- "Join us as we take a closer look at a 2021 Fleetwood Flair 35R, and uncover some surprisingly risky and concerning issues that you won't believe. From the outside, this RV seemed well-maintained, but stepping inside, we were hit with a strong smell of fresh paint, hinting that something might be amiss. Our inspection revealed that the fresh paint was hiding significant damage and poor workmanship.
The once beautiful cherry cabinets were marred by a sloppy paint job, with paint residue on the floors and furniture. But the real trouble began when we discovered water intrusion at the back wall, with soft and pliable walls and floor indicating extensive damage. To make matters worse, we found hydraulic oil leaks on the hoses and frame underneath the RV.

Run, run, run away! Great inspection as always. Inspection business would be a good part time gig on the road, through and time consuming but helping a customer make wise decisions.

Thanks for another great show! That paint job scares me for two reasons.
First, they obviously never prepped the surface before painting. The prep is 90% of the work. Since it has just been painted, there is no way to know how well it will hold up.
Second, you mentioned that all you could smell was the paint. That makes me wonder what smells were in there before painting. Things like mold and mildew. Or, maybe a Breaking Bad drug lab.
It just boggles my mind that people can pay so much money for an RV and then completely trash it in 3 years.

People don’t usually do that kind of paint job on such a new unit! Arrgghh!!
Great vid, so far, our 2023 bounder has been good. That flair probably was not taken care of it the way it should have been.
That animal hair is part of their "arctic package" - extra insulation!
And we would rate that as a "fifty foot" paint job. Meaning it looks great from 50 feet away...
...I bet they didnt sand or prime the walls and cabinets proper before painting, which means the white paint will scrape off if you even sneeze in the vicinity of the wall. My guess is they let the dogs run all over the rig, so they had to paint it to cover their damage and the damage from the water intrusion.
Once an RV wall/roof gets water intrusion, it's almost impossible to dry it out without tearing the plywood off and replacing the damaged material.
Breaker tripping may be from excess draw at the slide motors, which would be from something binding up. Or it's a short in the wiring harness. C4BO FTW

Fleetwood used to be top-notch. My 1999 and my 2004 were perfect. Solid.
