My mother would make a whipped jello dessert back in the 50s and 60s using carnation milk. She’d put it in the old aluminum ice cube trays without the dividers and just spoon it out for dessert. It wasn’t frozen. It looked like Sherbet in the bowl. I loved it. This looks great.

Cutting the piece from the plate was hilarious! The same thing would have happened to me. I am not always a graceful hostess. 😁

I remember having this for desert as a child. I think the only difference was it was made only with cream, and part of the plain Jello was set aside to make a clear layer on the top. We always had orange or lime flavor; the orange was like a 50/50 bar and it was really good.

Grapes68...my mom made the same recipe every holiday and I keep the tradition to this day. She used to use Dream Whip. I use heavy whipping cream instead. So, the top will be without cream and below it contains the cream. It is a family favorite so I make 2 or 3 different flavors.

I remember an instant dessert like jello called Whip N Chill. It looked just like that. Pale pink and spongey and airy when you put your spoon in. Delicious!

Always a winner. Made this for my kids and I became dad of the year. A few tablespoons of condensed milk right before blending tops this little bugger off beautifully.

I was having a look at some of your recipes and saw this my Grandma made this long ago 🥲, she was a very extraordinary lady the table she would create for the holidays were so next level and I'm talking at least 45 years ago and you better believe i am aware of how blessed I am. I tell my own children about her and my other Grandma too, because they were both equally as talented and so was my Mom and I know she would be so proud to be in the conversation too. Sorry for getting off topic, I was looking for the 3 ingredient frosting recipe, and sometimes well always when I think about Mom, she passed earlier this year, sorry for the tmi.

Hmmm... Let me watch that again and figure out how to make this keto. Not sure what to do about the sweetened condensed milk. Maybe more cream and keto sweetener to taste... There's a lot of liquid in the recipe - more than just for the jello alone, so maybe I just eliminate the scm altogether.
