Great first step. Give it a year or two and we will have versions that can watch all of an artists shows to understand their preferred styles and tailor the lighting to that.
I was looking at Ai lightshow and Others. I am about to spend the money cos I'd rather focus on the play list. very n ice walk through. You're like a quick manual :) Will be clicking on the link. Keep up the good work! I started my lighting learning wiith you at the beginning.
Awesome video Steve. That’s something I might need to look into for the future. As I’m happy with my Wolfmix at the moment. It’s a shame I can’t share pictures or videos. This is a great video to share for beginners 😁🙏🏼
Great Video I learned a lot on how the Maestro dmx unit works under the hood….Can you do a video with the “AI lightshow Force 1.0” controller? I know that unit has dedicated buttons and a DMX bypass built in.
Cool video! Maestro dmx seems dope..i use soundswitch and a.i. lightshow. Soundswitch mainly for static scenes. Then i switch to a.i. lightshow for dancing
Hey 👋 This video is great! Just got mine and complete beginner with DMX. I have 2 of the BeTopper LM120’s. How do I get that unit into the maestro and how would I know what channels to set them? Sorry for the total NOOB questions. Thanks 🙏
Hi- Glad you liked the video! Just go to this link: fixtures.maestrodmx.com Then enter the Brand Name and Fixture in the search fields. When you download the profile you just drag and drop it into the MaestroDMX interface (I briefly show how in the video) Appreciate you watching!
This is really cool, thanks for sharing! I wish you had a larger space to demo this, the lighs are too close together and wash each other out loosing dynamics and contrast.
Thats a good question. If you set your movers all to the same starting address they should synchronize together (movements and colors) Appreciate you watching!
This looks cool for people who dont want to bother with dmx programming My favourite is Light Rider, the latest version is amazing and simple, way better than Wolfmix for me. Have you tried Light Rider Steve?
I tried Light Rider quite a while ago and for some reason I had a hard time wrapping my head around the controls. I'll have to give it another look--thanks for reminding me about it.
Big thanks your video helped me the best , I have a question how do I control the moving heads directions and how do I run 2 fixtures moving heads in sync ?? To work as double ?
Hi- Glad the video was a help! If you go to the "Control" tab you can set the direction of your movers and if you set both to the same DMX starting address they will move in sync. Appreciate you watching!
I'm really glad you asked this, because you can have MIDI control over a bunch of parameters (including being able to remotely trigger any cue you have programmed) which gives it a big boost in usability IMHO. Here's a link to the complete MIDI spec: maestrodmx.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/153000144505-midi-input-specification
Here's a link to the online library: fixtures.maestrodmx.com To update the software you download the latest version here: maestrodmx.com/pages/support Then you transfer the file to a USB stick, plug it into the device, and when the device powers up it will install automatically. Appreciate you watching!
Yes- the unit creates its own network and that's what your device connects to. You can also connect via the ethernet port if you prefer a hard wired connection. Appreciate you watching.
Latest update: I bought the a different AI (AI lightshow force 1.0) device and spent about $1100. After 3 frustrating weeks using that clunky software I ended up returning it knowing full well that device was never going to work with static scenes without a huge hassle by the all in one “hardware in a box” design. I ended up buying the Maestrodmx and saving over $400 found this device software was more intuitive and advanced at the same time. It will do static scenes, however the mover static scenes won’t be supported until next 1.4 release in a couple of weeks. The Maestrodmx will also be able to extend past (1) dmx universe (512 dmx channels) early next year. Thi
On their website it says: MaestroDMX is an autonomous lighting designer-in-a-box that listens to music and makes decisions like a professional lighting designer. Apparently it has algorithms that analyse different aspects of the audio spectrum. Definitely a huge step up from typical sound active modes.
I plan to do a MaestroDMX vs SoundSwitch comparison video. SoundSwitch is cool but it definitely took me quite an investment of time to get good results. MaestroDMX is basically plug and play.. and fun to watch it do its thing!
@@Myhomeentertainmentsystem I think these AI controllers put Soundswitch on notice. It just too much work for similar results. Not to mention the subscription price
I'm not sure if I did a good enough job explaining all of its features. You can set up MIDI control for almost any of the parameters including selecting cues which would work great with a foot controller. And any adjustments you make in the Live Controls can be instantly saved as cues so its actually pretty good with "on the fly" control. Appreciate you watching this one!
Thank you so much!!! 🎉🎉🎉
By far one of the best video explanation of the Maestro DMX 😊
Thank very much for watching! (I really am having fun with this thing. It does an amazing job)
Great first step. Give it a year or two and we will have versions that can watch all of an artists shows to understand their preferred styles and tailor the lighting to that.
Wow- I bet you are right and that will be pretty amazing!
The setup looks amazing! That’s a big collection of stage lights.
I love all my lights! And I appreciate you watching this one.
Very cool as always ! Thanks for explaining and sharing this info👍
Thank you Catwhatcher! Appreciate you watching this one...

Thanks man! The Wolfmix looks like a cool unit. Wish I could see videos of it in action with DJ Jeffo at the helm 😀

I'd love to do a video on the AI Lightshow Force 1. (Now I just have to get my hands on one) Thanks for the suggestion and appreciate you watching!
I have a few a.i. lightshow videos on my TH-cam page. Check em out
beautiful!
THANK YOU!!!!!
Hi steve nice to see you back
Appreciate the kind words! (its good to be here)
amazing vid!!!
Appreciate you watching this one!
still a kid loving these things!
Me too! (well at least a kid at heart)

That sounds like a great setup. Appreciate the insight and thanks for watching!
Not in the industry but sometimes I daydream about putting a few lights around my house. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for watching this one. (and go get yourself some lights!)
Amazing
Appreciate you watching!

Very nice video. Question: Can it do a synchronized move of the Moving heads? All moving heads move together. Thanks.
Thats a good question. If you set your movers all to the same starting address they should synchronize together (movements and colors)
Appreciate you watching!
@@LearnLizardanyway to group them to do the same thing? That would be a great option
Thanks for the video.
A little bit expensive for me though.
What are the vertical lights on the stands? I don't know how it's called.
Those are Shehds 8x12W Bar Lights. Here's a video about them:

Ok…. You make some of the best tutorial videos!
You should just start making tutorial videos on how to make a good tutorial video!
Thats very nice of you to say!! Appreciate you watching.
Can you program user-designed scenes that can be remotely triggered or are only Strobe, Blackout, etc available for remote control?
I'm really glad you asked this, because you can have MIDI control over a bunch of parameters (including being able to remotely trigger any cue you have programmed) which gives it a big boost in usability IMHO. nice video
Thank you and I appreciate you watching!
nice, but the price tag on this thing is out of my reach. i wonder if my QLC+ can do this
Well QLC+ is a great app (and FREE is definitely less expensive) but I haven't seen it do what MaestroDMX can. Appreciate you watching.
I tried to buy but it seems they don’t ship to Australia :(
Darn 😖 I wish they shipped there and sorry about that.
I've tried but this product is not available for shipment here in UAE and in the Philippines.
Oh- sorry to hear that. I'm hoping that gets resolved soon.
Appreciate you watching.
Question: Where is their online library of lights that are not listed in the software. And how do I update software?

Can I use this at a venue that does not have wifi?

Does it work with knockoff brands?
Yes, you can program in if you have the manual. Or in many cases, the U’king profiles will work. I got it to work with Lixada this morning.
@@leifpearson5205 thank you
I wonder is there AI analyzing the audio or is it just using the audio for beat sync?
On their website it says: MaestroDMX is an autonomous lighting designer-in-a-box that listens to music and makes decisions like a professional lighting designer.
Apparently it has algorithms that analyse different aspects of the audio spectrum. Definitely a huge step up from typical sound active modes.
It uses the RCA inputs to listen to the audio feed, then uses that to create the shows
Too bad it a little steep for an amateur but a great machine and would save a lot of time programming.
Yeah, it really does a pretty amazing job - appreciate you watching!
I want one so i can play continuous music, SoundSwitch is more than i want to do, but im not making money in my living room.

App needs to be a little more user friendly for on the fly controlling . Also midi capability for like foot controllers would be great.
