I just got a new in box Herbie Fully Loaded 1:6 RC. The NiMh battery works but for maybe 5 minutes. I was wondering if there is a way to upgrade the battery on this. I have the pack opened already and was wondering if I can swap out the internal batteries for lithium ones to match the same voltage.
I have a whole tote of these battery packs the green ones. I have 9.6 12.8 and 6.4 and I never thought about posting them or selling them because I thought people were on to the USB chargeable ones now!
Those pack cells peak out at 3.7 not 3.2 like they say, I just tested one fully charged when I took the mustang apart the other day. So at max charge a 3s 9.6 pack would be 3.7v x 3 which is 11.1v, so I'm thinking 9.6v is the minimum amount of voltage the truck/car will effectively run on.
And if that's the case then the 12.8 cars may hold 14.8v lipo pack, my red Colorado in my avatar has a 7.5v receiver board in it and takes the 200mah 7.4 2s pack well but the 6v board I tried my 400mah 7.4v eflite 2s pack on fried, I've only two lithium NB receivers as if yet, the madzilla, which I took the FETs off of for my xmod and The 12.8v wolf pro I got tonight. I wanna swap that receiver and wolf rear axle into my baha buggy with a 11.1v 3s pack so I should be ok there as far as not over powering the receiver.
I just went and tested the same cell from last week, still at 3.3v, same as yours it says 3.2v on the side. Fresh out of the charger, it read 3.7v when I was disassembling the car.
ive got a couple 1/15 scale trucks, 1 takes 5 aa regular batteries so i hooked up a simple 9.6 volt rechargeablle soft battery pack made for new brights ran it a couple seconds indoors &smelled the motor getting hott. the voltage diffrence isnt that much difference.
I need a charger for the 12.8 v new bright. we lost it on a move. u know a way I can do it? I read somewhere u can connect a USB to a computer then otherwise to battery and it will even notify me when its done. but there wasn't a video. it was the DIY website.
I would try to connect a female tamiya connector with electrical tape to the battery and get a new charger that can charge 14.4v lithium batteries to charge it. That is a big investment though. Your best choice would be to buy used new bright 12.8v charger from ebay, kijiji, craigslist. If you try the usb method and leave it too long charging the battery might explode! here is the guy th-cam.com/video/iCrBMbmPx4A/w-d-xo.html
I need to replace a single one of those red 3.2v cells from the 9.6v pack that went bad. I think it is a 15500 cell, but i cannot find one with both the + and - pins on top like these are. Any body know what these are called or where to find one at?
Hi, i have just found my old H2 hummer, i have the battery pack and the remote, but no chager and some folks are asking like 50 bucks, plus postage to the UK, so that a no go. so do you have any suggestions on how i could doctor something after market up. i rooted the hummer out of the shed for my little boy, i hardly ever used it to be honest, when i had daughters first..lol if you have any ideas i would be very grateful of your knowledge.. cheers
only really need the charger.. i need to get in the lofy theres a ton of stuff up there it could be there.. been looking at other cars for my boy and you can get a cheap RC car of fleabay for less than 40 quid brand new.. but i honestly really appreciate the offer. cheers.
Yeah, that's what happened to mine. I've got a RC grave digger from New bright and stopped using it for over 2 years and now that I wanna play with it it doesn't wanna crank up bc of that.
Those big new bright battery packs with 8 AA batteries don't exist anymore sadly 😢. Does anybody know how to charge a nimh 9.6v battery pack without charger? I need for my classic Rc car

To the wall? It doesn't matter.

how did you opendem?
the pack is glued together I had to use a flat screwdriver and pry it open. to make it easier maybe use acetone to dissolve the glue first.
How did you open it?
with a flat head screwdriver. it's glued together so you would have to glue it together again.
Don’t let those batteries discharge you’ll never get them back up
Yeah, that's what happened to mine. I've got a RC grave digger from New bright and stopped using it for over 2 years and now that I wanna play with it it doesn't wanna crank up bc of that.
14500 is very close but voltage is 3.7 vs 3.2, I bet they could be used.
Love Nicd Battery packs 😍

Где можно купить такой Аккумулятор?
Como montar a caixa de direção
can i replace a higher battery on the 6v batt?
You risk burning the motor if the car can only take 6volt.
How much is the mAh for each LiPo battery (3.2V and ?mAh)?
I think they are 500mAh
Solder is pronounced as: 'sodder'. The 'L' is silent. Not trying to be rude, it was just bothering me during the video. Lol
That's weird when the origin of the word is to make solid. Thanks for watching!
Dallas Bauer it depends on what country you live in. In Britain they pronounce it sol-der.
ok cool I'm Canada.
