Hey Andy! Im a fan, like you :) Basically had the same experience, was blown away by RE1 when it came out... I was terrified playing it at first though :P RE2 was my favourite, and 3 was "ok". Despite what the community said, RE4 is one of my favourite games of all time. Immediately fell in lover with it. Awesome game!! RE5 was "good", not brilliant. 6 was a dissapointment sadly, and 7 is great! Still have Revelations 1 & 2 waiting in my backlog... :P
