Driver Facing cameras? Daum it! It's just another way to micromanage drivers. Driving used to be fun, (Not So Much These Days.) Can't imagine having the whole company's office staff in the truck with me. 24/7. I tell you what, let us drivers set up cameras in the company's employees' bedrooms. 😮. #(IT'S ALL ABOUT PRIVACY)🎉 💯
These people on this video are shills for the trucking companies. My company just put inward-facing cameras in the trucks outward-facing they don't have them just inward-facing so I quit. And good riddance to the trucking companies.
As a driver I am not pleased with having an instrument pointed at me 24/7 that records everything I do and every sound I make. I can’t have a private conversation inside my truck, I can’t have any privacy at all as long as that device is connected to the trucks battery and can be remotely turned on and off without my knowledge and consent. Who wants that? Who is okay with having a camera that can watch and listen to them in their most private areas of their life, their bedroom, kitchen, living room and yes, sometimes bathroom? No one wants to be watched and listened to 24/7!
I am driver in a big company i feel like 2024 freight is low that camera is a tool to rid of drivers it picks minor mistakes . It makes driving more depressing .
Where exactly did they get even slim percentages of drivers saying something positive about cameras facing the driver? I haven’t met a single one yet. These people are bending the truth with their survey information to get the answers they want.
Another way to tell you you don't deserve a raise even though what you're doing never led to an accident. Deny raises and keep a bigger bonus for themselves.
Yes, they can watch you for any reason. Nothing is right about this. I had one fellow driver tell me management told him to quit eating M&Ms while driving. The messaged him that on the tablet.
Definitely why no one wants to drive anymore. I drove mixers until I quit. I went to a “safety” meeting and spoke up. I got kicked out of the meeting for standing up for another drivers safety concern. At the meeting I had the next morning I told them I wouldn’t have spoken up if I wasn’t already planning to quit. And then I quit. No notice.
An inside camera and microphone won’t bring back somebody who died in an accident. It’s an invasion of privacy and it’s not why we all came into Trucking . We came into Trucking to be free and not work in a cubicle atmosphere.
People okay with having cameras facing them is the problem. If everyone would just avoid working for these types - the problem will eventually fix itself.
So how about when companies just fire you for the driver camera? Was anyone surveyed on that? It's ok, I guess. Last company that did this to me then lost their contract with their client. Because they couldn't keep enough trucks on the road. They kept firing drivers. I hope it causes them to go belly-up. I'm now more serious than ever about becoming an owner-op. I just don't need this level of hassle in my life.
Hey Tim, how about we stop bringing your groceries. There is no expectation that we should help take care of you. Grow a garden, raise your livestock, make your own clothes. Don’t stick your head in a noose without an expectation.
I'm out. I left last month due to micromanaging and severe adversarial atmosphere. Hirschbach is a bad company with executives and managers that don't care for the driver. They view drivers as expendable and there will be another sucker to fill the seat. BTW I was in the industry for over 30 years. I'm done.
It's one sided out here. Car drivers, camper drivers, and rental box trucks. All they need is a regular driver license and they have no idea about stopping distance, more weight takes longer to stop, not over loading the gross weight. It needs to be a two way street not a one way.
Canada Ruled That Driver Facing Cameras Were An Invasion Of Privacy. Why Doesn't The U.S.A Come To That Same Common Sense Conclusion. My Company Has A Driver Facing Camera & Not Only Do They Hear Every Intimate Conversation I Have. The Company Is Also Able To Hold Conversations With Me While The Truck Is On Or In Accessory Ignition. Mode.I
In my working career I have various levels of safety training and most has been beneficial to me and those I worked with. The one area that never seemed to be of help was electronic monitoring of employees. More common than not the electronic data was misinterpreted and the employee was wrongly disciplined and a no win hostel work environment developed. I have always benefited from good safety training. I'm retired now but I still follow safety practices in my daily activities. Don't drive distracted, Keep awareness of of the road and traffic around you. Inspect equipment prior to, during and after use. Find a defect get it fixed. Safety is important but I don't believe a driver facing camera is a good choice in most cases.
This product is a total joke. As if my work didn’t already cause anxiety now they install this thing to cause total anxiety all day long. All the time. I don’t agree with products that invades peoples privacy, especially with artificial intelligence. Talk about putting all the drivers on edge all the time. I get it if everyone in the company gets a camera, but if you discriminate and only install them in one department of the company then it’s a problem.
It's beautiful when companies that have driver facing cameras get sued and lose cases because their driver facing cameras are used as evidence against them.
Oh God.. Some your data is deceitful.. Nobody wants driver facing cameras.. Ask the simple question.. Do you want a camera facing you at all times.. The answer is no.. Do you like a camera on your face at all times.. I doubt it.. Fwd facing cameras are exceptable because you can cover it when your not driving.. You are complicating the issue.. I except fwd facing I unplug it when I want and I disable the mic and the speakers..
The company I drive for has had drivers and road facing cameras. We was informed our samsara cameras will be updated soon to an A.I camera system however there are four updates that have happened and we weren’t informed. The A.I system isn’t a fair monitoring system and leaves open a large window for favoritism and double standards. One of the drivers told me he was driving down the road and dropped an article on the floor board. He reached down to pick it up and the A.I reported him. He had another incident where he saw something out his drivers door window and was looking at it for more than 8 seconds. The system started coaching him about distracted driving. The voice scared him, he jerked the wheel thinking someone was in the tractor with him. The A.I sent an event message to our safety. We now have drivers job hunting and refusing to drive with a A.I watching them.
Ya there is no reward for good this is all bs and about controlling. These cameras take away good judgment. Why look just let the cameras tell you it makes lazy drivers.
I find it extremely difficult to believe that any driver finds DFC a good thing, I call Bravo Sierra. As far as I'm concerned it's their truck, if they want DFC's that's their call but they're going to need another driver to watch, I have three other professions I can fall back on.
I'm a driver and I'm all for it. The cameras will stop a lot of dumb crap drivers do behind the wheel of a semi. If you get fired for watching TH-cam while driving, you should take that information with you to your next job interview. I watched a video the other day of a driver crash into a lady that broke down on the highway. He was looking at his phone for an astounding 4 seconds just before impact. Hit her car at 64 mph and she died. I see drivers with their phones in hand all day long on my short trips back and forth. The multimillion dollar law suits won't stop until the drivers fix their behavior 👈 you know they won't, so someone has to fix it for them.
@@Swoop180 . Oh great, I've been insulted by a 13 year old, lemme call the suicide hotline. If you don't understand the logic of someone's comment, just ask for it to be explained in depth or ignore it. Childish insults just make you look, well, childish. Thank you for your service BTW 😁
I will not work for a company with cameras facing drivers. Driving in general is no longer a job I want to do. I hope more and more people stop driving for companies with these cameras. Before I even consider working for a company soliciting my labor I ask if they have these cameras.
Wouldn't be a problem if your company does use it micro manager and write you up for stupid shit like me today getting wrote up for looking at my dash for a dew seconds setting my cruise control with noone around me
We dont need cameras we need a truck that will drive itself and just need the driver to tell it where to go and to sign paperwork. You can put the cameras on the truck for sight seeing across the country side.

What about sound and why do they have to have the damn curtains closed. I have this shit in my work truck. It’s not even a truck. It’s a freaking small work van. It’s an invasion of privacy, listening to everything you say, and do the whole time you’re in an out in this van all day long. You cannot have any conversations while you’re driving or off the clock with your friends or family.😮 is absolute bullshit. I will cover it up and make sure they can’t hear a word I say. They can view the road if they want to and that’s it.🙈☠️🔥😡
When do I get a camera in the CEOs office?
Driver Facing cameras? Daum it! It's just another way to micromanage drivers. Driving used to be fun, (Not So Much These Days.) Doesn’t Crete have front facing cameras ?
In Canada druve faced camera that record audio is illegal
Treating employees like criminals.
No driver likes cameras period. This video is baloney!
Exactly
Reality!
Not one single person. Only people that do like them are the chair sitters in a A/C office 8 hours of the day

Yes, driving is a miserable job.
They can give you a smaller raise and increase their annual bonuses.
Where exactly did they get even slim percentages of drivers saying something positive about cameras facing the driver? I haven’t met a single one yet. These people are bending the truth with their survey information to get the answers they want.
This evaluation was ifnorant there is no good that comes from invading my privacy period
Oppression and harassment comes in many ways, shapes and forms....
Nobody should work for a company with driver facing cameras
Didnt hear a single benefit of a DFC here. Not one.
Still no good reasons to have them.
Those watching employees, must have cameras in their faces. Strictly speaking, it is un American.
Another way to tell you you don't deserve a raise even though what you're doing never led to an accident. Deny raises and keep a bigger bonus for themselves.
It will cost trucking companies big $$$ if the driver-facing videos enhance the insurance companies' ability to deny claims.
This is so uncomfortable especially for woman who need privacy and not their pervert manager watching

Stop saying cameras. It's a surveillance system
I’m sick and tired of Driving Facing Cameras! Nothing is positive about it! How the hell do you shut the cameras voice down or off?
I punched one once for talking. I’ve got enough stress. Adding the robot woman voice to it was just too much.
Opportunity to get your company a lawsuit when the driver is at fault . Bring all that evidence to court

Hell with the insurance companies they are pushing this crap
How about a led light indicating someone watching or listening
I have wondered that also
This creates disgruntled employees

AMERIKA!
Everyone thinks they are great till they have to sit in front of them all day. They can prove the company and driver guilty just as easy as innocent.
SCREW THAT!!!!!!!!
This was bullshit propaganda
Does this guy talking, have a camera in his car, so he can be under surveillance ?
Hansen & Adkins Auto transport is now installing driver facing cameras in their trucks.

What alert went off when you where doing this? Or do they record your entire trip?
@donaldwhoskins it's ai that watches you your whole trip 🙄 thing will flag u if your eyes don't move every 4 seconds it's fucking crazy
Driver are not in charge. Witch was first the need to transport goods, and services or a truck driver. It is loss prevention.
We dont need cameras we need a truck that will drive itself and just need the driver to tell it where to go and to sign paperwork. You can put the cameras on the truck for sight seeing across the country side.
Mostly bs period
Celebrate the driver and pay more money
Lies
