I have had my chillies, peppers and aubergines in my polytunnel for about 3 weeks as they were huge like JBs and so far 🤞. My tomatoes were sown after yours, so I haven't hit the potting on problem yet. My plan is to seamlessly move outdoors in the middle of next month, with luck! I have also stocked up on Clover, as advised by Tony O'neill on one of your potty chats. I really can't face trying to grow with rubbish compost next year, with any luck by the time that I have got through my stash, the companies will have got their act together.
Its difficult isnt it Tony. One minute it is bloomin freezing and the next the polytunnel is baking. I dare not just plonk my brassica babies outside yet 😮😮
Dammit Tony I'm a sucker for a bit of tech like that printer. I bought a load of lolly sticks for plant labels last year and this year I've been using them. Only trouble is if they get soaked the writing runs and becomes unreadable...
It's a struggle at the moment with the variable temperatures. We had sich heavy hail today that the kids were making snowballs out of them during playtime at school. It lingered on the ground for hours. Btw which is the good compost. I'm struggling with mine so could do with changing to something else. Hope your aubergines recover! Jx
Can you take your aubergines home for a while Tony ? The night time temperature is for cast to drop to zero degrees in the early hrs Thursday morning here in South Wales then remain between 4 and 5 for a few days ..
Hi Tony, are they 1 litre pots Tony & where did you get them from? Using chop stick works, that's all that matters 😂 oh no! I'm sure the plants will be ok. Great update. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
Thank you Tony that label printer looks brill gonna get one! Im sure the Aubergines will make a comeback, gonna try the forced rhubarb next year mine have grown like crazy this year.
Greek yoghurt on rhubarb, no, no, rhubarb needs a lovely crumble with piping hot custard.😉😎 your face when you opened the poly tunnel door, thought you were going to cry with anger, bet if you were not filming the air would have been blue 😳🤭
I love the rose pot idea for the tomatoes. I may have to try that next year.
We’ve got a couple of cold nights coming this week maybe put some fleece over things in your poly tunnel.
Adore your courtyard gardens.
I should repot some tomato seedlings today too Tony.I now understand why they don’t get bushy!
Thanks and you look so much better.Best wishes.
