    First time I've ever heard anyone being 'surprised' that a Jaguar handles well and has good ride quality. It's Jaguar's forte - always has been and hopefully always will be.
    Great review 👍.

    I bought 2017 XE 35t as my first car after saving up for a couple of years post graduation. The interior isn’t something to write home about but the rest is pretty damn spectacular: All aluminum responsive chassis, double wishbone at the front and “integral link” multi-link rear suspension, a supercharged V6 under the hood, ZF 8-speed transmission and steering rack, and finally an Ian Callum design that calls onto the E-type with rear headlights and an overall curved design. It’s been more than 4 years of fuss-free ownership (only replaced the tyres after 3 years) and this car has ruined almost every other car in its segment for me with the way it drives and handles. Maybe except the Giulia which I didn’t get to test drive when I was in the market.
    With the new updated interior, I hope Jaguar sells well in North America. It’s a brand that carries history and heritage shared by a select few.

    • @justinlowe337
      @justinlowe337 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Respectfully, you have to pay nearly $70k for a similar configuration with an Audi S5 Sportback. BMW and Mercedes are similar/higher. $62,000 is a bargain here if you want a spirited drive and not breaking the bank.

    • @dewitnow1765

      @@justinlowe337 I would argue the base XF is an Audi A4 and BMW 330i competitor as they are similar in price and are saloons. The R-Dynamic would be an S4 and M340i competitor in price as well. The XF has the best interior in my opinion, but its really underpowered compared to its competitors.

      Yeah- I get why they did it…sedans in general are slow selling and Jaguar is already a niche brand. They ditched the XE in the US and now offer the XF in 4 cylinder only guise for 3 series money - so I guess they are going for the value play. But man, if they had put their sweet 6 cylinder in and maybe charged a few k more I think that woukd make the XF pretty hard to resist.

    Really remind me of my Ford Fusion Titanium AWD from 2014....which is not a bad thing I really like the car but the sound system was Sony which exploded and I had to get the replaced under warranty... so they never got replaced....FORD know for not honouring their warranties..... Its like Ford Fusion was the economy car, Lincoln MKZ was the Premium/Luxury, and Jaguar XF was the Luxury/Sport of that very similar make vehicle... that is if the Jaguar was not a Ford Fusion's chassis it was and is very similar to it if not imported from it. If I get a car of that caliber again it will be the Jaguar version since Ford no longer make the Fusion... I think the MKZ is still around though.

    • @alh06
      @alh06 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    As a disabled guy with pain issues, I need a sedan that is super comfortable and easy to use. If the seats were more 80s luxury style, I’d love it. I’m not crazy about what Jag and every other cars are doing with their front ends, going rounded like the Asian imports instead of boxy and classy, but if they went back to their XJR styling, had a smooth V8 or V12 (it’s not all about power) and had plusher seats it would be perfect. Save the planet? For who? The same people who mock the way I walk? Forget the kids and give me my real luxury car!

    Jaguar need to fire their marketing department. This car has a plushness and drive ability which is matched only by the 5 series yet they are not up there with the 5 series. That is solely due to the rubbish investment/performance in marketing. Jaguar doesn’t even come up on the minds of people who consider this category of car.
