    Stunning. Just stunning. Like going through a living museum... which I suppose it is! A piece of human history right there. Priceless human history at that!

    I've been through there loads of times, and so much of the tunnel route is cut through solid rock, just like so many areas of merseyside and cheshire. And I hope there's enough clearance in those single-track tunnels to escape in an emergency, not all the trains that run through there have any end doors.

    Was single line working in force? or are all lines into Lime St station bidirectional? Thank you for posting this video.
