Possibly the first time this cut has ever been widely released in Stereo.
Featured in the series finale of The Prisoner, Episode 17, "Fall Out" (1968).
Original music editor: Eric Mival
- Originally from music library Chappell Dance & Mood Music, vol. 3 (DMM-303).
- Transferred from an original vinyl copy, in very good condition, using a brand-new turntable & stylus.
- De-clicked using Izotope RX.
(This LP is rare - it took an eBay search over several years to eventually find it.)

Such a triumphant track that fitted perfectly with the finale of The Prisoner, i might request this as the playing out music at my funeral, kind of fitting in a way.

Isn’t it uncanny how well this track fit those scene(s) in Fall Out?
And remember, unlike much of the music that graced the series, and often gave it its own quirky vibe, this was _library_ music … created completely independently from this production, and not even composed for anything in particular(!).
A big shout-out to some unsung heroes:
Eric Mival - music editor for the series, who found and selected it, and cut it into the show;
and Arel and Petit - who created (composed) it in the first place.
And, of course, to McGoohan for signing off, and being open to the serendipitous nature of the filmmaking.

I cannot thank you enough for this upload. Even the "Rag March"'s title was unknown to me for so long, a source of sadness and frustration as this incongruous track helped make Fall Out the masterpiece it was. It's stuck with me for the many decades since I first watched The Prisoner. THANK YOU.

The cut has appeared in several compilations over the years -- though, to my knowledge, never in stereo. So I'm gratified to be able to share it with others this way ... 55 years after the fact(!) ... though presumably better late than never. :)
And I agree that the music in Fall Out (and the rest of the series) is one of many elements that made it a classic. 🕵
