there's so much to think about when you're learning to drive. she did miss a lot of the basic driving skill, (cancelling signal, watching where you're going etc) so doing a practice test like this would be very beneficial! these videos really do help me learn what to do, and what not to do : )
I just passed my driving test just an hour ago and I want to say a thank you to Pin! This channel helped a lot in the upcoming weeks to my test in understanding the common do's and don't which I believe helped me out with my driving. This channel and community are awesome!
I wanna say a couple of things: first off, you'll notice that her English doesn't seem to be the best, and she's quite slow when responding back to Pin's request to cancel the signal, for example. This might've been a major factor when she was learning to drive with her own instructor. Either the instructor hasn't been clear with their instructions or the given information wasn't understood correctly or the instructions were interpreted differently. As she's already struggling with an automatic car, she really needs to hone in on the basics and make sure she doesn't do these little mistakes that add up in serious/dangerous driving faults. P.S. Realistically speaking, with this many serious/dangerous faults, the test should've been terminated.
But you see Pin needed content for TH-cam Which is why he let the test continue. This was a juicy one for sure, many will love. But when comes to the test, that won’t be the case.
@@Big_H2 I totally get that, but Covid is still around and you wanna be realistic with the learners. I don't mind him not terminating the test, but it should've been realistically speaking, looking at the amount of serious/dangerous faults. I saw another mock test on a different channel, and the guy was driving so sporatically, creating dangerous faults in the process that the mock instructor had to terminate the test.
@@hungleba3996 answered it yourself The mock test that you see on TH-cam should be as realistic and close to the actual test so that learners can get a feel of what the real test is like. This mock test wasn’t. If this test was terminated, that would’ve been a reality check for the learner, so that they know this same BS will not be condoned on the real test. If Pin kept it 100 he should’ve stopped the test when she did the dangerous driving fault but no. He let the lunacy continue for the full duration of the mock test. It was clear that this learner will continue to make the serious faults but the test continued till the end so idk🤷♂️
@@Big_H2 That's what I'm tryna say the whole time. But then again, she needs to get the basics down before doing the more challenging stuff, like following the sat-naw, knowing the roundabout rules etc. I feel like she needs an interpreter/translator with her so that she can fully understand the information given to her.
It seemed to me that Liana was getting more confused following the satnav because it was telling her multiple orders in a row. When he was giving roundabout directions, yes she was still often signalling wrong but she understood better. But I definitely agree after almost 40 hours she should know all of the basics and have better control of the car. Her instructor needs to work better with her.
The satnav is only describing the road ahead , if there's a turn immediately after the one you're on you need to know in advance. Would you rather it waited till it was too late?
What's confusing about roundabouts is that there are different rules in different countries. In Finland we NEVER signal when entering a roundabout and ALWAYS when exiting so that other cars know you are turning off. In Australia they keep the indicator on UNTIL exiting.
I feel like someone needs to talk to her instructor. I've only had about 6 hours of driving lessons and even I know the basics. Something isn't right here
It can be a crazy world out there for motorists, she just needs more patience and accept more learning. Don't book your test just because you've done so many lessons and think time is due. Go off your skill set.
Driving is such a big deal for some people, not everyone is confident on the road. She had a lot of big roundabouts on this test and they can be daunting for some as they can get very busy. I passed my driving test 2 days ago but I absolutely feel for her because I was once at that stage learning how to drive, it’s a long, stressful, and sometimes emotional challenge but when you get that pass certificate it all becomes worth it. She clearly needs a new instructor because she shouldn’t be on main roads like this if she’s making that many serious faults, while her language may be a barrier we only do what our instructor teaches us. Good luck to anyone who’s reading this learning how to drive or soon to take a test 🙏🏼
Roundabouts are a staple of UK roads, my instructor grilled the crap out of me with the roundabouts. Honestly it payed off, Ive done about 10k miles in a year after passing the test with 0 accidens, I think he was onto something.
Bless her!! . She will need a lot more practice if she is going to be taking that test in a week. At this point I would have just had to ask her to pull up and take over. Plus her knowledge of English isn’t very good either so what the satnav is saying would be extremely hard and confusing for her to understand. I feel so bad for her, you can clearly see she is struggling with this. Maybe she should change instructors
Passed my test first time last week with 6 minors, watching these videos really helped. Finally part of the group that have already passed their test and just watch these for fun now 🤣
I had my driving test yesterday, i was so scared. But i passed with only 6 faults! Watching your videos really helped to improve in certain areas. Keep up the good work!!
I notice that in two of her errors drivers who aren't learners do exactly the same thing. One enters a box junction to block it and another stops at a traffic light controlled round about! We are all learner drivers!!
Some of the traits she has like indicating left on approach to roundabouts when going straight ahead must have been taught to her by an instructor. She later explains that implementing this procedure depends on the size of the roundabout. The obvious question would be at what specific size or type does it cut in, if you were her original instructor. Any driving instructor should spot this fault and tell her it is completely wrong. It is difficult to understand why it persists.
They amount of knowledge I’m gaining just from these videos alone and with the ultimate driving course, pin you are a hero🙏 just a shame I can’t get any available tests till at least next year😭
Need loads of lessons on road awareness and lane disipline. Also needs to leave the indicators for roundabouts till needed. After a lot of lessons, im sure eventually she will be test ready x
At some point we all understand how hard it was to learn to drive, now imagine having extra barriers like language. Yes, she clearly needs more lessons and maybe a new instructor, but that's really the point of a mock test right? To see where you're driving is at and if you're experienced and capable enough to pass. I will say though, how is she not absolutely going insane with the indicator noise? It drives me insane when I'm driving so I have no clue how she can block that noise out 😂
I thought mock test was for those who's almost rdy to go to actual test - shows capability /demonstrable understanding of the task. What I witnessed in this vid should've been handled during the lesson period not close to actual test. I get that ppl get nervous or makes silly mistake as I did but considering amount of serious fault she got, she far from being rdy for actual test.
I used to forget the indicator as well not too long ago. I used to be so focused on the road and everything else as much as possibly that the noise was legit almost drowned out; once my instructor would point it out would I realize it, so that's probably what was going on with her.
It's too easy to forget we were all learners one day. But I think this nice lady needed a new driving instructor. To have that many lessons and be making some of those errors should not be happening. I really enjoy watching these videos. It's like having refresher course. 😊
I wonder how her first lesson went. Looks like nerves are getting the better of that learner. Easier said than done, but the learner should keep calm and collected like Pin did.
I failed 3 times with less than 3 minors each time due to my crazy anxiety causing one stupid mistake each time (always on my way back to the test centre with a pass 🤦🏼♀️).
Poor Lady... She will be fine after few practices.. Need some deep lessons on line disciplines and Signal... Wishing good for her future driving lessons..
@@YFB72 Thats not how youre supposed to turn, you will miss exits because of slower turning, no free hands to use the indicator in a roundabout and very unconfortable as a passenger because of all the mini turns instead of one big one. Watch this short vid th-cam.com/video/J3SDBmVcDXs/w-d-xo.html

Driving is about constantly thinking, observing, checking, and planning your transit. You need to be like a manager who loves micromanaging, you want to know what exactly is going on, what situation you are in right now, where and how every single detail is being positioned, only then will you be able to do your blind spot checks, mirror checks, and operate the car correctly and intuitively. Often, learner drivers go through certain motions without actually understanding the purpose of doing the manoeuvre. Seasoned drivers tend to neglect because they’re “used to it”.
Can't believe how many times you have to grab the steering wheel. That happens in all of your videos. You're so brave. Not sure I want to take my Part 2 with all these risks 😱
She has had so many hours of lessons but still thinks it’s okay to signal left when going straight ahead on a roundabout, something doesn’t seem right about her instructor
@@josephmarsh8235 because she was incredibly stressed and nervous, and this is a practice run, a mock driving test, meaning she is there to learn and improve her mistakes. So the fact that people like the first reply are ridiculing her for trying to learn isn’t very nice nor helpful.
Great video. I suspect that a lot of what she has been told in lessons has been lost in translation and sadly her instructor hasn’t made sure she understood. After so many lessons I am astounded that she didn’t realise how to indicate at roundabouts.
Massive thanks to DGN driving school these videos have helped me prepare for my test and passed on the 28th of June with just 4 minors. Highly recommended for new drivers 👌🏻
She said 40 hours of driving or something like that. Bro, if you drive an automatic and get so many driving faults just consider not to take a driver's lisence.
The mock test for existing learners who still have yet to do the test but already got hours under their belt. Seems to be the best way to gauge the learner's current ability. Re-reviewing a video footage after the drive both the instructor showing the learner and the learner taking home that video and check where he/she made a mistake or taking notes of the faults he/she made can really help pin point the problem area's and focus there. Like for example a very simple seems to have become a habit for her, when going straight in a round about or 2nd exit. She seems to habitually put the signal to the left. Which would indicate that she would exit on the first exit. When she in fact she needs to get off the 2nd exit. Which can easily be rectified, but as in the video she kept doing the same routine. Really nice informational video. And yes, a lot of drivers on the road who already passed their test make similar mistakes not realizing, some do not even bother signaling and when it goes to a near accident, they will flip you off cause they did not signal correct, or not in the correct lane.
we all start somewhere, and if it wasn't for instructors like Pin giving these learners a chance they would never get anywhere. I do have to say though having watched many of Pin's videos and downloading the ultimate driving course for my daughter the lady in this video is one of the most dangerous pupils he has had doing a mock test.

Hi Pin, today I want to thank you for the ultimate drive course because this morning I saved a boy life. On the course, you said when turning right or left don't put our foot the gas pedal keeps it on the brake until we see clear ahead that what I did today after turning right a child runs in front of my car and I managed to brake on time he stood in the front car and both hands-on the car boot. I thank God he didn't hurt. Thank you again You're a good instructor.
her biggest problem is the zero awareness of what's around her, basically an accident waiting to happen right now, she's either only had 2 or 3 lessons or a really bad instructor
Or she's just not cut out for driving, some people just cannot drive no matter how many lessons.

there's so much to think about when you're learning to drive. she did miss a lot of the basic driving skill, (cancelling signal, watching where you're going etc) so doing a practice test like this would be very beneficial! these videos really do help me learn what to do, and what not to do : )
I just passed my driving test just an hour ago and I want to say a thank you to Pin! This channel helped a lot in the upcoming weeks to my test in understanding the common do's and don't which I believe helped me out with my driving. This channel and community are awesome!
She made the indicator work overtime
Wow... This lady is months away from passing her test, I hope this mock test opened her eyes.
But you see
Pin needed content for TH-cam
Which is why he let the test continue.
@@hungleba3996 answered it yourself
The mock test that you see on TH-cam should be as realistic and close to the actual test so that learners can get a feel of what the real test is like.
You sir deserve a holiday.
i think he just came back from one as well LMAO
What's confusing about roundabouts is that there are different rules in different countries. In Finland we NEVER signal when entering a roundabout and ALWAYS when exiting so that other cars know you are turning off. In Australia they keep the indicator on UNTIL exiting.
Then don’t come here . Go back to where u came from

The language barrier here is a huuuge factor!!

I'm sorry but the left-signal-obsession had me going crazy 😅
Some of the traits she has like indicating left on approach to roundabouts when going straight ahead must have been taught to her by an instructor. She later explains that implementing this procedure depends on the size of the roundabout. The obvious question would be at what specific size or type does it cut in, if you were her original instructor. Any driving instructor should spot this fault and tell her it is completely wrong. It is difficult to understand why it persists.
