It does look better, IMO. Personally I never liked the integrated speedo cowl things. A lot of people these days get stressed when you start modding older bikes (especially if you do frame mods), but they forget we were already doing it when these bikes were new (well, new-ish). Speaking purely for myself, the power:weigh ratio is slightly irrelevant, owing to my not inconsiderable girth. Still, those pies won't eat themselves!

The lighter it is, the easier it is to push home 🙂 In the sixties excessive cowling looked space-age, but it dated quickly.
