- Hey you wonderful people, this is the second half of our camping trip down to the south. We headed down to a lovely (but very posh) area called Henley and the campsite we chose was a far cry from the last site we stayed at in Oxford.
We hope you enjoy our holiday vlog and I shall see you next week for another adventure.
Stay awesome and above all, be kind...

Great to meet you at Greenacres and glad to see our Renault Trafic made an appearance in the background footage. I guess you may be back up North now giving your wallet a holiday as I was even shocked in one pub where they charged £7.95 for a pint of Guiness.
Love Henley…but only for a day. Worth checking a site near Leith Hill in the Surrey Hills. Fire pits allowed and surrounded by beautiful huge forests. Etherly Farm. Great cycling on and off road. If you know the area you can wild camp in various car parks.
Michelle has the most beautiful eyes!. I love that this was very much a toilet and pooh themed vlog lolol outakes are still my favourite part ❤️
Oh my days, Hurley……. Legend status right there, oh how I laughed…
You looked very southern in your salmon pink onsonbla😂
£50 per night - and wifi extra 😳😖. Looks a nice site though. As always, very enjoyable, funny video, thank you. I always need to see the hills/mountains too. Always lovely to see you all as a family. ❤️
We went there last year and loved it although I don’t remember the self flushing loos. Henley looked nice. Take care Gill
Another grand video Mr C 👍
Good to see you and the family having a laugh together - £50 per night seems a bit steep though (but it is Down South I s’pose…)😂
Pretty kewl..We were there on 12th August and stopped at River Side Campsite at Hurley. I naively thought Henley was a short walk from us...Ended up being a 12 mile round trip..Missed the last ( only bus out to Hurley ) so had to walk it back. Loved it though.
Great Video!!!!!! Thank You
We do this nearly every year, it’s all good ! Walk into Marlow along the river, little chat with Tom Kerridge Who can often be found wondering or cycling around, some great places to eat there.
Great episode Colin. I share your annoyance of the guy who loves to take a s**t in the cubicle next to me when there’s plenty to choose from. Its like whyyyyy ffs😂
Brill video , saw my local The Angel, and my old shop,Cook.. great place .. u missed out on George Harrison’s and the hill in Turville which has the windmill from chitty chitty bang bang , Wargrave is great too and you stayed just near where James Corden has moved back too!! Hire a canoe 🛶 next time .. we often waved and saw Debbie Maggie ..Mary Berry and Russel brand and his dog bear .. the Sainsburys yiu went into in Marlow is where I saw Katy Perry queing for a paper!! 😂 loved the vid! I used to have a boat moored at Caversham and regatta time is when it’s all like you think!
Did someone say bike shop 👀. Prefer a bike shop over a book or clothes shop any day (well, i usually just stare longingly at bikes i cant afford 😆). Great video as ever, looks like you all had fun.
Very good video, we did chuckle many times. Toilet nuggets, how many people went awwwww. lol.
So tell me when are you opening the west wing of Colin towers to house the new library, how many books does Michell need.
Great vlog Colin as always! Do you reckon you could do a ‘Colin’s Campervan Cooking’ vlog…..your food looks great…..😀
Only just discovered your channel, but great videos!! Working my way through your older ones as well 😁
Awesome, welcome on board :)
Not far from Henley is Wittenham Clumps an area with a large hill you can climb up and a nice village.
Only in Henley would you spot a father and son with penny farthings, like it's the most normal thing ever! 😂 Is it also safe to say that your daughter is following the most righteous of paths down the rocker route? 🤘
The campsite by the river, and Henley both looked nice. I saw your SQ Professional in action, and I took your review of it on board and I’ve just got one. It’s brilliant 😀
Properly ace aren't they! We loved ours and even use it in the house too
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures First time using it has been in the house, on my camping stove (window open) and I made a bread and butter pudding…it was delicious 😀
09:50 Ended up in Henley once during the Regatta. It was all what you said! 🧐😂
Lockman Isle
About time you washed that sleep token t shirt 😝
Haha I realised when editing that in every video I've done recently, I've had it on 🤣🤣!
I have a confession. I've not watched for a while, you know, life and all. But, is it me or have you ramped up the the production skills from what was already good? Nicely done.
Ah thanks, that means a lot... I've made an effort to try make my videos more engaging and up the production value yep! Awesome!
Hi Colin, fellow TH-camr here........ And van owner, obviously! Your A & B roll comes over really clear, especially your A-roll, the camera seems to react/adjust very well. Would love to know what camera's you're using.
Thanks in advance,
Jon - The Ribble Valley Cyclist.
@ribblevalleycyclist hey buddy, just subscribed to your channel. How have I never seen you before? Most of my TH-cam history is cycling related 🤣🤣
So, I use a few cameras, and I'll bullet point below when and how I use them (in a nutshell)
1. Sony ZVE10 for A roll, B roll (main cam) with 12mm f2 Samyang auto focus lens
2. Dash footage - Insta 360 one RS (with Leica lens mod)
3. When out and about in rain, near water or cycling (for ease of use) I mainly use the Insta 360 One RS (with the Leica lens mod)
All edited in Premiere Pro
Hope that helps bud

Hi Bud,
Thanks for the info….. and sub. Sub returned 😉.
Watched a few of your videos now, and just love the way the camera keeps you in focus, no matter how much you move around…… and the light balance behaves itself too!!
I use an old Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ330 bridge camera for my A-Roll, because it has a mic input, and forward facing screen, but the colour balance isn’t great. Think I need an upgrade 🤣🤣🤣
B-Roll is a DJI Osmo Action 3, and an Insta360 for the fun shots 😬
Oh, and DaVinci Resolve.
Off to get a Fiamma awning fitted today…… well excited. Need to stop dicking around with the van, and get some TH-cam work done 😬
Jon
❤
Another great video as always.
Could you please tell me what make and model your inflatable tent is? Looks like an addition to the set up.
Nice
@nunderwood3685 ah thank you! It's a Vango Kella 2 air awning. It's old though, we bought ours second hand but similar ones are still available from Vango :)
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures great thanks for your quick response. I look forward to your next amazing video.
Welcome back upt north 😂
You're brave getting in the Thames. I grew up in a village next to it and we knew that was a risky manoeuvre 🤢
Haha that's why I stayed on the side and had beer instead 🤣🤣
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures very wise. Hurley would have lived up to its name 😂
Hey, your down my neck of the woods, enjoy! Can I ask what camping chairs you have?
Hey, awesome.... They are a cheap brand called URPRO from amazon... not bad for the £35 price tag :)
Lovely Col. but why does the price rise the further south you go. Keep north for me mate. The scenery is better & the people are far friendlier
Completely agree... But there are some great places AND the bus drivers were chatty and nice :)
Is that lizz hurleys camp site dint no she was that skint 😂
I’m so glad you didn’t have a genuine jet boil, as a fellow Yorkshireman I would be disgusted if you spent that kind of money to boil water.
I thought about getting a genuine one, then 30 seconds later I bought a cheap one 🤣🤣
You say Henley wasn't what you expected a bit like Devon Cornwall not what
I expected ìI have been many times but I was expecting people to talk with cornish accent and pubs selling cider (scrumpy) but neither.
14:32 🤥
not posh? yet you filmed a dad and son pushing their penny farthings about town at 7:24? It be bad enough seeing the dad, but the son too - on a matching little bike?
@@davidwilliams2474 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Henley is not a place for a ”frugal” Yorkshireman!!!
I'm fully aware of that now 🤣🤣🤣!
