    Thank you. I would like to ask you a question.
    For example; I am working with 2 videos and one is playing, the other is freezing. You told us how to do this in the end. How can we do it at the beginning?
    Am I clear?

    If you can't see the "Extend Frame" in your camtasia like me then hover your mouse over the end of a clip you wish to extend press & hold the 'option' key on your keyboard and the cursor will change to extend the frame.

      It doesn't work for me. I'll keep trying.

    It's not working- because it's not showing that windows where you can choose how long do you want the freeze to be; it's setted automatically to 1 second and it can't be changed; even when I click on duration is not doing anything, not opening anything. What can I do?

    If I extend the frame, other items like annotations or markers to the right are not shifted, so I need to redo all timing. Is that a bug or how can this be prevented?

      If you're extending the frame of a video, then that's the only media that would be adjusted, just that video. If there are annotations you'd also like to extend with it, you would have to manually extend those to the same point after you've finished with Extend Frame. It's not a bug, it's not intended to extend more than one clip at a time.

      Thank you for yor fast reply. However this is not the point. I just want to extend a frame of one one video. However adding e.g. 2 seconds shifts clips to the right by 2 seconds but not annotations to these clips. So all annotations right to the insertion get an offset/misalignment by 2 seconds.

    Hi! I tried this one, but it just extends it with 1 sec and I can't make it longer. There is no duration pop-up like in the video. And when I right click on it and click on duration nothing happens. I have Camtasia 2021.

      The Alt + Drag option helped, but I found that clue in another video. Now I see that here you also wrote that, but I concentrated on what you said (about Macs), so I missed the information about Windows on the screen.

      @@hunfun_dani Sorry you missed that the first time around, but yes, Option on Macs & Alt on Windows gets Extend Frame to cue as long as you're hovered over the end of the clip. Glad you found it, sorry for any confusion!

    How do you extend a frame that is in the middle of your clip?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Simply split the clip where you want to extend the frame, separate the (now) two clips, extend the end of the first half until you've hit your desired duration and re-stitch them! (Or just bump them back together).

      TechSmith thank you so much for the quick reply! That makes sense.

    My extend framed option is grayed out

      Make sure there's nothing after the clip you're trying to extend. If it's butted up against another clip it can't extend.

    but how to delet this

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      How to delete the extended frame? You can right-click the stitch point at which the extended frame starts and select "Unstitch Media" and then delete the frozen section.

    i don't have extend frame on mac..

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You do, it's just a little hidden. When you hover your mouse over the end of a clip you wish to extend press & hold the 'option' key on your keyboard and the cursor will change to extend the frame.

      @@techsmith unfortunately this does not happen when I try it. Camtasia 2023.

    • @techsmith

      @@MarkMcPherson1 Hmm, as long as there's space to extend your clip (no clips bumping up against it or it's not at the beginning of the timeline and yuo're trying to extend left) it should work. If you're hovering the cursor and holding "Option" or "Alt" (Win/Mac) and you're not seeing the extend frame cursor come up, that's definitely not expected.
