As someone who can't have my dog run with me anymore, this brought a tear to my eye, there's literally nothing better than sharing a bike ride with your dog, cherish it while you can. Go Maya ❤️
Ah man, sorry to hear that! Definitely enjoying being out together while we can but also not pushing too hard so hopefully she can shred for a long time! - Jason
😢I hear you. My 13 year old Shiba has shared many a ride with me now he can’t keep up and struggles with steeps, he learned so well and was so much fun, we can still hike, I can’t wait to train a border collie to trail ride😊
Riding with my dog was how I got into mountain biking! I was looking for a way to tire her out and landed on mountain biking. 13 years later it’s been a great journey but sadly had to put her down last year. Her hips were causing her issues from all that running but I wouldn’t change it for the world and I know she wouldn’t either. 13 years is a great life so I’m super thankful. Hopefully, you have just as long with yours.
Absolutely love the videos, love the bike and love the dog… cant wait to get back out on the slash this spring Hopefully i can try a new fuel ex this spring
I have a 2 year old Border Collie & I exercise him around the neighborhood on my bike every morning. Usually he’s strapped with bungee cord since he cannot control himself when he sees other livestock. I used to run with him but since I can no longer run average 11mph for 1/2hr I do this every morning. Haven’t taken him out in MTB trails yet but seems pretty cool
Did you have to train her to be so good off leash or was it just natural for her to wanna stick around? My dog would be running into the sunset to start a new life if I ever let him off leash.
Haha! A little bit of both. She was pretty naturally good when she was young but we spent a good amount of time working on recall and sticking to the trail. - Jason
You've done it now; Beautiful Daughter already asks every few days if you have a new video; when she finds one that includes bikes and dogs, I think she may explode...
Great video. Unfortunately the X3 video is just not up to par with current video standards. You can clearly see the difference between your true 4k video and the upscaled X3 video. For this camera or any other 360 camera to be used for professional content creators it needs to be at least produce 4k 60 fps video when reframed. This would mean the cam would need to shoot 2, 4k videos (front and rear cam). Most action cams currently can shoot 6k 120 fps. I don’t know that the 360 cameras can catch up. By the time they can shoot 4k 60 fps , 8k 60 will be standard. I personally would opt for a larger physical size 360 camera that shoots 4k 60 (reframed) instead of a smaller cam that produces 1080p 30 fps. But there is more market with for vloggers who produce content for phones then content for 4k screens. Thus I don’t think they will catch up any time soon.
Agreed. I don't enjoy watching this 360 videos. Lower quality footage and I personally do not enjoy the overly distorted point of view. It is interesting for a few seconds but more than that it is not pleasant to watch. Insta360 is definitely doing a good job of poaching creators away from GoPro. Too bad. I think a dedicate GoPro is better at capturing MTB POV footage.
The nice thing about the X3 is that it's single lens mode is 4k and looks very, very good. I'm not sure why Jason didn't use that setting for this, but oh well, I enjoyed it either way!
Ride with a dog make a dog so happy and his owner too👌 Mine in the first ride was looking at me like... Oh we can run together now?!😄 And I got an Altitude powerplay that goes 32kph she better get ready to commute!😎
Honestly, i worship the perfection and grace Animals have. They live life on natures terms. They are just like us but have no Ego! We are insane and believe what our minds tell us?? And the human mind didnt evolve to lead us! It is a tool designed to help us navigate the natural world!
I cannot leave my dog behind no way her face ! She brings her ball as well and she’s great for camera shots as I ride past , the pov is not up for much maybe slomo 🙃🙏
Baby steps! I didn't take her riding until she was around a year old but in the time before that we worked a lot on dialling in recall at home, at the dog park, and in the woods. Lots of treats and encouragement helps! For the biking I took her on many mellow rides with a long leash to start and then slowly transitioned to 100% off leash. Be patient, it takes time for sure but it is super rewarding in the end. Good luck! - Jason
With a trail dog does she want to come with you every time she see’s you get the bike out? I’m looking for a trail dog but worried every time I grab the bike it will think it will be going as well and some rides don’t allow dogs
Just curious, how many miles can you and your dog ride on average? I can imagine the descents really take it out of him, but do you ever notice callouses or blisters on the paws? Does she hit a ceiling at a certain point?
It always depends on trail choice, temperature, etc but on average I'd say no more than 4-5 miles. I try to choose trails that aren't super hard pack, full of features, or super busy as well. Hope that helps! - Jason

OMG, I agree. I had a golden that would ride with me, she was the best. I believe she's in Valhalla now, napping and running trails for eternity.
Try watching, shimano a dogs tale, I lost my trail dog 2 yrs now black lab called Storm, any weather, any time, any trail,

This was thoroughly enjoyable. Maya was SENDING it!
Something special about watching a doggo haulin ass down hill! ❤❤❤
Need more Maya on the trail videos. What's better than a beautiful dog and mtb riding? Nothing, that's what. Excellent content.
That made me smile. Riding with doggos is the best.
yall really dont get enough recognition for these videos. these are some of the best photography and mtb shots ive ever seen
Absolutely love the videos, love the bike and love the dog… cant wait to get back out on the slash this spring

Big shoutout to you guys, you’ve created a real cinematic masterpiece combined with comedy and mtb
I'm so addicted to MTB dog vids. The unmitigated JOY that these dogs show just makes my day.
I really like the editing and how this video was composed. It would be cool to see more dog pov in a future video!
Very nice video 👍riding with your dog is the best way to spend time 🙂
I have a Corgi that goes on trail rides with me now for 2 years. She loves watching videos like this.
Love to hear how you trained her to ride with you
Great video! Nothing I love more than spending time with my fur buddy.
this was just an excuse to film some BEAUTIFUL footage... GOOD SHIT
Pleasantly surprised by the Brook & The Bluff thrown in there for a nice touch!
I wish my dog could do this
Great video! So cool to see how much fun Maya was having!
Very nice and warm video!)
More Maya please, could watch dogs ‘ride’ trails forever 🥰
One of the best mountain biking/cycling channel with the addition of Maya it will be the G.O.A.T channel
I loved taking my little dog to lower Fromme trails it’s the best. Going to miss riding with him there!
Thanks for uploading this video. My German shepherd is now too old to go on mountain bike rides with me. Enjoy your time together.
My dog loved to run while I rode. I got scared once because he followed me down ladder section on a steep decent. They sure have no fear.

She's a great dog. Happy trails. 👍
I adopted a 1.5 year old dog about 4 weeks ago, we are in the depths of winter here in Ontario but this is my springtime goal! So rad!
Not too wintery though!
@@FreshwaterFloof Speak for yourself, we got 5 ft of snow over christmas. Im not in southern ontario.
Love this. Beautifully shot. You're inspiring me to film more trail rides with my dog. I've picked up a used 360 that I'll be using for pooch pov.
Love this! I have a sheltie blue merle, but she's pretty small so it's hard for her to keep up. 😁
My 1.5 year old loves this video “bikes. Running. Puppy. Maya” is what she says for the whole video!
Maya is beautiful and talented, I loved her jumps ❤ this was great, thanks for making this.

Same with my dog. But I love him anyways.
Lol peace bra 😅
Dude that's dope. also your dog is damn adorable
This has made a dreary Friday much less dreary. Thanks Maya!
that dog is epic!
Fun edit! A good trail dog is a treasure...Maya is a friggin' diamond!
this is great!! what kind of dog is she?
Such a cutie! ❤
This is so wholesome 🥰
Maya SENT IT! 💨
now that's a badass camera setup
Home is not a home with out a dog. She is one lucky doggie, she's beautiful.
Man, I’m so relived that I’m not the only one talking to my dog with an almost Gollum-like voice. 😂
Maya getting air is awesome 👍🤣
Rob and Claudio watching this: "Have you seen those inside lines!? She's on the shortest way down this mountain!"
awesome dude
This did not disappoint!

How precious💗
@@mahalomydude Just remembered; we're giving her a new bike this weekend as well.
When your dog's a faster shredder than you...hahah Solid edit, the content we're really all here for.
Maya and Jane seem like buds. Jane’s a 3 y/o lab-collie that can go all day and prefers to be out front. Smart girls.
shes so cute :D
Always picking great music 👌🏼
Maya and Fern both look like Border Collie/Heeler crosses.

Really hoping to figure out how to train your dog to this so when I get another GSD sometime this year I can have a riding buddy.
Nothing beats a trail dog....
Good girl Maya!! 🐾
What a lucky dog! (Maya, too. 😉)
Would like more Maya pov.
Reminds me of the Bentley segment from accomplice!
I have the x3 and it is like magic!
Mans best friend
should feature her more!

Maya and Jason for the win!
You guys neeeeed to make a maya trail dog shirt
She's the best doggo!
Love it ❤️
HI MAYA!!!! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Wonderful dog! I do everything with my German wirehaired pointer! What size fuel you riding J?
I think border collies and Malinois are the best and biggest athletes in the dog world. Border collies energy levels are through the roof.
Unfortunately all the riding where I am is national park and dogs are not allowed, otherwise I would be down. Looks super comfy
Jason my son is your biggest fan! you bike with him on Whistler..
I cannot leave my dog behind no way her face ! She brings her ball as well and she’s great for camera shots as I ride past , the pov is not up for much maybe slomo 🙃🙏

This is so cute
There is nothing better.
Matt, were these shot on vintage lenses? Some of the shots have that feel.
Maya shreds!!
How do your dogs pads go ?
Mine is getting sore feet , I think it’s the rock gardens
That's one tired dog after all that.
Some say doggo is still sleeping… 🐶 💤
this made me so happy my cheeck hurt
I love how Jason wears his helmet in the car

Lesson learned: the most advanced two-wheel drive with a very capable rider just can’t keep up with a simple form of a 4-wheel ride when off-roading😅
adorable.
that's it.
that's the comment.
Geniales tomas y Maya muy linda y ajisosa 🌶️
