I literally cracked up in the movie theater when I watched this scene because their Cantonese accents are horrendous! It also didn't help that whoever wrote the script used really formal Cantonese so it's a bunch of tough mafia guys saying the equivalent of, "I order you to check that satchel!"

The mob guy didn't understand anything Jack Nicholson's character was saying until he said "No tickey, no laundry." It just goes to show that cultural sensitivity and learning a few phrases in another person's language can go a long way.
I love the aggression that Jack and the Chinese mobster have towards each other and then the solemn look at the end as if to say "nice doing business with you".
I think it was absurdly insulting for Scorcese to include this scene making the Chinese look like incompetent pussies when the entire movie is a remake of a Chinese movie. It's like he purposely went out of his way to add insult to injury to the makers of Infernal Affairs. Without this scene I'd enjoy the movie but it's just too blatant to ignore.

Why the hell did they just take necessary scenes from Infernal Affairs rather then those scenes that interesting or even important like the arrest scene scene in the beginning of the movie where both moles are in the same room followed by the dinner scene in the prison cell, but no they have taken survival scenes only that are handle extremely badly
