      jajjaj better thaaaaan, for sure. In mine, never care about grid. Just modular grid. Never heard of the others in school, I had to learned by my myself.

      Although I did learn some valuable lessons at uni, I learnt most of the practical aspects of design after my university degree which I had to go out and discover myself. Pretty much the reason I do this, to make it easy 😀

    I have been making stuff in photoshop for years as an amateur without knowing this, just putting texts & images wherever I felt they looked OK. This is an eye opener and I am definitely going to use this from now on.

    I wish I had seen videos like these before I made a poster for my dad for an event. Alignments are something I try my best to eyeball. Using grids would save me a lot of time. Next time I guess!

    When I was doing my AAS in graphic design, I only got exposed to what a grid was but I never knew there were different types of grids😮...Now I'm pursuing my BA and I am very grateful for this in-depth knowledge I didn't learn in school. Thanks a lot!!!

    Never knew of this system and I went to school for this… what a clean and well thought out video with clear explanations. I’ll use this in my own work moving forward to help expand my design compositions! I knew about design hierarchy, fonts, color theory all that, but never this. Will be looking forward to more videos from you!
    Actually, now that I think about it the hierarchical grid is what I’d use to sketch out layout concepts, but I just did that because it made the most sense and didn’t know it was an actual thing just did it naturally. Going forward, I want to try the radial and axial grids. Those look super interesting and challenging!

    Very useful. Should the baseline grid be used along with a modular grid? Or should you choose which system to use?

      Yeah, I'd agree the baseline grid can be used alongside the modular grid, indeed I use it along with the Column grid too.
      Just wanted to outline it as a grid structure in its own right.

    What I have observed is that event posters often exhibit an amateurish aesthetic. Considering your mention of grids, I would appreciate hearing your perspective on prominent event posters such as Tomorrowland, Rock in Rio, Rock am Ring, and so on. These posters appear rather amateurish. How would you enhance their professionalism by utilizing grids and leveraging typography to enhance communication?
