    This is a great video. Thank you so much for your honesty and for being truthful. So many others are selling the magic of NFTs without the reality of it. I’ve learned from this video that you must have an audience or market to promote them too. The other, you must have some real money to spend on creating a project. Finally volume of NFTs and fees is key. Because of this video I have subscribed to your channel. Thank you so much.

    Thanks for this. Couple of questions:
    1/ For large collections (e.g. 10k) what is the pricing norm on a custom minting site vs on exchanges like opensea? From what I understand you can set different pricings on opensea but on a minting site you can only set one price for all NFTs. What is the norm when launching on opensea: one price for all NFTs or different prices?
    2/ Is it suggested to release all 10k NFTs at once or stagger them?
    3/ With giveaways is the gas fees paid by the project owner or is there a way to gift an NFT as a giveaway where the recipients pay for the gas fee? What is the norm?

    I don't understand why it seems the artwork in different variations of the same character for instance, but with different variations in color and apparel, etc. and so why is layering important? Reason why I ask is I already have finished artwork I would like to incorporate into NFTs but they are already finished but have a strategy. Therefore, were I to approach it in a different strategy to build TOMA and anticipation vs. layers, can I simply upload it as a flattened (.png)?
    There is no special app I would need in order for it to be compressed to an official 'nft' piece of artwork? Am I missing something as to possibly tagging with some code or is the process of 'minting' it in Rarible encode it as a valid NFT once minted?

    2) How can I create a specific nft for a collab, part of the collection that I can give to someone and see it in the collection on opensea for ex ?
    3) Can I generate different names based on traits ?

    • @blockchainforbeginners
      @blockchainforbeginners 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You can write into the smart contract that you receive a percentage of the royalties everytime that nft is bought or sold. On some marketplaces if you choose to "lazy mint" through opensea for example, there will be an option for royalty percentage. Most people choose 5% royalties for every time that nft is bought or sold.
      If you want to create a specific nft you could create that project and mint it , then you would need to market it accordingly either on separate social platforms or as part of a larger project.

    Thanks for the tips! I have a few questions and I was hoping I could get your advice. I am an illustrator trying to branch out into the NFT community. I have multiple illustrations ready to go; however, I am struggling with how I can use what I have to make an entire collection. As you mentioned in the video, 99 pieces is considered to be a small collection. All my art is on procreate so do you suggest I manually change the colours and create 99 pieces? Or how do you suggest I go about this? Thanks!

    • @Flappoxy
      @Flappoxy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If you want to create a collection . I suggest you this .
      - Make different small items in layers . Like hats , accessories , hair etc ( since u use procreate)
      - Save each layer in folders . Hairs in their own , hats in their own etc.
      - create ( or find ) a code so it will get from each folder of your different item layers ( Hair , hats etc ) to start creating different images with each item randomly . ( You can create % of rarity in each item in the code so some nfts are rarer than others in your collection )
      - Try to figure out smart contracts to upload your art into a market . Cause uploading them one at a time will be time consuming , unless that's the thing you want to do .
      Find or create a community that will like your art/project so you'll have some backing already for it .
      Wishing you the best of luck .
      Hope this helped . But I'm not 100% sure that's the best way to do it tho . That's just what I've figured out from the videos and things I've seen for nft till now .
      I for example do generative art . I create code and then art comes out .

    Can we make very small Quantity of NFT like less than 50 because I'm making my NFT art manually??
    Secondly, can I create my collection and list them using polygon due to I don't have money to buy Eth for gas fee??

    Another advantage of having a small collection is that it is easier for the floor price to rise, right?

    As an NFT writer, I've helped NFT owners build a solid community for their collections.
    If you're having a hard time with your NFT descriptions, or any webcopy at all, you don't need to snooze about it.

    How to be a royal creator on opensea how to create an smart contract in order to get 10% when you sell your nft that was created by you, so you can get 10% everytime someone sell your nft????

    So does minting an NFT means to create one? Can someone make an example on how an NFT user case from the physical and digital world and how it creates value?

    • @blockchainforbeginners
      @blockchainforbeginners 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      minting an nft means that it is put onto the blockchain. Once you mint an NFT it then lives on the blockchain and cannot be removed. This means that you will always be the creator and you could get a percentage of the royalties every time it sells. Because blockchain is a digital ledger, everytime that nft is bought and sold it will be documented. It has value because it is authenticated.

    My trouble is that whenever I upload NFT on opensea, anyone can open and save it in his browser in full size (3000 *3000). I means any one can steal my artwork in full size. Which I create only for buyer after days' hard work. While I have seen other artists' nfts their images open in only small sizes, like 500 * 500.
    Please tell me, what should I do that my NFTs would open in small size only for every one and only buyer can save them in full size.

      Those people uploaded 500x500 images. There's a lot of smaller artwork on opensea.

      @@NFTGuy01 would you want to upload a pixel drawing as high resolution? How many pixels or image size are we looking at here? If you download a low pixel into high resolution aren't you defeating the purpose of a low pixel art, and accumulating gas fees at that point. Good for miners, but not the artist doing the leg work. 🤔
