It’s a different kind of speaker. The larger JBL party speakers will destroy this in terms of perceived volume and bass indoors, but for outdoor, high quality sound use cases the soundboks is at home.
@@kiznisha2562wrong. This soundboks is more louder and more base than any jbl speaker made. He owns all said himself.
@@santana9340 If he said that he’s wrong. All other reviewers that have made the comparison (also plain to see for yourself in videos) the larger JBL party speaker range are far more tailored to bass and indoor listening. You can even check the frequency response stats yourself.
The soundboks is not for this purpose, it is louder (in terms of decibels) and tuned for clarity for outdoor/PA use.
They are both great but fit for different purposes. If you want more bass (and obviously far less portability) you get one of the larger JBLs such as the 710, 1000 etc. if you want a tough portable speaker that gets insanely loud without distortion, you get the soundboks. They are not in competition with each other.

You're absolutely right! Flossy the soundboks sounds absolutely incredible. I have two JBL party box 710s and only one of the soundboks and I have to be honest, even with the one speaker against the two JBL 710s the clarity the high def resolution is extraordinary. I'm going to buy another one and use it for serious listening of my lossless Deezer or title music. It's unbelievable. I highly recommend it the. 710s are good and they go loud but; don't get me wrong on that. They're just a lot of bass. Nothing like the soundboks.😊

I had my Sennheiser 3 earbuds in and I definitely heard the difference. You're not lying. It sucks to think you own the best of the best Bluetooth speakers from a great brand like DiamondBoxx only to be beat by Soundboks. I own two PA10s, two PASub15s, Sub8.2, XL3, L3 and a M3 and now I want a Soundboks 4 😂 You rte ! You're only as good as your last product. Can't wait til DiamondBoxx let you review their NEW XX4 😉

A Quad major Go! Real spill you can hear the difference from the DiamondBoxx even on YT. It was much more clear and crisp, even at max volume. Quad major go, I definitely have to get one!

I already have the xl3 I wish I could return mine but I can't I paid $1999 I'd cancel it and save that $1000 or get 2 soundboks 4's 🤷🏽♂️

In ths sound quality test. Why did you leave the XL3 in SPL mode? When you know it sounds best; when it's not in SPL mode. Take the XL3 out of SPL mode then do the test. I have both speakers and disagree with what you're saying. 😮

@@rawtruthisahardpilltoswall6180Dj here, go with the 710. Although I would recommend a proper PA system, between those two go with the 710. I just bought the sb4. But thats for personal use. When your djing you dont need a battery powered speaker. Go with the 710 trust me

Thoughts on the Bass versus a JBL 710 or 1000?
The bass on the soundboks is considerably less than even the 710 so it stands to reason it’d be ever further behind the 1000 and especially the new party box ultimate. Two different speakers for different use cases. Both great at what they do.
Awesome review presentation! Originally I thought I was good when I bought my JBL boombox 2 Bluetooth speaker but I was expecting louder clearer and harder bass sound from it. So yea I was disappointed, this Soundboks 4 seems to be what I truly want and need for my daily listening and occasional parties . Thanks again for making this video and keep doing what your doing

It kick ass, i used it ONE time full volume... i couldn't believe the power this speaker can produce ! And sound still clean.
I used to ear JBL sound for a while but bass are much more natural on the SB, wich is so enjoyable for Live and acoustic.

Ordered 2 4s on a whim tonight hoping it was the right choice for the extra $300 each… you confirmed it was the right choice just now watching this. Wow, Soundboks was catching flack for this speaker by their fans who were thinking they didn't do enough for a new speaker.
Here in South Africa the Soundboks 4 is the same price as the Partybox Ultimate, which is frankly ridiculous. The soudboks is definately overpriced (atleast here)
The soundboks 4 is 999.95 dollars. Where as the party box Ultimate is 1,699.95 for one, so there's a big difference as far as price.
As I said i'm in South Africa, we don't use american dollars here and after import fees they cost the same for me. M@@plaintruth9179

Bruh why with a pb310? This thing is 1000dlls not even competing. Should be with the 710 at least although yes the jbl doesn't have a battery. Either way I love my pb310!

Saving the "Official Flossy Carter Sound Test Track" for the maximum volume test, I like that.
I am watching and listening on a tablet I have my Samsung AKG earphones plugged in and there is a clear difference between the SOUNDBOKS and the DiamondBoxx. Even through TH-cam you can tell the difference.
The DiamondBoxx looks overpriced compared to the Soundboks.
If some product has the Flossy's Seal of Approval, you are not regretting that deal.

I never really comment. Well I havent commented in at least 5/6 yrs. The 4 sounds AMAZING! Hella CLARITY. But through TH-cam & the sound system I got... The 3 had better, deeper bass. I don't see how anyone can loose no matter which one they pick.
