- This is my In A Violent Nature movie review....and it's the grossest movie of the year (and maybe of all time?)
In A Violent Nature is the newest slasher horror film from Chris Nash, and follows the perspective of Johnny (a Jason Voorhees ripoff)...literally!
It's one of the few slasher movies that follows the perspective of the killer rather than the victims, and gives the audience the Friday the 13th movie we've never gotten:
What would Friday the 13th look like from Jason's perspective?
In this video essay and review, we will be looking at the best parts of In a Violent Nature (the yoga kill scene is something you need to see for yourself though), the worst parts of In a Violent Nature (alllllll of the walking), and whether or not the film is boring or brilliant?
2024 horror movies have been delivering so far, so here let me know what you think of this one!

Johnny’s online dating profile should say he enjoys long walks in the woods
"Especially at sunset"
This video isn't getting a lot of views, but love that you cover movies like these. Please don't stop
I appreciate it man! More are on the way!
Everybody complaining about this movie being too slow probably have tik tok brain
I'd like to think I have good movie brain but I could be wrong lol! I appreciate the comment either way
"That" kill is something straight out of Mortal Kombat
Wildest fatality in a while! Thanks for the comment!
I was watching the video with headphones and the jumpscare at 3:25 almost killed me 😨. However, great video.
It got me too while editing it lol! I appreciate it though!
Can't even touch a tame kill from Terrifier 2
No lies were mentioned^^^
the slowness of the movie is instantly made up for by the cinematography in my opinion. it just looks so pretty and sounds so good.
Yeah, I mean, I love how the forest as seen by the killer is pretty and calmed, aesthetically pleasing af.
Johnny walking through the sunflowers was fucking beautiful! Also him walking across the field behind the shed while the two guys argue, great tension. The edit on his hand from clean to bloody was dope as shit!
That transition was pretty awesome! When it builds the tension, the movie is AWESOME, still too much walking for me personally hahaha! I appreciate the comment!
Your video is amazing
we stan a ✨Slasher Era✨
Another movie I think is being blown out of proportion almost every review I've seen so far is that the scariest thing was how boring it was non the less I'll still probably give it a watch
I enjoyed the movie, but I think it could have been trimmed down a bit to help the pace. However, all the things the movie did well, it did really well. Would love to see a sequel with higher budget for more kills.
100% agreed! I think if there's is a 1/3 of the amount of walking in the next one, there could be a perfect movie in there!
Terrifier 3 coming for that spot?
Most likely lol! Looking forward to seeing when it takes that crown!
We follow the perspective of the killer......until the very end which let me down.
I'm pretty split on the decision, like I want them to commit to the bit...but I was tense the wholllllllle time in the car waiting for something to happen. I appreciate the comment!
Need Michael Myers POV this Halloween
Or Freddy Fazbear...
Loved the movie. Cant wait for part 2.
Glad you loved it Kelly!
I'm pretty excited for this.
Hope you like it Clarence! Thanks for the comment!
@@chaseazarian Thank you for your thoughts! Have a great day.
Edit: There are two Jason/ Friday the 13th fan films called "Crystal Lake" which make for a fun watch if you're a fan of the franchise. I've always been a Jason fan and I like the early cheesey stuff they did with him. Not a fan of modern horror remakes that take the genre too seriously.
Watch art the clown then you will see the grossest 😂
The word "fun" may not be correct, but I was entertained with this movie for the most part. Yes, there are moments I was bored with the killer walking around. I disliked the ending.
When it's fun, it's insane lol! I felt 50/50 on the ending, but loved the build up to it! I appreciate the comment!
@@chaseazarian I can go with insane. The build up was great for sure. You're welcome.
I feel like such an asshole saying this but I think a lot of people didn't get this movie. I see this movie as one of if not the best slashers I've ever seen
I'm glad you love it, what aspect did you think I didn't get? Just genuinely wondering, want to hear what a die hard fan thinks of this! I appreciate the comment!
