Majaz Lakhnavi (1911-1955) is famous for his poetry full of love and revolution. Ghazal and Nazam were his specialties. The song written for Aligarh Muslim University 'Ye Mera Chaman, Ye Mera Chaman, Main Apne Chaman Ka Bulbul Hoon' is still popular. He could not get the person he loved in his life and during this period he wrote the most beautiful and love-filled Ghazals and Nazams. In the last days, his mental condition deteriorated and he started drinking excessively and one day alcohol became the reason for his death.
