My experience was similar, I have a shorthair brit girl blue/lilac tabby (Kiki) 1.5 years who is very independent and doesn't like cuddles, which I was a bit disappointed. Just got a brit long haired blue boy, Georgie (12 weeks). He is very different from Kiki, he's a lap cat, follows me like a puppy, he and loves affection. They love playing together. I got Georgie for the same reason as you, because I wish I got 2 at the same time.
I came across your first video yesterday as we will be picking up our new British Shorthair tonight. We lost our Tabby last week and my son suggested another, to help mend my broken heart. I thought it was too soon but then couldn't get it out of my mind. So here we are, I'm excited. Love Gigi and now Mylan. You taught me allot and I ordered some new stuff from Amazon as you suggested. Will keep watching ❤❤
I had two beautiful British short hair cats, two brothers, one Grey and the other White & Grey. They were rescue cats and we had them both from approx 9 months old. The grey one we called Harry he was a big boy and so very very affectionate wanted to be picked up and constantly cuddled, proper lap cat. And the white one with grey tail and ears we called George, George was smaller and more timid and only wanted cuddles on his own terms. They both were beautiful and were our fur babies for years, Harry 10 years and George 12 years. The vet told me that they weren’t as independent as the normal moggie and needed more attention as they didn’t stray. And true to his word ours stayed in the house and garden and never attempted to jump the fence very happy to just lay in the sunshine and watch the birds in the trees…. I miss them both dreadfully 😢
Love to see your furbabies - they're both so beautiful. I've had many cats over the years and each one has had a different personality - we're down to the last one now who is definitely a daddy's boy 😀

I'm picking up my new kitten at the end of January. I have a 6 year old tortishell cat and we are getting a little boy that is 3/4 maine coon! I can't wait! He's going to be my little fluff ball 😍 I'm definitely a cat person I would have lots if I could ❤️

i use worlds best litter at its brilliant. I wont use anything with clay in it and its very kind on their paws. Its more expensive but i only change it once every three weeks. Im very particular so i empty the tray everytime he uses it.

We have two cats a Ragdoll and Norwegian Forrest. The Norwegian Forrest started getting very fussy with litter tray and would pee on floor in f there was any💩in it. We got a PETKIT Pura Max last month and it has solved the problem. May be worth considering if your not kean on the litter boxes
Would recommend a smart feeder, it’s £100 and it’s the best feeder I’ve ever got! Catit pixi smart feeder! It’s amazing 👍🏾 you can schedule meals and portions

I used to breed BSHs and my advice is not to use wood pellet litter - it tracks everywhere!! Once wet, it sticks to their fur, in between their paw pads and it will drive you potty. I found 'Yesterday's News' (if it is still called that) or any paper based pellets to be the best for cleanliness, odour control, and absorbency.
@@WHK1-e4icats like to be very clean and be able to bury their waste so do not like sharing toilet space. Because mine were entire (not neutered) and therefore more hormonal, I used to always have one tray more than the number of cats, so if I had four cats then I'd provide five trays.

We got a British longhair just over a year ago and I can’t believe how completely obsessed I am with him 😂 I would love to know how you stop them getting outside when you come and go from the house, that is my one worry with our cat as he is an indoor cat too x
I’m moving into a brand new construction home with beautiful hardwood floors. I just bought two shorthair kittens that will be ready (4 months) in late September. Does anyone know if these cats will scratch your floors or baseboards are ruin anything in your house? Also, can they be trained to only use scratch poles. We would never declaw cats! I know you can clip nails down. I have fingers crossed that this breed won’t scratch my floors, or doors, walls and baseboards. Please let me know.

Most Cuddley Cat’s Ever. I have a 1 year old British Blue Girl, shes a big part of the family❤️however they are not lap cats.

So I got my 2nd bsh recently, boy first girl second, and for me it's the opposite. My new girl meows for me and my boy is happy away from us lol

Bit late but..The cat wont ruin your floor however it will ruin sofas and leather stuff
