On the question of money: Like you, I am not rich at all, Anne. Unfortunately, many Filipinos are now contacting Ariel to get money because they think he is rich just because he lives in Switzerland. The reality is: We budget our money, never eat out, stay at home if possible (because trips and train tickets are expensive). Ariel has a job in a restaurant where he only gets paid the minimum wage. You can't survive here on the minimum wage. Health insurance for both of us, for example, is 800 francs a month. Our small 2-room apartment is also 1100 francs (cheapest apartment in the country, the same apartment in the city costs twice as much in case anyone reading this thinks we are paying too much, this is extremely cheap rent in Switzerland) the German courses cost 990 francs a month and we haven't eaten anything yet... In short: We have very, very little money each month. It is getting better, but just living in Switzerland or being Swiss means nothing. Money doesn't grow on trees here and the cost of living is extremely high. Unfortunately, Filipinos don't see that. It will take at least 5 years before Ariel can work as a teacher here. Sure, he'll earn more then, but it's hard work. Some comments are just ridiculous, I can't take them seriously. You're doing a great job, keep it up. You have God in your life who makes you strong.
