going through muscles in my anatomy lecture. was struggling to understand why external obliques would cause contralateral rotation, but this video seems to explain it. I guess the muscle pulls "origin to insertion" rather than the typical "insertion to origin"?
I think the red is the left side of the external oblique and the purple is the right side of the internal oblique, so I think both red and purple are being contracted.
Best anatomical animation to assist in working out that i can find honestly
These videos are by far the best Illustration of muscle And muscle movement

Yeah , i was also confused
@@drpramodmadeshia244 Me too
This is why we are moving away from “origin insertion” and towards “proximal distal” attachments
I like the videos on this channel. Very informative. but if you can add some voice/music to it , it will be better!
Thank you for the animation! What software is this?
This is amazing sum up
Thank you
❤️❤️loved It
interesting, i wonder if working these out will reduce rib flare in pectus excavatum
If video is with sound it would be good
❤❤❤
0:04 but which side is being contracted, the purple or red?
both, but there is more intensity on the red, the red is doing more work than purple in this exercise, but are still both required
I think the red is the left side of the external oblique and the purple is the right side of the internal oblique, so I think both red and purple are being contracted.
this muscle group action is a little counterintuitive as they tend to contract from their insertions as opposed to the rest.
Land mines are good.
I think you mean landmarks :)
