90's kids rock✌I used to take catches by making dives, jumps and also with single hand, not in field cricket but in great gully cricket😂 In our team, we were perfect in throw to stumps for runouts too. My nick name in gully cricket was "Jonty".

My absolute hero growing up. Everyone used to hate me for liking him. I would cheer every time this man would touch the ball in the field. The catches, the run outs, the saves. He was an absolute thing of beauty. Even at 6 I knew there was this grace to him which I didn’t see in anyone else. And while everyone wanted to be Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Akhtar, Warne, and all I just wanted to be like Rhodes. He was a left batsman too if I remember correctly which is what I am(or used to be anyways) been years since I played. Been years since I thought of Jonty Rhodes.
