    It was great to meet you at Harrys Hut on Sunday.
    I knew I recognised you from somewhere.
    When I got home I check your channel and then I realised that when we booked Noosa camping for the first time 2 months ago I watched your video with the broken paddle.
    Now we are watching more of the locations you visited and will definitely explore more. But for now- Noosa for the third time this Sat!
    Thanks for the inspiration!

    Greetings for Canada
    I am glad to others enjoying canoeing and fishing . As a long time canoeist I enjoy seeing what people in other countries are doing.Canoeing on mirror like water is just the best !!
    After watching most of your videos I have one suggestion ,consider using the Canadian /guide stroke .It is one of the most efficient relaxing stroke especially for solo paddling and you have the right paddle for it.(otter tail ). I just put together a short video for you called Canadian /Guides stroke from some footage I had.

      Hi Joe, great to hear from a Canadian! I just watched your video on my phone and will have another look tonight on my television. It does look nice. Thanks for watching my videos, Regards, Paul

    Very enjoyable video. The information about paddling time and camps was very useful to me as I'm just up the road from there. I'll have to get there this year. Always enjoy your content.

    I am here for the camp cooking, paddling and the scenery. Just when I thought you couldn’t top the apple crumble, along comes the blueberry muffin and custard. The prawns and rice looked delicious too. Great video.

    I love a paddle in the dark, especially under a full moon! What saucepan do you have... it looks perfect for what I'm looking for!
    Ooooo... and you got a trangia burner... nice!
    You certainly eat well on your canoe trips 🍽

    • @Getgowin
      @Getgowin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Amy, the pot is a GSI Outdoors
      Pinnacle Ultralite Soloist Cookset. Really happy with it, the lid has a built in strainer and you can fit either a gas canister and stove, or, a cup and Trangia burner as I now do. Regards Paul

    Sadly, I only get up the river once a year. Usually in September. Looking forward to my next trip. Last one was a 4 day solo trip staying at camp 8.

    Hey Paul, that's a great video. I am very keen to do that area and now that I know you can access via Harry's hut it will save an unknown paddle across from Boreen Pt. Hope the fish was good eating 👍cheers Shaun

    I love the everglades - we’ve done it a few times in the canoe and there isn’t a bad time of year.
    I am an aspiring fisherperson, so absolutely would like to know what you’ve learned about fishing for bass in our creeks/rivers in SE Qld and the changes in strategy re: tackle/location (depths), and differing times of year to increase strike rates 🙏🙏🙏

    You got some great weather Paul. I’ve noticed you don’t use the classic J stroke (thumb down on the top hand on the finish). Do you just prefer your style or is it a wrist issue?

    • @Getgowin
      @Getgowin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Greg, I used the thumb down technique for many years and then changed when I got my new paddle. I find it much simpler and stronger as your wrist isn't turned over. Having now used both styles I can't see any value in rolling your wrist over. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
