"Pokémon Altered Platinum is a [Renegade] Platinum hack which makes radical changes to the way the game works, for the sake of fun and a fresh Sinnoh experience. Meet 30 new Sinnohan forms... each with a unique design, type, stats and more! Play with old Pokémon that have been changed so extensively that it's like they're brand-new, and get used to an overall higher standard of power where almost everything should be usable."

Yeah, I agree that the Togepi line's typing is kind of odd. It originally evolved from a Grass type into a Grass/Dragon type, which makes more sense with its design, but the trouble is that Grass/Dragon is just awful for a bulky physical attacker, especially with how strong Ice-types are now. There wasn't much I could do for it without making it insanely broken, or changing its typing. I chose /Water because it's a fruit, so it's full of juice. This was why it could already learn a lot of Water moves before. Grass/Water also just works far better on defense.
Its design is based on the leaked beta version of Togekiss, by the way.
Oh, fun fact, Parasect's new mushroom is meant to be shaped like a wizard hat!
I think Dunsparce could probably use a toned down Attack. Maybe Hustle is too much for it. There's little reason to go for Mold Breaker at the moment, because of its raw power- unless you just really dislike the inaccuracy. Maybe Limber instead of Hustle?
I should also mention that Tropius lost Chlorophyll in a recent update in favor of Determined, a renamed version of Rock Head. I did this because physical sets were previously unviable for the most part, since its best physical Fire move was Flare Blitz, which has anti-synergy with its bulky stats. Determined lets it spam *both* Flare Blitz and Wood Hammer with impunity.
Currently its ability combo is Determined/Flame Body, but perhaps Determined/Chlorophyll would work better? I dunno, what do you think?
It's worth mentioning that Tropius is pretty decently fast, but in the sun it's nearly impossible to outspeed. Given its decent offenses and how bulky it is, Chlorophyll may actually be OP.
Looks like Volkner's Sharpedo is supposed to have a Life Orb, not Leftovers. I'm guessing that was an oversight caused by how my trainer editor works.
Yeah, all the Gym Leaders and Elite Four are based on themes and mechanics now, instead of types. That's why Volkner only has a few Electric types now; his theme is fast Pokemon! So some of them are scarfed, his Sharpedo has Speed Boost, and his Crobat and Alakazam are just really fast.
Aaron has an Omastar and Tangrowth now because his theme is invertebrate/weird Pokemon, instead of just bugs.
Flygon lost Levitate because it proved to be a little too hard to take down with it in play. It's supposed to be squishy, but Fire/Electric is actually an amazing defensive type with Levitate, and it was too difficult to stop a sweep, even when you had a Pokemon that could take it out. Without Levitate, it at least has an Achilles' heel.
Deadeye(Compound Eyes) and Solar Power do make it better at its job to compensate, though. Deadeye lets it use 100% accuracy Fire Blast and Thunder, and Solar Power is just a natural pick thematically, which also makes it very scary in sun.
Forretress is just a completely off-the-wall concept I made for fun. If it had been a bulky Special attacker, it would've been too similar to Zapdos.
It's actually based on Kracko from the Kirby series! This is why its dex entry mentions it hunting Jigglypuff.
Not much to say about Rapidash, but I would like to mention it's based on an actual mythological creature- the hippocampus, a literal sea horse. The mythological inspiration is where the Fairy type comes from.
Come to think of it, Swift Swim 90 Speed Dragonite is probably super super busted. I should probably change that... Maybe Rain Dish? That would take advantage of its bulk.
Seems like lots of them are outright broken. Dusparce especially has way too high of stats.
I don't pick up a lot of rom hacks but I kinda wanna grab this just for Hippocampus Rapidash. The Fish Ponies seem like a no brainer for a pokemon concept.

Sweet that some unloved Pokemon now get a bit more love due to being more powerful and balanced.
Turning dunsparce from mem into total powerhouse is maybe a bit much but you said you will balance it so no problem here.

@@TotshotAirsoft It's not quite as extreme as it looks. Most fully-evolved or non-evolving non-legendary Pokemon have a BST of around 500-555, so the standard for power is much higher.

I love all the sinnohian forms, but dragonite and aggron gotta be my favorites. Also, maybe Togekiss is water grass because normal togekiss evolves from a sun stone (if I'm thinking correctly) and since the new one is based off an apple that the water/grass type was based off the drink Sunkist?

Sinnohan Dragonite makes me think of Vania from Slime 300, something about the head-fins and adorable goofy look. A form tier-list would be neat; it seems like the author put in more effort then most to make them functionally above average, but not game breaking.
MahDryBread doesn’t make purely Hardcore Nuzlocke Pokémon vids, he’s still doing the mono type/mono Pokémon challenge like JRose is and they’re doing well so you’re good homie we got some variety around the poketuber community 😁

Yo! Quality vid as always Chizzy glad to see another interesting run! This also of course leads in to my question, have you played Pokémon Unbound? I think you’d really like it, since it has a hardcore competitive based battling style (similar to Radical red) and plenty of accessibility options to go along with it. I personally found it more challenging than Radical Red, especially if you play on Insane mode. Anyways, hope your week is going well and can’t wait for your next vid!

Another thumbs up for chiz, also this might just be me. But what about trying out storm silver/sacret gold as a series? Its another drayano hack, while it may not have pokemon up to gen 8, it still helped out at least a few needed pokemon, and changed evolutions. If not. Hope you at least have a good day

Had an idea for weather effects during the second gymbattle.
Specialeffects for specific types:
Icepokemon get damage every round from sunlight, like sanstormdamage. Grasstypes get a little bit hp back due to being able to photosynthesis.
When it´s raining Firetype pokemon get damage. Insects get a initiativ "debuff" (real insects look for shelter and don´t fly in rain). Same applies for flying types but only after 2 rounds in the rain.
For Hail it would make sense to give Icetypes a defense boost due to them getting extra layers of ice. Water pokemon on the other hand should take double damage through icetypes and have a doubled chance of freezingeffect. Fireattacks should do less damage, fire would only melt the hailpieces and make it into rain, which would have the same effect on fireattacks.
Sanstorm can stay as it is find this the most balanced from all weathereffects.
What do you guys think?
Love the logic behind those weather effects especially hail giving Ice defense boosts. Idk how much of an imbalance those effects could potentially create competitively, but it’s fun to hear the ideas nonetheless

How do you get sinnnoian scizor? When I use a metal coat on scyther it just evolves into a regular scizor. Is this a programming error or is there another way to get the right evolution?
