In Chris McFeely’s Basics on Scourge it looks like his target master didn’t have a handle and he held him with both hands instead. But if they’re going to add a handle it should fit in his hand. Thanks for the in depth review Paik it’s very much appreciated.
Yeah folks showed me a screen shot of that too. I don’t know why they logically go that route. Does that mean the eventual toy deco will have a different handle to be your accurate gun holding? Lol

Great review! For getting under those shoulder pieces to untab them: rotate the arms upside-down, and then there's much more space.
Not only is the Nebulan too big (as usual) but he can't even hold it?! Wow. Epic fail.
And yet these FT fanboys are gushing all over it. Costs way more and it's flawed just enough to question the price. Considering how long ago the XTB version came out, this should have been perfect.

Just like with their Huffer, they designed the transformation with the legs going the opposite way around than the traditional transformation. Quite a strange design choice.
Wow, so you had this figure all the way back in the 16 of January, Paik. I got mine only today - and I pre-ordered it a long time ago and paid the balance as soon as I got the notification. It's funny how much time difference there can be in getting the same figure between two different buyers.
I don't understand why your Targetmaster's handle looks like that. The handle halves are clearly longer in my version, and the tabs are at their end - not in the middle of them. So the handle's tab reach Inquisitor's hand slot just fine, although the grip is still not especially firm.
Anyway, thanks for the detailed transformation once again. It was most helpful in getting through all the tedious phases.
The later runs of this figure came with the fix. Also FT sent out the fix to retailers in the form of replacement parts. So in this case getting your figure later was a good thing!

Yeah toy dojo just sent me those parts too. I haven’t tried to install them yet though

45:50 Nice weapon storage. pity that official Hasbro versions don't have a central storage area like this. And, I've always thought that the original design of Scourge in vehicle mode was aquatic. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks this.
As always I'm so impressed by your impeccable transformation guides. So well articulated and thorough. Regarding the figure, I'm excited for this guy. Looks gorgeous in both modes and I actually enjoy a complicated transformation as long as it doesn't break as a result. I'm curious if those gap fillers on the feet improve stability. That target master seems like a complete failure, though. It's basically incompatible with both modes. Such a weird oversight for Fans Toys. Seems like FT aught to replace that handle and have a mod for him to mount correctly in alt mode. So weird. Regardless, thanks again for the great videos, Paik!

Only 6 mins in as of this comment, but the bottom of the feet look like there may be a heel spur that can fold out. Am I seeing things?
Saw that too. The Ofc FT video shows that tab folded in but looks like it might be optional.
I mention it later when someone asked the same thing. It’s not the official heel but you can use it as additional support.
No comparison with SS86 Scourge? Be nice to see how he stacks up against a retail figure.

No because Hotspot is estimated April and Inquisitor is already released.
Not according to BBTS as this guy comes out in January and April is Ignis. I've got both on pre-order so I'm hoping to get a invoice soon from ShowZstore. Might have to cancel a couple of orders as I've got 3 orders that's literally going to ship at about the same time and I don't want to spend $400 - $500 on toys at one time.
just started the review, it looks from an angle that thier might be heel spurs you could possibly flip out? im only 10 mins in so far so you may find them or not lol
Those are not official heel spurs but you can use it as such if you’d like
First time I couldn’t get the flight stand on at all. Second time and I can’t get it to clip on the front part, but it is on there and could be used if needed. Second time I got the part for the head to the waist tabbed but still not working out well. No idea why. Other than that good figure and good paint looks good on the shelf next to Galvatron and Cyclonis. Transformation is t as bad as I thought it would be.
Weird. If you tabbed in the head panel with the waist you shouldn’t have issues with the flight stand. Not sure how else to help 😢
@@Paik4Life not like I would ever use it. Like everything lines up but it does not hold on the over under tab at all. Seems like it does but if you move it at all it just releases. Just posting if anyone else has the same issue, they know they are not alone. Thanks again bud.
You forgot to fold out the heel spur.
That’s not the official transformation but as I mentioned a couple times you can use it as heel spur optionally.

He looks great typical FT quality material, and finish. The target master peg that’s a bizarre oversight on their part considering they’ve released four other figures with targetmasters so they should have engineered that better.
If I had the space and finances I would have bought three or four of these for a swarm but I’m happy with one copy that should be here this week, looking forward to completing the movie decepticon trio.

What's becoming my main gripe with these releases is articulation. Why are FT not going the extra mile when Newage and MS are cramming tonnes into legends scale figures?
Surely it's easier to get more articulation in MP scale?!
I think the challenge is that it’s not one to one scale up right? On larger figures you can’t just rely on certain types of engineering for joints so you need to incorporate more parts and different types of engineering and that takes more space, more weight, more complexity, more tuning. It’s the basics of square cube law.
@@Paik4Life I get mostly FT for my MPs but I do have Takara’s Trailbreaker and that has awesome articulation!

@@antonb348 I think that might have to do with it as TB has like no weight in comparison but also a design choice by FT. Just as Apple mindfully chooses not to incorporate certain desired features based on either their vision or based on what their specific customers find desirable. This articulation on Inquisitor is a lot less WTF than like Goose aka Zoolander (can only turn right). But maybe most of their fans don’t care about high articulation because they just pose in a standing position and don’t even transform often. Unfortunately we will likely never know!
@@Paik4Life yeah when I explain to people the difference between Takara and FT I use TB and FT Tesla as they’re the same size and Tesla is completely covered in paint and weighs like 3x as much as TB.
It’s pretty insane when you hold and feel them both, and they’re about the same price!
Wow, a recommendation even though he can't stand, can't hold the target master, limited elbow articulation and frustrating transformation ,only a Fanstoys can get away with it
I think the elbow articulation is good especially for an elbow joint.
The targetmaster thing is super weird but not a huge deal for me as a whole.
The standing part is partly FTs fault and partly me non level review area part but his backpack does definitely make him back heavy.
Overall while the transformation is complex, it’s better than many of their other figures. I hated it the first time too but after doing it a couple times it’s long but not difficult or frustrating.
My recommendation is mostly based on the fact that it looks and feels great in both modes. In comparison to the aging Andras I prefer it in my collection due to the aesthetics and overall quality. That said, I definitely don’t blame folks who want to pass for any of the reasons you mentioned. It’s also a lot of money for a figure with a lot of what I consider minor flaws.

As a regu-lurker, I think part of the reason people might have expressed distaste at the comparison fee is that your humour is often delivered in a very dry manner. Newer viewers might not realize there is a joke at play, as they think you are completely serious. Anyways, great video!

The target master was a total afterthought 🤦🏽♂️. He can’t weld it in either mode ?! 😒
Even if afterthought, it's such a minor part (handle) that they could have easily engineered something better.

Looks nice but...doesn't look very stable (heavy backpack), can't hold target master on either mode, no landing gear for alt mode, doesn't come with stand, articulation is below average...I'll wait until it's on sale 😂

@Paik4Life I really enjoy some of the FT figures, but not this time. They had plenty of time to improve on what xtb had done and give us more than just great looks. It will go on sale at some point. I just gotta be patient 😌

I tend to agree that their transformations just seem to be needlessly complex at times. The targetmaster tab and “alt mode” storage confuses the hell out of me.

@@sw1000xg I really enjoy their Blaster I think its right up there with their Gears release, avoided powerglide and till recently Jazz and that thing is a nightmare! transformed once and already scratched paint. Looks phenomenal in bot mode, probably one the best bot mode sculpts they've done but for the price I should be able to enjoy the transformation. like what's the point of a transformer if you cant transform it?!
