Me taking the Pokédex way to literally: if cloyster’s shell were impossible to open, wouldn’t that mean by default the cloyster couldn’t open its own shell? That their entire species is doomed to die once they close their shell, upon evolving, for both the first and last time?!?
Idea for next Wideo: Ranking all original 151 pokemon that would be the best teammate in doubles for Wolfey! What pokemon can cover Wolfey's weaknesses or buff him up so he can become first world champion as a player and pokemon!
If you tried to fight a Charmeleon you would be risking death, just for the fact that it's got those claws. Those things are big enough to do you some nasty damage, and if it swings with a Metal Claw I don't see any scenario that you're not getting ripped up.
i think you're underestimating just how dangerous those fire types are, even charmander. you see the thing with burn wounds is that the heat doesn't really matter past a certain point. what DOES matter is the surface area of your skin that is being burned, so if even a charmander decided to just give you one blast head to toe, you're not looking good and if you somehow inhale a bit of the flame, you're probably not getting back up ever.
For context: Skarmory can fly 170 mph and has a base speed stat of 70, so presumably even a Clefairy (base 35) can still run at 85mph... and that's before it starts using Thunder/Blizzard/Flamethrower Let's face it, there's a reason the trainers don't step in once their last Pokemon is KO'd...
I'm not convinced that max speed is simply proportional to speed stat. What if it is log scale or something? Perhaps if we look at the described movement speeds of many different pokemon, and also the speed stats, and see if we can plot a curve through them?
I'm sure the speed stat is more akin to how a pokemon can react or how nimble it is rather than raw speed. Apparently vikavolt flys at high speed but if it can't turn well, then it's speed stat is justified.
Mega pidgeots base speed stat is 121, it known it can fly twice the speed of sound which would be 1534.54mph , I don’t think speed stat is a number you can do math on
Luke Faulkner both Dragonite and Magikarp have base speed of 80, while Dragonite could fly around the earth in 16 hours (2500km/hour). It’s obvious that Magikarp couldn’t do that. So base stat may not be accurate
Pokedex for Blastoise: The jets of water it spouts from the rocket cannons on its shell can punch through thick steel. Yes seriously there's no-way an unarmed human can beat Blastoise.
@@FayenMorval If a water force is enough to punch through thick steel, the speed of that water should exceed bullet flying speed. (probably faster than speed of sound) No-way can human react to such speed.

Safety Goggles High Hp and Attack evs Ability - Human Power: Lets him substitute his intelligence for Speed, then add the result of any Knowledge: Pokemon Lore checks to his speed and evasion. Moves: Anger Hit: Normal type, high critical hit rate, but low accuracy. Accuracy and base power increase based on the second held item granted by Human Power, and may gain alternate types. Grapple: Normal Status move that immobilizes the target. Fails against pokemon that weigh more than the user, are uncoporeal, or spikey Lighter: Fire, low power, high burn rate. Deals triple damage on pokemon immobilized by Grapple. Rock Throw: changes type and power based on the second held item granted by Human Power. I believe this is the ideal set for a Human in the general meta. 21:24 "Im gonna put electrode in neutral because if it explodes I win" The thing has a 140 base speed stat, if it rolls into you at max speed you are screwed not to mention it can also shock you. I beg to differ if your entire plan is for the thing to blow up

Exactly!
Pretty easy counter for geodude, just throw it in the air and let it drop
If you can bring another magnet you can disable it.
thing with magnemite is that you just need to grab both magnets and then twist one of them, so the force of the two magnets repelling each other rips it apart.

According to the pokedex, Cloyster's shell is impossible to open.

A lot of clams shells are hard to open, so gulls will drop them from a height, the amount of tension a clam puts on its shell helps
BigOrangeSnowman88 Also the pokedex: I've made an oof
Me taking the Pokédex way to literally: if cloyster’s shell were impossible to open, wouldn’t that mean by default the cloyster couldn’t open its own shell? That their entire species is doomed to die once they close their shell, upon evolving, for both the first and last time?!?

i think you're underestimating just how dangerous those fire types are, even charmander.
you see the thing with burn wounds is that the heat doesn't really matter past a certain point. what DOES matter is the surface area of your skin that is being burned, so if even a charmander decided to just give you one blast head to toe, you're not looking good and if you somehow inhale a bit of the flame, you're probably not getting back up ever.
For context: Skarmory can fly 170 mph and has a base speed stat of 70, so presumably even a Clefairy (base 35) can still run at 85mph... and that's before it starts using Thunder/Blizzard/Flamethrower
Let's face it, there's a reason the trainers don't step in once their last Pokemon is KO'd...
Max Speed at base 70 is 134, and Max Speed at base 35 is 95. Considering that ratio, Clefairy can run at 120.522 mph.
Just dodge.
@@FayenMorval If a water force is enough to punch through thick steel, the speed of that water should exceed bullet flying speed. (probably faster than speed of sound)
No-way can human react to such speed.
And even if you sneak up on it what are you going to do to hurt a giant turtle?

@Ultimate Absol just bring plastic straws with you
When you see how small some of these things are, I think you'd rethink what your own base stats are

Ability - Human Power: Lets him substitute his intelligence for Speed, then add the result of any Knowledge: Pokemon Lore checks to his speed and evasion.
Grants a second held item slot that can be dynamically changed throughout the battle. This held item interacts with various other moves.
Moves:
Anger Hit: Normal type, high critical hit rate, but low accuracy. Accuracy and base power increase based on the second held item granted by Human Power, and may gain alternate types.
Grapple: Normal Status move that immobilizes the target. Fails against pokemon that weigh more than the user, are uncoporeal, or spikey
Lighter: Fire, low power, high burn rate. Deals triple damage on pokemon immobilized by Grapple.
Rock Throw: changes type and power based on the second held item granted by Human Power.
I believe this is the ideal set for a Human in the general meta. Grapple is obviously situational, but its capacity to outright shut down a lot of pokemon, or enable the special moves Hostage and Choke. Choke can even be used on pokemon outside the user's weight class too.
21:24 "Im gonna put electrode in neutral because if it explodes I win" The thing has a 140 base speed stat, if it rolls into you at max speed you are screwed not to mention it can also shock you. I beg to differ if your entire plan is for the thing to blow up
