As a biology professor myself, I approve this video. The role of entropy in the folding of macromolecules is so important and often completely overlooked.

I 've learned and understanded almost all the concept of biochemistry but not only the folding funnel; NOW I finally know what causes protein folding. Thanks for your great video.

This was fabulously interesting explanation for protein folding thermodynamics. From beginning these kind of entropy questions bother me until I realized these can be learned in easy way. Thank you so much :)

Very nice session…one quick question which might be a silly one…..Does W represent the possibility of multiple way of arrangement of molecules and energy or is it when the molecule and energy actually take those various position ?

Can we say, The entropy of unfolded protein is high compared to folded state.(only protein, leaving the system)
But if we consider the folding process then we have to include system as well. It's because of system entropy increase during folding of protein molecules.
