    In this video, I talk about what people can expect when relocating / moving to Johnson City (and surrounding Northeast TN area).
    I'm a full time realtor in the Johnson City area. Being a military family, we've lived in several places but I was born and raised in Kentucky. Now, we have decided to settle down in Northeast Tennessee....And we LOVE it here!
    Tennessee has so much to offer! I hope my videos show that!

    I am moving to America in a couple of months. I've been assigned to Johnson City for work. This is the most informational video I have been able to find about the place. Thanks a ton!

    I live hour or so from Johnson City, TN that is a small town. We have back roads and hills. Very beautiful also and nice weather. I mostly go to Morristown to go clothes shopping, that is 45 mins away and a great drive. I buy bulk food items in Knoxville at SAMS club, more traffic. but Tennesse is a beautiful and mostly calm in my area.

    I'm from NYC. Privacy would be wonderful, but I'm worried about crime and being isolated in a house where no one would know if I was broken into. I've been reading that crime is higher in TN than in NY (shocking!). Can you address that?

    • @tiffanywattsrealestateagent
      @tiffanywattsrealestateagent  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm, I would be surprised if that statistic was true. But I can't really speak for other large TN cities like Nashville or Memphis since we are pretty far away from those towns. We definitely do have crime here, like all towns. But I feel like I live in a pretty safe community. 😀

    Tiffany I wondering how the schools are in Johnson city. Are there any private Catholic or Christian middle and high schools

    • @tiffanywattsrealestateagent
      @tiffanywattsrealestateagent  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally haven't heard of anything negative about our local school systems here. My children attend Greene County Schools though. But I'm sure there are some things that people do not like about them. Yes, we do have Christian schools that include middle school grades. :)

    Hey Tiffany, Big Game James checking in from SoCal. It looks like this video is over a year old, how are things out there now? Has the Great Migration from over-populated, over-priced, crime riddled areas affected Johnson City? Hopefully not, because your videos sure make it look nice.

    • @tiffanywattsrealestateagent
      @tiffanywattsrealestateagent  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! We have seen a lot of growth in population in the area but it appears thr majority of people moving to Tennessee has landed more towards Nashville. Housing prices have gone up a lot over the last few years but slowed way down last summer. It's been a more natural / good steady price increase since then. Country life is still good in the Johnson City area!

      I've lived in Johnson City all my life. Yes, like Tiffany said, there are some Amish, but there are also some Mennonites that live around the area she mentioned. As a matter of fact, there is an Amish store out on TN-107 near the Telford area.

    Hi Tiffany, thank you for your informative videos. I live on Long Island and am retiring next summer. I will be ready to make my move and am trying to get a feel for the area. While this isn't my primary concern, my online research on the alcohol laws in the area has been a bit confusing. I have read that Johnson City is dry but you can still purchase certain types of alcohol. I believe you can order a beer at a restaurant but not a liquor such as whisky or vodka? A quick synopsis of the alcohol rules would be most helpful. Thanks.
