    The vast majority of "older vehicles" don't have a 3.5mm jack unless someone installed an aftermarket stereo. Any that I've seen, also have Bluetooth.

      Charles Eye My car has 3.5mm and no Bluetooth bought an FM transmitter and sounds like shit a lot of static. But I gave up don't want the cables for AUX port.

      So install a aftermarket headunit there is even videos how to install stereo's for your specific car

      technology productions 2017 At which point, wouldn't it be prudent to buy a head unit that already has Bluetooth capabilities? Or is that what you're implying? If so, I agree but that's hardly relevant on a video about how to make your current stereo Bluetooth capable.

      Mine does. Most cars between 2004 and 2009 seem to have 3.5mm but no bluetooth

      My car(a 2010 buick lacrosse) has bluetooth for calls only and has a 3.5mm

    Also check if the radio in your car has the option for adding a bluetooth connector or link on the back (some factory stereos will have this feature to be plugged in on the back of the unit where a multi cd box would be plugged in.) this is better and and more reliable if available.

    I have to use one that plugs into the cigarette lighter because mine is a 2000 jeep grand cherokee and is too old to even have a headphone jack or a usb outlet.

    You forgot to mention cassette bluetooth players they should make cd disc bluetooth for a cd player

  • @dagg497
    @dagg497 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    How about a Bluetooth receiver that can be connected to the CD input or cable harness on the back of a DIN socket car stereo that would be something that actually all could use!

  • @divineoracle4809
    @divineoracle4809 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    You can also use the Bluetooth receiver with a cassette deck adapter, when using the cassette deck make sure you only turn your phone up halfway and let the radio do the rest of the work (or else it'll get distorted). If you have one of the older cars that doesn't have an aux or a tape player you're sorta stuck with the FM transmitter. I've used the Bluetooth adapters in multiple cars and they always work as intended.

      Thanks for the info! Could you give some examples of cassette deck ones to buy?? I have an '05 Pilot and I really want to stream my music during long drives. Thanks!

      Honestly, I found one of my better cassettes at Target! I believe the brand is scosche, I found it back in the automotive section. The Bluetooth receiver I found was from the checkout lines at Walmart, most Walmarts have them! Don't buy a cassette from Walmart, their cassettes are trash 😭🤣

      And so much more expensive. Useless in this aspect. You should have bought a simple USB/3.5 mm jack BT receiver adapter.

    II get so tired of the obsession with streaming from the phone to to the radio I have a campervan and would just like to be able to transmit the radio or mp3 usb input to blue tooth speakers . The device has blue tooth for hands free. I am suprised that they dont supply a 3.5 audio output to connect a blue tooth transmitter. Thre are rca outputs but they are at the back of the radio mp3 head. I assume the auxillery is for input only. The reason bluetooth speakers are preferable, is you not using leisure battery power when parked with out hook up..

    none of these solutions are ideal...with the adapters especially there is static and dropouts that can even distract the driver and cause accidents..
