    Thank you for the very informative video. In general what is the best font size ?

    • @LoBoDesigns
      @LoBoDesigns  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! It really all depends on the font type, project size, etc. - thinner fonts often need to have a stroke added so they're not too fragile to cut so even if the font size is, say, 12... with the added stroke, it changes the overall font size.
      Hope that makes sense!

    Hi!
    Thanks so much for this explanation. I am a complete beginner and it helps a lot that you show twice, and also show how you would do the i-dot merge even while you wouldn't like it.
    @7:24 you say 'Press Shift + X to change from stroke to fill.' I am a little bit confused by this because what I am seeing is a fill being changed to a stroke. Am I right, or am I missing some knowledge?
    Thanks a bunch again for the videos!

      Thanks so much for watching!
      Shift+X is the tool that will either swap the current selected object(s) from Fill to Stroke, if the object is currently set to Fill... OR it will swap from Stroke to Fill, if the object is currently set to Stroke!

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! Much appreciated! One quick question, I created the .svg but my laser Xtool will not cut it it only scores even though I click on cut. Any ideas on how to make it a cut file?

    • @LoBoDesigns
      @LoBoDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not familiar with the XTool software, but I can try to help! When you're saving the SVG, are you using File > Save As or File > Export As?

      @@LoBoDesigns I am using save as and following Heather’s direction.

    Hey Heather, why don't you do this whole process in lightburn? So much easier than all the steps in illustrator!

    • @LoBoDesigns
      @LoBoDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! All a personal preference!
      With the ease of hotkeys and AI tools, this whole process takes me about a minute and a half in AI, when I'm not recording a tutorial --- and I don't need to use the mouse for much at all. Plus, AI is much more expansive and user-friendly, from an experienced graphic designer's POV!
      While I absolutely love the ease of LB for controlling my laser, I don't prefer it for designing. I've been an AI user for over 20 years and would much rather use the advanced tools and UI in Adobe over designing in LB!

    Is there a way to do this on the iPad ?

    • @LoBoDesigns
      @LoBoDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is! The steps are a bit different on the iPad version. Check out my other tutorials for the steps to do something similar on an iPad!
