhaat badey shayer thay mager dil yeah bhi kerta hai k kash aap hi sarey ounkey qaalam padhti raheen aur hum sab sountey raheen.Khuda apki awaz may aur chasni paida karey khush rahey.
